Hello,

I did not evaludte my degree in wes or any other evaluation body. My school of choice did not make that a requirement (I emailed them to confirm this).

I am going for wildlife conservation.

Taal17:

Have you evaluated your degree certificate yet?
What course?

You can also search on YouTube for other students that have gotten GA,RA and TA , they share their journey and tips

@OyoTunjiUSA and others.

I just want to thank you all for your support and guidance in this U.S travel process and also tell you all that i finally got the long awaited email from Usvisaappt.com
to gain back access to my profile. But i need your help on something else, i didn't see where i can edit/update my profile on the new website so as to add a new/updated DS-160 to my profile.

And one more thing, If during the process of filing my Ds-160 form,i was able to save some parts which i have filled correctly and didn't save the other parts to continue filing the next day, Do i need to resave those part i already saved previously before i do the final submission or am i expected to continue saving the parts i didnt save the previous day before the final submission. please your response is needed as my appointment is on 1st October. Thank you all🙏

Hey 🤠

1. The new website does not have "Profile Update " yet, so there is no option to update your DS-160 for now. Fill another DS-160 and attend your interview with both old and new DS-160s on the day of your visa appointment.

2. If you have not submitted your previous DS-160 finally and you still have access to open it, you can update it to your new status and submit appropriately. If you start from the first page, you can start saving the pages as you want , otherwise, fill another DS-160 entirely. DS-160 can be filled as many times as you want.

Best Wishes 🙏

Seem we are the earliest people who has been battling with this, other ones might have just moved to that stage, so they would feel it’s normal.

@oyotunjiusa please i need advice on this portal, i paid the mrv fee before the new update and first week in september i got an activation link to log into my account, i logged in but i have not been able to do anything on there as it’s been showing pending appointment request on my dashboard, however i haven’t filled or submitted my ds160, so do you think the problem could be from the fact that i don’t have any ds 160 filled / submitted yet?

Hey 🤠

1. It is only recommended officially to fill your main VISA Application (DS-160) before proceeding with the scheduling of your appointment, because you will need to input your DS-160 confirmation number in the process.
Although, you can use ongoing (the ds-160 that you saved uncompleted) DS-160 confirmation number to finish the task of scheduling an appointment, and go back to the DS-160 later.

2. Clear your browser history, restart your phone or computer and log back to AVITS.
Your user account will display the calendar with available appointments (dates) , or the Interview Waiver ( IW ) confirmation. Just click on the " Pending Appointment Request on your dashboard in order to continue.

Best Wishes 🙏

How much do you charge for ur time if u w 2 help review DS160? Or u cn do it 4 free like u do here? Pls I just nid someone to take a look

Hey 🤠

1. Screenshot or narrate or summarise your DS-160 information openly on Nairaland. Give the name of your school, program of study, genuine intentions and brief summary of your personal profile ie , age, work history, sponsor etc.

2. With that, you will receive an honest public opinion, which will be better than relying on individual idea. Nairaland has well-experienced VISA counselors. Oyotunji is just a plus.

1. Screenshot or print out the error page , and use it to create ticket (complain) via the support option. Attach the printed page with brief explanation and submit. You just have to get to the support -staff. They are the one that can resolve it. Keep calling them , keep messaging. Pressure is on the staffs and AVITS b/cos the system is new and population of applicants is larger, but everything shall be normalised soon.

Please I'm stuck at the payment page and unable to progress with booking after making payment of my MRV Fees at the Bank. Its been 2 days now. I have logged a ticket but no help is coming from the AVITS guys.

My question, what exactly do I need to do after making payment. When I type in the bank reference number on my slip into the system, it says "given payment receipt number does not exist".

Any help with this will be appreciated. Thank you

Need help guys , Got denied today ,Planning to apply again soon as my resumption is January

School :Webster University
Funding :15% discount deficit $26000
SOA from dad shows : $47,000
GRE score :330

Interview was short and honestly I have no idea why I was denied , I’m guessing strong home ties , it went like this

VO: what is program are you going for?
Response : I’m going for Masters in International Relations and Affairs

VO: What school are you going to
Response: Webster University

VO: What is the address of your school
Response:470 Lockwood avenue St. Louis Missouri

VO: do you have any relative in the US ?
Response : No I don’t

VO: what is your current job
Response : I’m a lawyer

VO: How long have you been working as a lawyer ?
Response : for 2 years ( it’s my first interview and I really practiced maybe I should have explained further what I do .

VO: I can see you have a $24000 deficit who is funding your studies ?

Response :My Father (was expecting him to ask further questions on what he does and financial statements, but that what the last question

VO: sorry you are not qualified for Visa at this time , hands me the pink paper

Honestly I’m finding it hard to prove home ties ,I’m not married ,have no established business here ,was hoping he asked me about my program and what I plan to do with it , also any suggestion to get a school with better funding with my GRE score would be duly appreciated .

Just curious in general about your profile. Webster University is a good private school and well ranked in the Mid West however, if you have a good undergraduate GPA, with your GRE score, you might be able to get a better option for Fall in terms of funding.

That said, when next you are asked about your current job, try to respond better. I am a lawyer is not sufficient as you could have talked about where you practice and what exactly you are into. If you are not stopped, talk about the interesting cases you have handled etc. If you look through the next question, you will realize she also gave you another opportunity to clarify but you did not seize the opportunity.

Lastly, as for schools, use www.usenews.com/education to find schools that have the program you want. Explore the various programs and funding available and take it up from there.

Sorry for the denial bro

Your responses here somehow lacks not only home ties but motivation/genuine interest in your pursuing the program.
Probably you might have been approved if you were able to talk more about your job, roles and achievements and how probably the study you’re going for would make you better in the field, I feel you can also build your home ties around your job.

Thought as much. People without funding have as much or even better chance of getting approved than people with funding. It’s better not to have funding or scholarships cuz the VO wants someone who’s going to USA to spend his own money
lol don't know where you are getting your stats from. If you carry deficit of like $30k to Lagos or Abuja Embassy chances of denial is 90% especially with no prior travel history. Funding is a very good way to get approved. Approval rate for fully funded is more than 90%. Our economy is in shambles no VO will believe your parents or you can pay $35k for your COA. Very few get approved with huge deficits now
