Don't.let it get to your head.
No, she can't.
In fact, the letter the house wrote,makes it impossible for her to be deported.
All her lawyer needs to claim is that she is a political target of the Nigerian government and
her rights will be violated if deported and no Canadian court will deport her.

They should have left the issue for the police to handle.

You guys just write rubbish.

In theory, she can have her citizenship revoked.

Everything depends on how it is interpreted.

Murder, DUI maybe but certainly not for hate speech.

Not true. I have a friend in Canada who has been convicted of DUI twice and he was never deported. Your citizenship cannot be revoked even if you committed murder. From the official website, your citizenship can only be revoked if:

Subsection 10(1) of the Citizenship Act provides the Minister with the authority to revoke a person’s Canadian citizenship or a person’s renunciation of citizenship if it was obtained, retained, renounced or resumed by one of the following:

* false representation
* fraud
* knowingly concealing material circumstances

Now reread what you wrote, does it make any sense to you?

How does theory trumps practicality?
Do you have any case where a foreign citizen was deported from
Canada at the insistence of a non-western country after the suspect's attorney
argued the political and human rights angle?

In theory, the first line in your response could be interpreted to be defamatory
according to Canadian law!

Oga, yes your citizenship may be revoked, but it has to be gotten through fraudulent means. Even if you killed someone, you can never be deported. See the following:

Subsection 10(1) of the Citizenship Act provides the Minister with the authority to revoke a person’s Canadian citizenship or a person’s renunciation of citizenship if it was obtained, retained, renounced or resumed by one of the following:

Murder, DUI maybe but certainly not for hate speech.

Murder and DUI can't get her deported, she will serve her terms in Canada and remain there if she's a citizen.

If her utterances and actions are against Canada as a nation, she can be ripped of her citizenship only if she naturalized to be a citizen and not a citizen by birth.

I really don't see any path that Nigerian govt can take to get her deported. Simon Ekpa that is more of a loose cannon than this lady, they haven't been able to touch him but they suddenly feel they can get a sovereign country to deport it's citizen?

But as for yoruba, they have said worse to Igbos and i don't give a Bleep about their feelings.

Of course she messed up, but Ibos are naturally not like that. But you see yorubas, no one should ever fight their fight in Nigeria again.
