If you know your UCI & Application Numbers, you can open a status tracker on the CIC website. At least, you will have some insight into what's happening in your application. Cheers. Cboss: |

Cboss: Nothing, Why do you guys still insist on using agents? This whole IRCC waka was designed to be DIY. If you encounter issues, ask questions but y'all keeping empowering your agents and leaving your future plans in their hands. I don't understand it 2 Likes |

DTruth10: In my opinion, you do not have 4 years worth of work experience that you can claim because you were not on a work permit. You can clarify if you applied and worked with a pgwp while in Canada. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by vickyehi: 7:31am On Aug 27 |
DTruth10: Your application profile is as good as you never stepped a foot into Canada. You are NOT CEC category as you did not graduate and neither did you work with a work permit. So you would receive ZERO points for Canadian experience and education. At least you actually went to school in Nigeria so you can access you nd and HND then use that for express entry. You having lived in Canada for 7.5 years sadly has no bearing to your PR points. It quite sad that you couldn’t make it work in 7.5 years. 2 Likes |

vickyehi: Personally I feel and I know I achieved a lot while there and that experience will always remain with me. Regarding work experience, I still believe parts of that must be eligible. I guess I'll just ask a consultant directly. Thanks for your feedback. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Lastbornbuns: 11:16am On Aug 27 |
vickyehi: If anything, I think his 7.5-year stay in Canada will negatively affect his pr application. 1. He was escorted by 3 officials from Canada to Nigeria after being detained whilst a travel document was being prepared for him. (if that's not deportation then...) 2. The Canadian government paid for, not only his flight ticket, but the tickets of the 3 escorts to get him back to Nigeria. 3. He has a debt to a canadian school 4. He got a 4 year (presumably) Study visa, overstayed for extra and has ~4 years of work experience? This alone will raise a lot of flags. You're not supposed to work more than 20 hours during term time and there aren't enough summers/holidays to accrue that number of years of experience. 5. He doesn't have plans of settling his debt to the school, hence he cannot claim points for Canadian education (that he didn't finish). Seems like a ban in the making to me but I could be wrong. Definitely won't be a straightforward application. 6 Likes |

Hi, I had my AOR May 11th and Biometrics July 25th and no update since then. When I try to use the tracker to check my status I get an error message and their help page implies that my application hasn't begun processing, but i know it's impossible at this stage. I've used my UCI and Application number on my BIL yet I can't access tracker. Do you have any suggestions or a solution to this? Thanks. folla: |

DTruth10:Definitely. All exposure is good exposure as long as we learn from it. Feel free to book a consultation with an immigration lawyer. 1 Like |

Lastbornbuns: Well if he wasn’t banned, then they wouldn’t effect a ban now for no reason. However, he would need to do more to prove that he is going to stick to his visa regulations this time around. A PR visa is the best option but he can only use his naija education and experience. He can’t claim points for his partial canadian education even if the outstanding tuition is paid. And yes, excorting him to naija is a removal order. Whether he voluntarily went there and cooperated or not. He would definitely need to engage with an immigration lawyer for any further application to Canada. So his previous breach can be appealed and proof can be shown that he is rehabilitated now and can support himself. Else any temporary residency application is an automatic refusal based on the history of removal. 1 Like |

DTruth10:the only way you can enter Canada back is via marriage. You didn’t complete your studies so no points for canada study, your so called work experiences while being a student doesn’t count as work experience/ summer jobs. You know the truth ( your moniker is Dtruth) but you want others to validate you delusions. No no no no 9 Likes |

ultimatewarrior: Unfortunately the tracker itself hasn't been updated by IRCC since mid-June, so it's of no help. Can you atleast get the email? I honestly don't know why agents do this. Is this a way of punishing old clients or what? Please any agent that doesn't allow you have 100% access to your profile when need be(have this in a contract), run. |

DTruth10: You know you're leaving certain things out, but that's ok. Your best bet will be an immigration lawyer. They'll relay your options in accordance with the law. 1 Like |

Hello Everyone, I need the help of the house. I have a certificate from ICAN from the Accounting Technicians Scheme West Africa (ATSWA) program. Has anyone tried and had any success using this Accounting Technician certificate to claim points for a second degree (the 2 or more category)? I would like to confirm this before proceeding to WES to add it to my BSc degree. Please I would appreciate any tips or help concerning this. Thank you. |

Maria96: You do sound quite bitter. Believe what you want. Your opinion and info are false and non factors in my decision moving forward. Counting education: I have a HND and was in my Third year in Canada - that counts for something. I was escorted as per protocol (found this out from my interactions with the officials). |

Hello house, I need some advice on how to go about providing proof of my first month salary, we are all aware that we get paid in cash for the first month of service year. Please how can I go about providing proof of that, EE asks for last 6 months, but OINP asks for first and last month payslips. FIXED!!! 😊 |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Afolavid: 10:56pm On Aug 27 |
DTruth10: Go ahead and submit your PR application. As you said, your 3 years of uncompleted education counts for something. I can guarantee you your PR application will be approved automatically. And don't worry about the previous issues you had with the immigration officers in Canada, they escorted you to Nigeria based on the V.I.P that you are. I've told you the sweet lies others refused to tell you. All the best!!! 15 Likes |

After research, careful review of my documents and consultation, I have found out I was issued a direction to leave Canada, which later became a departure order because of my cooperation. Thankfully, I am exempt from something called ARC (I am in the clear, thank God), which one can apply for to seek redress from those situations (Yes, you can seek redress from deportation as well). I will be doing more research on the issue and should update as things move along. Just happy to be in the clear and indeed prove the naysayers wrong. Cheers. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/reasons/authorization-return-canada/eligibility.html#departure 2 Likes |
