Ana Navarro is the only Republican who will be at this convention that I would be happy with.

Excited to hear that she will be hosting Tuesday night.

Felon trump's policy is all about tariff and cutting taxes for the top 1%. He lost 3million jobs before he left and oversaw the death of millions of Americans because he bungled the early fight against COVID. Even Herman Cain died from catching COVID in his rally. The rapist caught COVID and almost died.

And you want to talk about rapist trump's policies? There's palpable fatigue and exhaustion right now about the rapist and a kind of PTSD because many Americans felt the supply chain disaster because of his COVID handling, that stores were empty and people fought over toilet paper. American didn't recover under the rapist as 2020 was the worst year compared to 1929 when America entered it's depression.

Looking at the present time we need to give President Biden his flowers for turning things around from the disaster of rapist trump.

Except you are one lizard under a rock, and you've never lived under the dark felon trump's presidency, I'll say you are not living in real life.

I urge you to get a mental health check now .

And stop throwing the word communist around because it's only an ignorant idiot that does that.

When Ivana was from communist chezch, Melania's father served under communist Yugoslavia before they cut into communist Slovenia. The rapist adores Kim jong un, a Communist.

You have a real mental health problem, seriously.

I don't buy into false equivalencies.
Your argument is that leadership doesn't have any effect.
So, by your argument the US death rate per capita would be equal amongst "wealthy" countries. (Using "wealthy" countries as those who will have better reporting). But the death rate wasn't. The US's was worse. So, how would you account for that, besides the terrible leadership we saw with our eyes. A president who politicized masks (we still have people arguing that masks (that hospital workers have used for centuries) don't work), politicized the pandemic and intimated that drinking bleach would work.

Good Luck arguing economic policy with people who don't think low interest rates are inflationary.

Many states already have price gouging laws. I think there are enough brilliant economists to make a Federal price gouging law esp. for emergency situations (like coming out of a Global Pandemic) that would work.
The free markets only work if there is competition. With the slate of consolidation in various sectors that the Gov't didn't shut down, it's easier to collude to raise prices. And so without that competition we saw what happened after Covid. Too much monopolistic behavior.
Just look at the record corporate earnings post Covid.
I think that was one of Biden's biggest failings. Not coming down harder on it or speaking more on it. And of course that is because both parties are bought and sold by big business. Though, to the Dem's credit, by a much much smaller degree.

You are ignorant in this. So ignorant.

More people died under Biden than Trump.
Secondly, it is not clear if mask helped during the pandemic. Again, you are a tool with no agency.

Trump's comments of the Congressional Medal of Honor should be disqualifying for any Presidential Candidate.
He doesn't understand the type of sacrifice the Congressional Medal of Honor awards. It's the glue that keeps the military together.
And because of that, he can't effectively be a Commander in Chief who may ask 18yos to give up their lives for that type of sacrifice.

Dude shutup. Africa, less mask, less lockdown, less spread, less cases, less social distancing, less virus.

Cochrain
The results from those trials indicated that “wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness”.

Did the report really say masks do not slow the spread of COVID-19?
This is disputed. Cochrane officially says the report was inconclusive and one of the report’s co-authors says there is no evidence masks work. - Aljazeera

About low interest rate, Obama sat on low FFR for almost 8 years if not more. That's 0 to 0.25% from 2008 to 2015. The second time this happened was 2020
Sometimes you need low interest rate, some times you need more.

There are times money is needed to circulate, there are times it should be cut.
Trump FED reduce interest rate to almost 0 to stimulate the economy because of the lockdown and pandemic. Biden came, left it like it is. Businesses are running normally, then he printed more money into the system for green new crap while not addressing the supply chain issues.

You grandpa acted late on everything.

You don't even understand the English language enough to understand what you read.
The Cochrane study you wrote about wasn't a study on the efficacy of Masks it was a study on the efficacy of mask interventions (or telling people to wear masks or distributing masks for people to wear).

Here are some quotes from a statement from the editor in chief of the Cochrane Library who did the Study.
“Many commentators have claimed that a recently updated Cochrane review shows that ‘masks don’t work,’ which is an inaccurate and misleading interpretation,” Karla Soares-Weiser, the editor in chief of the Cochrane Library, said in a statement.

“The review examined whether interventions to promote mask wearing help to slow the spread of respiratory viruses,” Soares-Weiser said, adding, “Given the limitations in the primary evidence, the review is not able to address the question of whether mask wearing itself reduces people’s risk of contracting or spreading respiratory viruses.

She said that “this wording was open to misinterpretation, for which we apologize,” and that Cochrane would revise the summary.

Soares-Weiser also said, though, that one of the lead authors of the review even more seriously misinterpreted its finding on masks by saying in an interview that it proved “there is just no evidence that they make any difference.” In fact, Soares-Weiser said, “that statement is not an accurate representation of what the review found.”

Shame in life is a good thing. It makes you want to be better. You have no shame and feel no embarrassment so you continue to post nonsense you don't understand, lie and look stupid like you always do.

As I said, you don't even have the capacity to understand the english language so you can understand the things you post like the Cochrane study, let alone the capacity to discuss with someone like me, who has studied these things.

You are an idiot.
What are you even saying?
Did you read what is on the link you posted?

The risk of bias for the RCTs and cluster-RCTs was mostly high or unclear. Medical/surgical masks compared to no masks We included 12 trials (10 cluster-RCTs) comparing medical/surgical masks versus no masks to prevent the spread of viral respiratory illness (two trials with healthcare workers and 10 in the community). Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza-like illness (ILI)/COVID-19 like illness compared to not wearing masks (risk ratio (RR) 0.95, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.84 to 1.09; 9 trials, 276,917 participants; moderate-certainty evidence.

This is in the main result of the abstract.
Again, explain why less mask and less social distancing in Africa did not result to more deaths compared to US and Europe?

Like I said, they are not clear if wearing mask prevent covid or not. Your reply to me says the same.

They are literally talking about you in this press release when they say "Many commentators have claimed that a recently-updated Cochrane Review shows that 'masks don't work', which is an inaccurate and misleading interpretation. ".
Also talking about you when they say, "has been widely misinterpreted ."

And even though I've explained it to you, you still don't understand what it says.
LOL.
There's few posters dumber than you in this thread.

The Cochrane Review 'Physical interventions to interrupt or reduce the spread of respiratory viruses' was published in January 2023 and has been widely misinterpreted.

Karla Soares-Weiser, Editor-in-Chief of the Cochrane Library, has responded on behalf of Cochrane:

Many commentators have claimed that a recently-updated Cochrane Review shows that 'masks don't work', which is an inaccurate and misleading interpretation.

It would be accurate to say that the review examined whether interventions to promote mask wearing help to slow the spread of respiratory viruses, and that the results were inconclusive. Given the limitations in the primary evidence, the review is not able to address the question of whether mask-wearing itself reduces people's risk of contracting or spreading respiratory viruses.

The review authors are clear on the limitations in the abstract: 'The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions.' Adherence in this context refers to the number of people who actually wore the provided masks when encouraged to do so as part of the intervention. For example, in the most heavily-weighted trial of interventions to promote community mask wearing, 42.3% of people in the intervention arm wore masks compared to 13.3% of those in the control arm.

The original Plain Language Summary for this review stated that 'We are uncertain whether wearing masks or N95/P2 respirators helps to slow the spread of respiratory viruses based on the studies we assessed.' This wording was open to misinterpretation, for which we apologize. While scientific evidence is never immune to misinterpretation, we take responsibility for not making the wording clearer from the outset. We are engaging with the review authors with the aim of updating the Plain Language Summary and abstract to make clear that the review looked at whether interventions to promote mask wearing help to slow the spread of respiratory viruses.
