Please has any one been able to make visa payment on the new payment point?
I have tried my Gtbank dollar card and naira card.

It hasn't been successful.

Kindly help me and put me through.

Cheers

I tried to pay for my mom using my debit and credit card and it didn't work. When I contacted support, they advised that I use alternative means. I had to send someone to pay at firstbank. You may try that. You need to generate a payment slip on the website, take it to the bank for payment. Then wait 24 hrs for them to update the system before you can schedule appointment.

There's even an easier way: Pay with transfer.

Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by annabee(f): 12:34am On Sep 06
No it didn't change. It still had that when I booked the appointment. You need to message support and let them know what's going on.

When you choose the pay in bank option, you're prompted to generate a bank slip. You then take the slip to first bank for payment. I couldn't do the transfer option because it was not working from my end.

I was able to make pay the visa through the payment transfer option.

So waiting for confirmation

Good morning people,

I booked an appointment (family of 3) scheduled for Sept 11(IW) on the old website (ustraveldocs.com) and I have printed out appointment confirmation as instructed on the old platform. Up till now, I have not gotten a link to the new platform. Reading from here, I got to know that the new drop off address is 14 Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island. What do I do about this? Should I go ahead on the 11th September to the drop address to drop my documents? @OyotunjiUSA any assistance from you

I paid for visa fee last year and I have been scheduled for appointment on August 2025. Never knew their is already instruction that old applicants will be contacted and refrain from creating new profile on the new website, I have went ahead and created new profile last week. As it is now, I am confused and a bit scared. I have not been contacted regarding instruction on how to go about my old application as stated on the new website that old applicants will be contacted on how to go about migration to the new website and I am also seeing account deletion option on this new website, should I go ahead and delete the new profile I just created on the website? Or is my previous MRV payment and appointment been forfeited and I should just be prepared to pay another MRV fee and book another appointment? I am just confused
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Pearlmadeit: 7:55am On Sep 06
Had my interview in Abuja yesterday - 5th Sept.
First time applicant...

There were quite a few screening points and give me your passport please (I think 3 or 4) that I didn't even realise that the interview started. Thought she was just going to look at the passport and give me back to go to another queue.
I was already at 3rd question before I realized this is the interview.

VO: Can I have your passport please?
My Response: ofcourse, here you go.

VO:
Have you ever travelled out of Nigeria?
My Response: yes. I just returned from Togo last week. I have also been to Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania

VO: I see here that you studied in the UK?
My Response: Yes (I forgot to mention that one... lol! It was at this point I realized this is the interview) (the nerve kicked in)

VO: What do you do
My Response: I work with xyz company

VO: Yes, but as what?
My Response: I work as xxxx ( I thought I messed up for not answering the question asked directly)

VO: what is the purpose of your visit to the United States
My Response: I'm traveling to the US for holidays

VO: where will you be visiting in the US
My Response: I will be arriving in Los Angeles and joining my brother in Utah

VO: do you have a sibling in the US
My Response: Yes, my brother is in Utah

VO: is he a permanent residence in the US?
My Response: No, he is a student.

Typing some more.....

VO: pulls out white paper. Ok, I am approving your visa, you can pick up your passport........
My Response: thank you.

She didn't ask for any proof.

As I was stepping out all the 5 people that followed me had pink paper.

Not to mock people but to show my gratitude first to God and to all the responses and experiences shared in this group.
Less I forget, my passport has a Canada visit visa affix.

My DS 160 had arrival in Philadelphia but I couldn't update it before the website change. I took both old DS160 forms with me... old one had Pennsylvania while new one has Utah as address in the US...
No question was raised about that.

Hi,

There's something I read on the new site that may apply to you.

Apparently, the OIS has both free and paid options. To take advantage of the free, you need to book an appointment ahead and not just show up. Two people mentioned here that they had to pay N48k at OIS. One of them was dropping off for interview waiver whereas the other person was picking up their passport. By getting an appointment on the OIS site ahead, you should be able to avoid this charge.

I suggest you read the message below and take action.

All the best!

"If you qualified for the Interview Waiver procedure, you may submit your application documents as following:

- drop-off the documents free of charge and by appointment; or
- drop-off the documents with the paid service at the OIS offices in Abuja and Lagos listed below. (Please note that application documents are not being sent between consular cities. You must submit your documents in the consular city where you intend to apply for the visa.)

Hello, I followed this step because I also have IW appointment booked for 11th September. However I am stuck on the page on that screenshot, I chose Visa services but Nigeria is not listed as part of the countries to choose from. Then I chose US visa document delivery and it only for people who are awaiting their documents to be delivered to them.

Any ideas on next steps please?

Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Mongodbjs: 1:16pm On Sep 06
Could my IW delay be connected to the fact that my last Dropbox visa approval was not used at all. But in the period I did a lot of travels in Europe Schengen , UK and canada , I just didn’t feel so interested in visiting the US during the visa validity period . In fact last December I was in Ottawa not so far from New York but somehow I just didn’t have a reason to visit the US . I’ve visited the US multiple times in the past. Could it be that the delay in IW is related to the fact that I didn’t use the last visa ? I’m just confused . I met someone at OIS today who submitted same day as me but his own is issued

Hi!

I'm glad you could figure it out.

If possible, I suggest you get a September 11 appointment on OIS since that's the date you had from the former website.

Or at least contact customer care to be sure it doesn't matter so that you don't get turned back due to technicalities.

I'm not an official. Just sharing my thoughts.

Putting this here in case it's helpful for anyone else, I finally got my passport today.

Here is the summary of how I got the passport:
- My interview was at Abuja with pickup at DHL Muri Okunola Lagos.
- My visa got issued on the 28th of August but I didn't get any email to pickup my passport.
- Following the instruction here, I decided to go to OIS Lagos to pickup on Wednesday 4th September. However OIS said my passport wasn't there.
- I asked a friend to go check OIS Abuja for me and apparently it was there.

Seems DHL is not sending passports from Abuja to Lagos.

Good luck to everyone.

Hi!

It looks like for card payment, you can only pay in USD. The info below is copied from the new site. You can read up by checking under the "non-immigrant visas tab" under "visa fees and payment"

Visa Fee Payment Options
Before paying the visa fee, you need to sign up on this website and start the scheduling process. Once you have selected the visa type and provided the personal details, you will be able to choose between the following payment options:

- Cash payment or electronic funds transfer in local currency at First Bank of Nigeria; or
- Card payment in USD.

- Bank Deposit option (Cash or Electronic Transfer (EFT)): When accessing this payment option, you must generate and download a payment deposit slip by clicking on the ''Generate'' button accessible on the screen. Follow the instructions on the deposit slip to make a cash payment at the bank or EFT payment through online banking. These payments are to be made in local currency only. There are two pieces of information on the deposit slip that are extremely important for a successful payment:

*Transaction Reference Number – You must indicate it accurately when making the payment. This number will allow the appointment system to validate your visa fee payment and allow you to proceed further with the visa application process.
*Expiration Date – You have three (3) days to pay the visa application fee from the date you generate the deposit slip. Please check the expiration date on the deposit slip and ensure you pay the fee before the mentioned expiration date. If the slip expires, please log back into your profile and generate a new one by following the same steps. After making a payment via Cash or EFT, please allow one business day for the bank to process the transaction before continuing to the appointment calendar to book an appointment.

- Card Payment option: When accessing this payment option, you will be prompted to introduce your card details to complete the transaction. This payment is to be made in USD only. There is no wait time for the transaction to be processed. Upon completing a successful transaction, you will be able to proceed immediately to the appointment calendar to book an appointment.

need some advice, please. When I first applied, the earliest available appointment was in 2026, so I selected that date, planning to request an emergency appointment closer to the time I needed to travel to the U.S. However, the website has since changed, and even though I've already paid, there's no record of my previous application, nor have I received any email instructions to register on the new platform. I need to be in the U.S. by November and am unsure whether I should reapply and pay the significant fee again. Could you please advise? Also is there a chance to expedite your application if need be
