@Unusoj1 T= time. In this context, refers to days.
I hope you take the expectation with Mudu of salt. Just going off trends seen across the board. Montreal (partner in slow Il like lagos ) in the last week or so have seen IL sent for January through April / May DQ 2023. Will not be surprised to see Lagos IR/CR get IL resume again within 2 weeks after 3- 5 months haitus as student visa process for fall and summer tourist surge start to wind down.

Eb2 should be next in line for IL or next month. The question will be how many months of 2023 DQ will IL cover January through May (highly probable) vs June (possible if the number of candidates are not much) or the whole of 2023 DQ ( low probability but seeing how Eb3 keeps getting retrogressed, you never can tell ) ?? Fingers crossed.

Thanks. But seems one will pay for work authorisation (I-765) separately. This was technically free before the new fee schedule.
A friend's adjustment of status filing was return due to lack of appropriate fee, that was why I was asking to figure out what was wrong.

Backlog report after interview scheduling was completed for August. It seems an equilibrium has been achieved between total numbers DQed and (scheduled + waiting).

Please, does anyone know what that could mean?

Until monthly allocation doubles to about 100k (not going to happen anytime soon due to short staffed consulates and possibly overshooting yearly number limited allocation), i wouldn't take this seriously. it will keep fluctuating (down for a month then up for the next 1-3 months, and on and on) due to increased USCIS efficiency for adjudicating cases.

Solution: Not sure the sugestion below will happen, Immigration (legal and illegal) is a huge rack ( ) the political class latch on for survival,
a. increase staffing quota ( this is where military intelligence team or retired case officers who are interested can be re-employed on a temporary basis till the backlog gets resolved this may take about 2-3 years) at this consulates

b. Executive order by the president to address the yearly allocation for immigrant or Bilateral bill increasing yearly quota.

Even, if (b) happens without addressing (a), it will only technically worsen the case after USCIS approval. Increasing the quota will not ordinarily benefit that rate of processing at embassies.

II. In case anyone has update about Police clearance certificate requirement (old vs new) kindly inform the house. I had the "old"one done in february '23. I am trying to be reasonably proactive.

Recently got my EB2 NIW and EB1A application approved. I applied myself without using any lawyer.

In other news :
** not expecting IL for EB1 candidates ( quota for FY 2024 has been fully used ) till new fiscal year begins next month. While some DQ june and july 2023 in montreal got IL last wednesday. .

All we have got is hope. We will wait yet.
