What will be the impact of Dangote Refinery petrol supply to Nigerians on the NGX.

Will this event boost investors confidence and drive a more robust activities on the NGX. Will this improve liquidity in the NGX?

Will Dangote Sugar, Dangote Cement, NASCON benefits from a Dangote Refinery?

OandO. -1.82%
ETERNA. -3.58%

sad
Now that it is now in the open that NNPC will be the sole distributor for Dangote Refinery. What will be the faith of those currently locked-in on ETERNA?

I doubt if anything changes. NNPCL will still supply to them and all other marketers. With dangrefinery they are sure of more regular supply ie of NNPCL no mess things up

Oando had a negative SHF of N214b in unaudited 2023 from a priot year negative SHF of N183b. Its rate of depletion of shareholder funds decelerated in 2023. The depletion of shareholder funds started in 2019 with a huge acceleration.

Looking at SEPLAT. Its shareholder funds increased in 2023 by N800b

Oando should be able to get a positive SHF in 2024 mid year assuming its unaudited 2023 is not restated. This is premised on SEPLAT's SHF growing by another N1000b in the first six months of 2024. Turning a negative N214b shareholder's fund to positive right now should not be a beggie for OANDO. Otherwise it has very very very serious issues.

You don dey fear ni. A positive shareholders fund is not possible in the next 2 yeas organically except through injection of more capital that will be a minimum of N1 Trillion or the current financiers convert their loans to equity.

Just wondering why Q2 financial report is not yet out

Some people were just lucky to have enjoyed a rally in Eterna based on a rumor.

By tomorrow, Sunday15.09.2024, NNPCL will start lifting pms from Dangote Refinery and sell to to marketers at N765. For now, Dangote Refinery will supply 25m liters daily while NNPCL will import the remaining 15 million liters.

By end of October, Dangote supply will rise to 35m liters while NNPCL importation reduces to 5m liters until importation is faced out completely and pms supply is 100% locally produced from Dangote and other local refineries.

Building a 100 million naira portfolio in few years (3 to 5 years) is very achievable for a diasporan if they have the proper knowledge or follow FA guys and some TA guys on this thread.

An average Nija worker can top up 2 to 10 million naira to stocks annually, but a diasporan can invest much more due to favorable exchange rates.

Bros you’re shifting goalpost na. What you said was send $50k to Nigeria and have it invested in bonds and who cares even if your SMALL $50k losses value. Which nurse get small $50k to throw around? Building a portfolio over a few years and sending $50k at once are not the same thing.

Yes, a doctor may have $50k to invest here but it is not small to them by any means. Again, don’t be deceived by the internet. I do not know a doctor, but I know at least 3 nurses and I can tell you with confidence that none of them has small $50k to send this Nigeria lol.

OANDO..
What is the source of this , and which officer of Oando confirned the story? This kind of report can create another needless controversy , so we should wait until there is official announcement by the company.
The MD of
Oando Energy Resources stated clearly in the Arise TV interview that they have no interest or plan to play in the downstream and refinery business.

If SHF remains negative in 2024 it means wahala. Price may start going down or never shoot above 100
It also depends on the timing of the 2024 results. They may delay and release it together with the Q1/Q2 2025 results when the SHF would be showing positive numbers

I don't like arguing further; I've been very clear in what I said. The people who got help through my small post have already done so. If you work abroad with a plan for 3 to 5 years, you should have much more than $50k saved up (if you want me to explain why and how, just ask politely).

I understand how most guys get pressure from people back home - for burials, health issues, small business capital, school fees. Now, instead of sending money every now and then, you can simply take that $50k (must not be $50k, before you start again, please read like an intelligent person that you are) and invest it in Nigeria at 17 to 18% interest(Now, the chance is going as rates are coming down) . This way, you'll have no more worries; the proceeds can take care of all those expenses.

You can even use the returns to build up small investments without adding extra money, while you continue saving. I can tell you what nurses earn after tax, not from internet sources, but from the workers themselves. Again, if you're interested, just ask politely. shocked

It appears someone just extracted a section of a 2009 Oando news release and updated it to sound current. The link of the report is:

Q2 2025 results can only be released after FY2024 audited accounts had been released, and that is schedule to be out on or before Sept 30.
