Yes I was getting the error messages before, I would see dates and when I clicked I would get either this slot has been used or something went wrong error message, hence when I clicked on the oct date and it went I was in complete shock because I would never have booked October I was trying to see if I would get the error message. Then one day I saw April and I tried again to see if it would go through and it went through but right now there is no date till July and i do not know if the July dates will give the same error msg . My advice would be keep trying you just never know when any of the slots will open up. If i see any new dates i will let you know

Hello everyone, my sister has IW for 19th which is Thursday. She has gotten the email to set up her new profile. However she said she called today and she was told to wait for another email that she will print out and take to OIS on Thursday to submit her passport but as at this moment, she’s yet to receive the second email and Thursday is less than 48 hours away. Has anyone submitted IW application since OIS began collecting? How did you go about it?

She should go to the ois services website and book an appointment for drop off, then print out the acknowledgement slip and take it to ois office on Thursday.

Well regarding the drop off at OIS office and not getting a tracking ID,they said you ain't suppose to get one.

If the system prompt you on OIS website that "Your passport is ready for pick-up" i think you should go for it but dont forget to schedule an appointment.

1. Those questions cannot help you in the case of 221g, because 221g is settled via individual case demands. Mr A 221g can be resolved within 2-weeks , while Mr B 221g can take 1 - year , and Mr B might even get arrested if need be.

1. Print or screenshot the page , and attach to your message with brief explanation of the issue, by creating a ticket via navigation of the support option in your AVITS profile. It is good to change browser, restart browser, clear cache and browsing histories at times for effecting internet connection. You just have to get across to the support staffs.

I got my visa about a year ago but not used it yet. Do I have to enter the US through the state I applied with even though its been a year since I got this visa? I am currently planning to visit a different state and hoping I wont have any issues at port of entry over this.

It means you will have to go in for a physical interview.

Usually referred to as a refusal under221G.

The interview is usually to provide more information/clarification to enable the Visa officer to give a final decision.

Did you spend an unreasonable length of time on your last visit to the States? Childbirth? These are some of the reasons that come to mind now.

ok, so it appears one can now drop off in other cities, not just abuja and lagos as was the custom b4 for IW/dropbox., there is now ph/benin/akure etc....though a charge of 50k applies, i hope this covers the whole IW process passport to and fro movement. that would be nice if so..saves one the hassles and cost of booking flights to abuja and hotels etc...and drop off dates even available as early as 2moro

You need to book an appointment for your physical interview as your application is not completed technically.

So I was able to do a drop box and renewed me and my wife's US visas but our daughter's visa had expired for over 48 months. We were able to get an in person interview date for her in October. Do we both have to go in with her or only one parent is enough? She's 12 years old.

I did some searching online and I found some information that said children under 14 don't need to attend us visa interviews, but it's Nigeria, so I don't think that applies to us.

This is to provide an update on my experience with the new portal - AVITS.
I paid online with First Bank and I was issued a receipt. The receipt carries a reference number but that is not the information that the AVITS platform recognizes. Please use the Aventum number, thats what is required under the category of reference number

No. I got an email to migrate to the new system - which I did. From there, I was able to reschedule to an earlier date.
