No, I didn't take any letter with me. And those three are exactly the documents I submitted. Mind you, mine is a fresh application and not a renewal

My local government is wrong spelt on immigration portal, once all the local government populate, I discovered they that of my LGA was wrong spelt instead of East it was written as Ast ( for eaxample: Odan East was Written as Odanast.)on immigration portal, I hope selecting it like that will not be a problem later on ?

Good day all, my friend wanted to renew his passport online but the portal is asking for reference number before he can proceed, has checked hismpassport there is nothing like references number there how will him go about it?

The old passport which is expiring soon was done by an agent but he wants to do this new one by himself but he is having issues getting the reference number.

How can him get his reference number ?

He was a fresh passport applicant. A fresh Nigerian passport applicant is not required to attach an application letter to his or her application.


REQUIREMENTS FOR FRESH NIGERIAN PASSPORT

Letter of identification from Local Government/State of origin or residence or National Identity Card or letter of introduction for employees of the government as a Nigerian citizen stating service number, length of service and designation/rank. The letter must be accompanied with a valid staff identity card.

Completed passport application form.

Marriage certificate, where applicable.

Birth Certificate (certificate issued by the National Population Commission shall be required from applicants whose date of birth is with effect from Dec 1992) or Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths.

Please does booking of appointment means the day I will go for capturing?
Someone is telling me that I'm not supposed to book an appointment yet.. That it's after capturing I will book an appointment.

Yes it means the day you will go for capturing.
Ignore that person he knows nothing about the application process, it is the appointment that qualifies you for capturing.

Pls someone should help and clarify this approval mail issue, when should I begin to expect an approval mail? I have made the payment, I have received a mail that said paymemt complete, in that mail is a link to book for appointment, which I have done. I have gotten an appointment slip. So which one is the approval mail again? Someone should help out pls. This is my current status.

They are not required for Nigerian passport renewal only.

Fresh passport application requirements for minor (under 18 years of age)

Completed passport application form attached with 1 passport sized photograph of minor to be endorsed on the reverse side by the consenting parent(s).

Evidence of Nigerian citizenship of parent(s).

Birth certificate (certificate must be issued by the National Population Commission for minors born within Nigeria).

Letter of consent from either parent.
