northbird: You got the drift. With Indrive, I intend to pick trips wth atleast additional 1k to 1k5. 7k most be added to whatever net I project daily, till other factors determine price. |

northbird: Hhhmmm! That means 22k half tank fuel would fetch you about 110k. Deduct 25% and fuel, you have about 60k. Omo bolt fit try but with indrive, I don't think it's possible. I use 14k a day and make btw 40 to 45k on indrive. Now it will be 20/21k a day. I don't know how much this can make now, but I'll try bolt tomorrow and see |

All 2024 models of cars are running on Petrol or electric How come they are boycotting the safe CNG for Petrol? Abi Toyota and Ford no sabi anything? It is only Asain and third world countries that are on this CNG stuff. Hopefully, this conversion is not about to lead people like a lamb led to be slaughtered 4 Likes |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by donbrowser(m): 4:37pm On Sep 05 |
izzou: We = Nigerians 1. Does it make sense that Nigerians abandon their petrol cars to start buying electric cars? 2. Do we have money to buy electric cars? 3. Can Nigerians convert to CNG? Yes 4. Do we have enough gas? Yes! The only but is that the conversion kit is too expensive. I expect that the FG should subsidize it for over 1 or 2 years so people can make the necessary switch. That's if there's no subsidy on CNG though. |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 4:40pm On Sep 05 |
donbrowser: You said CNG is safer than petrol. Gas prices have been rising globally. So how come Toyota is producing 2024 Land Cruiser on petrol engines? The same for Benz and others Is it that they are not aware CNG is cheaper and safer? This has nothing to do with Nigerians yet 5 Likes |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by donbrowser(m): 4:48pm On Sep 05 |
izzou: Yes CNG is safer than petrol. You already have the stats steering at you. Only Africa and Asia are adopting CNG. Petrol is globally available unlike CNG. You should ask why they are not creating the electric version of these cars instead of petrol versions. You can say it has nothing to do with Nigerians yet but you have to applaud the FG for attempting to drift into something safer and more affordable for Nigerians who cannot afford electric cars. Disclaimer: If there's actually no subsidy on CNG. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwP1wLuVqvU?si=0XnJPU8Yb3ghPNqB If after watching this video you still want to argue that CNG is not safer. Continue using petrol, it's your choice bro. |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by izzou(m): 4:55pm On Sep 05 |
donbrowser: Why do you have to make everything about FG? I am not defending the use of petrol. I am simply asking why car makers are not making cars using CNG, if it is safer and cheaper? Which one is "continue using petrol"? Na fight? Abeg no mention me, if na quarrel e go turn to. 3 Likes |

donbrowser: You are missing the point. He's saying, if renowned car makers ( with R& d arms who have budgets running in millions of dollars)side step cng and still churn out petrol fueled vehicles in 2024. Why should that be? Don't forget Toyota n co also produce for African firms and corporations. Na individuals dey buy tokunbo. Most solid firms buy brand new cars for their executives. 1 Like |

northbird: I get what you're saying na. Why should they produce when there's no adoption of CNG yet, we don't even have enough filling stations yet, if 80% of African car owners drop petrol today for CNG, what do you think will happen? When last did you see anybody produce or sell cooking stove that uses kerosene? Cc Izzou And when did I become a trouble maker? Once cng comes to ph, i am converting my car asap. I think a lot of people don't know cng is hybrid system, and you can easily switch to petrol when the cng is exhausted. If any client load can't fit in the trunk or back seat, the person should request another ride simple. And if eventually i want to sell the car, i will uninstall the kit. 1 Like |

ksmart027: My own is,if CNG installation becomes relatively affordable I will do it on my car If I get to put and riders load can't fit I will cancel and look for another rider After all I can afford to drive to as many pu as I want since the cost of CNG is very low thereby reducing my running cost On the other angle which one is nnpcl is still subsidising pms Why don't they remove the subsidy and close the chapter once and for all make all man know the price is now fixed because like this that 800+ pms is selling for now will turn to 2000 tomorrow and we will still be hearing it's because they are still paying subsidy 😡 |

Another update Most apartments on the island also offer drivers incentive when you bring a rider to lodge The incentive depends on your bargain with the manager. For example ziroc apartment and villa thirty three. Note: you need to register for free at these apartment as a driver and call the manager to inform him of your coming and bargain your price 1 Like |

ksmart027: I dey your back Once there's even one CNG station available, I'm converting my car. I hear the transportation of CNG is very difficult and extremely capital intensive. That's why investment in CNG stations seem to be dragging. Infact, they said if you don't have existing CNG gas pipelines running through your state, forget about ever having CNG stations in the state. |

dav1002: Forex determines the price of crude oil. There’s no how exchange rate will be 1628 naira to a dollar and we will be buying fuel at 885. Free market means you sell at your own price without any form of regulation. Fuel should be at least 1350 naira. That will be around 1500/1600 in other state. I guess everywhere go scatter, so make them they commot shock for una body small small till uncle Dango tell us wetin he go sell give NNPCL nah when we go truly know where we deh. 40k fuel below… it is well

pope191: Exactly why I don't like the way Tinubu was quick to touch the forex. I expect that he will remove subsidy from petrol and subsidize forex till Dangote and other refineries start working. By then, forex demands will drop drastically and he would be able to remove forex subsidy too but Bàbá no send anybody oo. |

Itsrm: I don't think this is true sha. CNG is transported using gas tankers to their destinations, just like PMS or AGO. If stations are in place, it shouldn't be a problem. PH should be having CNG stations sef. Greenville that is the major producer, has a plant on East/West road. If in Lagos here, i can see their trucks, why can't it be in PH? |
