Good morning,
Please kindly send me the customer care number you used. I am in a similar situation, my application for IW is in few weeks and I have not received any mail from them regarding the new portal. I want to book an appointment on the OIS website for drop off. Also did you create a new account with the ATVIS or just on the OIS website?

customised87:

Yes I contacted customer care and they told me to book the appointment. They also sent me a new appointment confirmation that reflects the new date and time.
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Ikebabay: 7:45am On Sep 07
Hi!

I'll suggest 2 things:
Suggestion 1- you wait for the link to access the new site. Your data history is with them. It just seems to be taking a bit of time for them to migrate everyone. They're probably treating cases in batches and doing the closest interview dates first. I got this quoted message from the new site earlier this week

"Please be advised that the data migration for appointments scheduled in the previous system for November 2024 and beyond is still in progress and may take at least another week to complete. We kindly request that you refrain from creating new profiles and instead wait for the activation link, as creating a new profile will not facilitate the transfer of your data from the previous system. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time."

Suggestion 2- contact their customer care. There's now a chat button on the site and also a call button. You can use this to explain your case i.e you created an appointment for 2026 and have an emergency that requires you to be in the US for November. Let them advise on the best way to proceed.

All the best!

Prettymundne:

need some advice, please. When I first applied, the earliest available appointment was in 2026, so I selected that date, planning to request an emergency appointment closer to the time I needed to travel to the U.S. However, the website has since changed, and even though I've already paid, there's no record of my previous application, nor have I received any email instructions to register on the new platform. I need to be in the U.S. by November and am unsure whether I should reapply and pay the significant fee again. Could you please advise? Also is there a chance to expedite your application if need be
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Ikebabay: 7:48am On Sep 07
Hi.

I have no idea really. One can only speculate. Visa decisions are made by consular officers.

I really hope though, that your passport is released ahead of your upcoming trip.

All the best!

Mongodbjs:
Could my IW delay be connected to the fact that my last Dropbox visa approval was not used at all. But in the period I did a lot of travels in Europe Schengen , UK and canada , I just didn’t feel so interested in visiting the US during the visa validity period . In fact last December I was in Ottawa not so far from New York but somehow I just didn’t have a reason to visit the US . I’ve visited the US multiple times in the past. Could it be that the delay in IW is related to the fact that I didn’t use the last visa ? I’m just confused . I met someone at OIS today who submitted same day as me but his own is issued
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Ikebabay: 7:51am On Sep 07
Hi!

Were you able to make some progress? I just thought to check in since you mentioned you couldn't track your application.

All the best!

thediva:
Thank you so much for this. I dropped my passport on the 10th of July, and have got no email, the ceac website keeps telling me it has no info. I tried the new website, opened a ticket, got an auto response to wait for 48hours same as others. I tried to book a pickup appointment last week, it did not work. After seeing your post now, I tried again and got an appointment to pick up for $0. Pickup location is Idowu Taylor. I still do not know for sure that it is there, but I will go. Thank you. Your post encouraged me to try it again.

Good morning Nairalanders.
Please i generated an invoice on the new site and i have paid. But if I log in on the new site its still showing me generate invoice. Please after payment over the counter, how do I move to the next step.

Thanks all.
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Eddykurrent(m): 10:12am On Sep 07
I will wait till 14th September. If I don't get a pickup mail or I can't find the Passport at DHL Benin City, my chosen location, I will travel to Abuja to check DHL, where I submitted in Abuja, and then OIS Centre to look for the Passport.

Ikebabay:
I am in your shoes- i.e visa issued but no pickup mail. I have been waiting for the pickup mail. The good thing is that the CEAC tracker mentions that passports are expected to be returned in 10 working days so that gives some level of indication of how long we need to wait.

Message quoted below is part of the pop up window on the CEAC tracker
"The consular section has completed processing your application and your visa has been issued. If you do not receive your passport and visa within 10 working days, please contact the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application"

Has anyone been able to register for IW appointment on this new website? I am currently in the pending pre-approval request phase and I haven't encountered anywhere with the IW questionnaire to determine if you qualify. Is it after the pending pre-approval request phase?

Good afternoon house,
My father’s drop box is on Monday September 9 with the old appointment and to be submitted at DHL Surulere, I have been following this tread since yesterday, no email was sent to us , obviously he is not going there my sister will be dropping it for him due to age and slight loss of sight, so should we just go to the Idowu Taylor center on Monday . I have checked email severally no email from the AVIT. Please house advice because we planned to storm the place like that . I don’t know how long it will take them to do migration and I expected them to say if you have existing appointment keep the date and just come in and submit on that day .

Please quick response

Hi all, I have an interview coming up on Monday in the UK, my intended date of arrival when i first filled in the DS 160 form was June 2024 but could not land an interview around that time, do i amend my intended date of arrival in the US to reflect the new date i have chosen in December? if yes will it reflect by monday? or do i just leave it like that or it is quite late to make any changes? Thanks

1. Fill another DS-160 to match with the update. If there is room for profile update go ahead and update it in your profile before printing another appointment letter (tomorrow). Otherwise, attend your interview with both old and new DS-160s if you cannot do the update now.

Your question is being asked in the eleventh hour.

1. It seems you will be opting for paid service drop-off since the confirmation email is not forthcoming from the embassy.

Visit this (new authorised company) website to register:

www.oisservices.com/services

2. On that page, locate "US VISA APPLICATION DOCUMENTS PICK UP/DROP OFF" section, scroll down to the page and click on "Click Here" button. They have staffs you can chat or talk to but i think it's a paid service without the embassy email.

I pray it works because I can’t start changing ticket we got our tickets already. I learned about the 48k payment when I glanced through pages of this section . If they will accept it let them just take it in .

Only today I discovered the DS-160 will be 6months in September 12 which is okay by me because is still within 6months window except if anyone feels otherwise.

Doing everything last minutes is not easy , I got kids taking care of abroad and weekends is only time I have😔😔😔😔 I missed my mom who helps paying child care for me😭

Good afternoon , please I still need your help on where to pay for American visa fee by now.last month that I went to GTBank to pay, they didn't attend to me.please I need your insight on a way to go about it.thank you

quote author=Ikebabay post=131525350]The US is changing their visa services provider this August and I believe that is why you could not pay in the bank.

I copied the following info from the article they shared on their page. If your travel is not urgent, I'll suggest you wait till August 26 when the new visa appointment website goes live. It looks like you may be able to pay on the new site direct.

"August 8, 2024 – Last day to pay visa fees in cash at the bank.

August 15, 2024 – Last day to access your account on ustraveldocs.com to pay the visa application fee online, schedule appointments, and contact customer service.

August 21, 2024 – Last day to drop off your documents at Premium Delivery locations.

August 23, 2024 – Last day to drop off your documents at regular courier locations for delivery to the Embassy or Consulate.

August 26, 2024– New visa appointment website goes live. Fee payments, appointment scheduling, and customer service are available. New document drop-off and pickup locations are available."

That said, if you have the GTB app, you might still be able pay online today. Someone can also pay on your behalf using the GTB app.

For fees, the current B1/B2 fee is N305250. The fee in USD remains 185USD but the amount in naira changes as the exchange rate fluctuates.

Hi!

To apply for a US visa now, you need to first create a profile online using the new website https://www.usvisaappt.com/visa/country?country=NG

After you register you can then navigate to the payment page. Payment can be done online by card (USD payment only) or by transfer. You can also pay physically at the bank.

After making payment at the bank, it usually updates automatically within 24 hours. Then you can schedule an appointment.
You can chat with support if yours didn't work. The new site is a mess.
