Predator188: I can never understand this, they make it very difficult for students, some of them highly educated and young and can quickly contribute to the economy bit rather take a refugee that can't speak English and keep them in hotels, paying them. Not that I don't wish the asylum seekers well but I can never understand Canada in matters like this. I struggle to understand Canada and their immigration decisions. They make things difficult for students, many of whom are highly educated, young and could quickly contribute to the economy. Instead, their focus seems to be on the refugees who may not speak English, giving them money, putting them in hotels (all these at high costs). While I wish the asylum seekers well, Canadaโs priorities in these matters are confusing to me. 2 Likes |

Duchynwa:they have been absorbing students into the PR and PNP streams. But currently there is unemployment, citizens and PR cant get jobs. Many students too cant find jobs. Election is next year and there has been a rise in anti immigration. They had to throw some people under the bus to save face. Many of the students were encouraged to come by agents of Canada/ schools in the first place. ๐ฅฒ |

Duchynwa: There are funding tied to acceptance of refugees, part of the fees we pay IOM for medicals goes to all the resettlement, UN and other multilateral bodies also give countries that host refugees funds, so they aren't doing it for free. 4 Likes |

Not totally true. Yes, UN funds refugees but not those who seek asylum within Canada. The consensus among the Canadian politcians is that the integrity of they immigration system has been compromised by some international students. The mood of most Canadians now is not favourable to international student program. They said virtually everybody coming to Canada to study are not real students. They said they are immigrants who see student route as a back door to PR. Before the visa officer approve your study permit, you must convince the officer that you are a BONAFIDE STUDENT not an immigrant. But today, the way the international students conduct themselves is like rubbing it on their face that they are not bonafide students but immigrants. 1. Some abandon their classes and started doing work 24/7 2. Some brought their spouses in, when the spouse on open work permit got PR, they asked the school to convert their fees to domestic fees. Some withdrew from school completely because there was no need to continue studying since they got PR already. 3. Some abandoned their study and claimed an asylum. 4. Some came with a program of three years, once they arrived Canada, they quickly looked for a program of 8 months because it is shorter route to get PR. oluayebenz: 3 Likes |

My study permit was just refused because of this. Does it mean my bank statement and other documents is accepted. And also, how do I order GCMS note?

Hello guys good evening. Please what do you think about the University of Niagara falls Canada. A friend just got admission into the MSc for Data Analytics program. Major challenge is also the area and if it's a good place to find work that could help pay up the school fees. Please your input is really needed right now. Thanks |

God has done it for me ๐ Third time applicant and it has finally been approved. Iโm giving special thanks to God and @jmg12 for putting a thorough application for me. The first time I got denied was in 2019, and the second time was denied on June 6th for financial reasons even after paying almost all my tuition. I paid full tuition this time around and had 26m for living expenses . 8 Likes 1 Share

Seems you don't know some international students claim asylum. This year alone, more than 13,000 international students have petitioned for asylum. Besides the same way you think refuges are uneducated and can't speak English, is the same way someone else will be looking down on international students at all these colleges they've termed "Diploma mills" No immigrant group has it easy. It's tough for students and its even tougher for PR applicants. Anybody japaing should be properly informed. We've seen ircc changing tides. The people whose complaints are founded are those ones that left wayy back before all these changes started (before 2020 even) because they're the ones that entered with the "study visa to work permit to pr" format. Now, e don cast. Duchynwa: 1 Like |
