See Evil charging Saint grin. I love the way the masses are being treated. Who tribalism epp. The politicians know how to use the bait of tribalism to catch the masses during every election period. It's a sure bait. You all will learn by force. Tinubu doesn't care if you exist or not

David Hundeyin likes feeding his minions with what they want to hear. I can see 9 counts, which includes transmission of classified memos/documents. If he's innocent, why did he try to flush his phone down the toilet as indicated in count 9?
He's going to spend a lot of time in jail.

Which kind thing be this? Charge for sponsoring protest and money laundering because he accepted money for the work done. Nigeria have gone low in the hands of desperate politicians.

I warned them, but instead they were doing guys. Imagine 28days in police detection and case just started. How can he leave that arena and remain the same again? Children of those who pushed you into trouble are enjoying themselves now calling daddy, daddy, but you 28days denied of freedom.

By the time he gets freedom from this case, I am sure he would have learnt staying in your house during protest and protest from online to avoid had I known because we have never seen impact of protest since independence. Dialog has no expiring date, it is better to continue using it till one is heard than denying yourself of precious freedom or shorten your life span because of protest that wouldn't yield anything as before

Seriously are you not ashamed of yourself?

In a saner clime, he will go home with billions of naira for unlawful detention, as all the charges preferred against him are all bailable cases. Well, we are almost tilting to be a banana Republic, anything goes in my country, Nigeria.
Why should a person be detained for 28 days without charging him to court and your kind is rejoicing over it in a country with constitution.
Remember when you point one finger at someone, the remaining 4 fingers are pointing at you back. A day of retribution is coming.

Now, he has the right to defend himself in court. Looking at the case against him, he would be lucky to get away with ten years in jail. It may be worse. That guy will be locked up for a very long time.

It was lawful but the method she used was very wrong. She took law into her own her own hand. The boy was arrested and kept in Aso rock instead of police station in Bauchi.

That one is not even the most ludicrous of them all. Check out Charge #3 where he is accused under the Official Secrets Act of 1962. It is not inferred that he illegally obtained the information meaning he is covered under FOIA, and FOIA does not bar anyone who receives information on the government from retransmitting the same information to other members of the public. So, why in the world would the government think it would make sense to charge him for doing exactly that? undecided

The initial arrest was illegal to begin with since that was instead a civil case. No law in Nigeria gives anyone authority to illegally detain/arrest any person for any reason. undecided

That boy almost singlehandedly pulled him down of becoming Nigeria president.

So anything investigative journalism must be brutally attacked.

Infact in this regime, investigative journalism is more dangerous that Boko Haram and Killer bandits in the north.

Your Hyundai guy is irrelevant please. You Igbos hype rubbish too much.

It clearly states "classified".

Classified documents are not covered by the FOIA, and not only did he obtain classified documents, he reproduced and distributed it.

He's going to jail.

That would be part of the whistleblowing aspect of things that are covered under the FOIA and ICPC. Whistleblowers are not criminals in even your Nigeria. undecided

To those with dunce brain, protest is not a crime even if it is violent. You may need to ask your village headmaster about what happened to those that promoted protest in the UK. For your information, some of them are still in jail. Please borrow yourself a functioning brain

This has nothing to do with that. FOIA is not absolute in any part of the world. You can't access all information, else enemies of the state will have an advantage.

You can't access all information using FOIA, yes, however, in the case that you do gain access to information and then release it as a whistleblower, whistleblowing and stop-gap protection kick in. Both the FOIA and Corrupt Practices Acts of the ICPC provide coverage in those cases. undecided
