However, I don't think we can completely run away from buying fuel. For instance, I've not used my generator for well over a year now (electricity supply have been very good, and I also went solar as backup), but we have to fuel our car to get around.
Apart from the fact that Nigeria is an oil producing country, fuel is very cheap.

Basic Government 101. You must have a govt before you have an economy. You can only have a govt when the people recognise the govt and believe it exists for their benefits. If not, govt is on the road to Bangladesh.

Your subsidy removal theory has failed time and again. Any time it is attempted, it leads to inflation, high cost of living and ultimately political instability.

If you claim in 2012 you saw the light of subsidy removal but since then you haven't seen the challenges it brings, then I regret to inform you that you actually went blind in 2012.
