Oando had a negative SHF of N214b in unaudited 2023 from a priot year negative SHF of N183b. Its rate of depletion of shareholder funds decelerated in 2023. The depletion of shareholder funds started in 2019 with a huge acceleration.

Looking at SEPLAT. Its shareholder funds increased in 2023 by N800b

Oando should be able to get a positive SHF in 2024 mid year assuming its unaudited 2023 is not restated. This is premised on SEPLAT's SHF growing by another N1000b in the first six months of 2024. Turning a negative N214b shareholder's fund to positive right now should not be a beggie for OANDO. Otherwise it has very very very serious issues.
Too ambitious

Did you know
Oando supposed to raise # Three trillion to fund their projected 2024 budget,
# One trillion as bonds by June 2024 but maybe the devaluation of the # made them to pause. They even engage consultant for their rating score. *Also use private offer from major shareholders for # Two trillion not sure if they include right/public* and *Shares for payment to vendors*

Oga na person way no sabi Bible you go tell all this. You are just after 10 %.You did not tell me whr you built the fire you will put your own children when they commit.
We all died through christ and Rose with him as believers. The bigger problem of nigeria is people like you in the body of christ who are quick to condemn. You put fear and lies in the mind of the people to collect money.
I personally have grown pass that in my spiritual journey. You people always pick a verse or few verses in the bible and misrepresent them out of context.Oga thr is no hell fire.It is the English bible that introduced that.It is hell which means death

I'm done ...

I think the ENI deal might have affected their earlier plans, and they probably decided to seal it to boost their value/ratings before going out to raise more capital.

So how has Oando been able to fund their 2024 operations so far? From the Afrexim Bank loan alone or additional loans to be disclosed in the HY2024 results?

On a serious note, for people in the diaspora, wouldn't it be better to invest in these 17-18% bonds that last for years? You could simply repatriate $40,000 to $50,000, put it in one of those bonds, and use the returns to handle all those requests (wahala...) from your Nigerian family and relatives back home.

You could give out 1 million naira at random to any lucky family or friend every month, and they would love you for it without any further expenses on your part. Your initial $50,000 investment would still be there, though it might fall in value over time. But what do you care? It's just $50,000, right? And you can keep giving for years. shocked

Lmfao, forget what you see on the internet, how many diasporians have $50k sitting somewhere to repatriate to Nigeria? Sending $50k here means you must have earned $80k, then you account for taxes and other deductions.

Life na jeje whether in Nigeria or abroad

If they want to continue 'importation' they'll have to source for their ForEx themselves.
In addition, there is no way the populace will buy from them at a more expensive rate per litre.

Sadly this shows that the 'subsidy collectors' are the cabal responsible for our failing naira

They are an association, so hard to dislodge them. They also control about 87% of filling stations in the country.

₦10m/month is average income, it becomes a different story after taxes, insurance, government pension and retirement. You'd be lucky if you're left with ₦6.5m. Then rent go collect around ₦2m, electricity, water, gas and gas for motor will take another ₦1m. Food is easily another ₦1.5m, daycare is another ₦2m or more.

Here are additional expenses that I didn't mention, phone, internet, clothes, occasional eating out, social activities etc. This is why a lot of people supplement their income with things like uber & lyft.

This scenario is like the majority, there are people who are doing extremely well with crazy high incomes, but those are usually outliers. But on the internet, we all act like the outliers, everybody is balling hard on the internet

You may be right, after all.
I was only being very conservative and cautious in my expectations of Oando's performance in 2024.

I read a report on the 2023 results stating that its oil exploration and production activity constituted only 4% of total revenue, but contributed 53% of operating profit and 41% of pre-tax profit, indicating very high margins.
If this trend is sustained or improved on, then the ENI assets (which fall under production) could make very huge impact for Oando, starting from Q3 2024

If SHF remains negative in 2024 it means wahala. Price may start going down or never shoot above 100

Guy you can't be right with this figures
The money is finished now.So whr is the savings going to happen. Then why do they make many who are here believe you can comfortably save minimum of 5M every month in average earnings. I hear a lot of people saying they are going to Canada to be truck driver/factory work and other regular jobs

You see that bolded if you have the licence, you indeed can save in "Xm" naira monthly if you are intentional about it. The X amount will be dependent on your earning's dependants though grin

Those figures are very conservative, lots of people are in deficit at the end of the month but you’ll never hear about that on the internet.

A truck driver can easily pull in ₦15-₦20m monthly but a lot has to be sacrificed. If you’re single, then that’s even better, you can skip on rent and sleep at truck stops or $30/night motels which means you’re not paying ₦2M+ in rent every month. You could save half of your salary easily but how many people want to live like this?

You’ll have money, but you won’t have time for family or for anything else. I know money is all that matters to most of us in this part of the world, but for a few that’s too much of a sacrifice.

But all in all, I think abroad is better when you factor in everything. In abroad if you mind your business there is almost zero chance one yeye soldier go come slap you but in Naija, you never know 😂😂😂. For some countries, you fit get small armory for your house ready for any bastard wey wan come try rubbish with you and your family, here in NAIJA that is reserved for only the elites.

If you work in healthcare as a nurse, doctor, or related professional and you couldn't save $80,000 in 3 to 4 years, you should recognize that you've either chosen to live extravagantly or you're residing in a very expensive city.

A registered nurse can save $20k a year easy. Why do you think they are leaving Nigeria by the hundreds? I am stating a fact here; take your time and do your research. Then there are those who go abroad without a plan, but I'm not referring to those diasporans. Lol shocked
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 6:22am On Sep 14
Building a 100 million naira portfolio in few years (3 to 5 years) is very achievable for a diasporan if they have the proper knowledge or follow FA guys and some TA guys on this thread.

An average Nija worker can top up 2 to 10 million naira to stocks annually, but a diasporan can invest much more due to favorable exchange rates.

Pls still help on the question on how to post images, links and delete on this thread. I only sabi quote. And how to retrieve my old post

--->Post Images:
when you click the usual reply or quote button to comment, you would see this choose file option button.

There are 4 in number meaning, one can only post a maximum of 4 images on a single post..

If you intend to post more than one image, you will have to complete each process at a time.

Each process will take you to the documents or gallery of your phone.

The rest of the process to select your desired image are internal processes which again depends on ur phone and storage location.

Once successfully uploaded, the name of the file is visible beside the choose file option button which you previously clicked.

Once you are done with the upload and your desired comment, you can then click submit.
Attached is the choose file button (Circled in Red) below the submit button.
