Kasalagoburst: I am in Alimosho. Those who don't have power will never believe that some of us do enjoy power. I remember I once left Petrol inside my Gen. for 2 years without using it. It was when a truck knocked down a pole along Akowonjo area that I was forced to burn out that fuel. Those who don't enjoy power will argue the 40% assertion from Govt. But none of us can counter with fact, hence our disagreement will always be more of perception. Fact is not equal to perception (feelings). |

My area get light 22hrs at times 24hrs. Also every person get prepaid metre. Now that is where problem comes. For night every where will be dark. People are trying to reduce cost. Even our church has disconnected from nepa. Business have disconnected from nepa because of cost. Imagine billing sometimes 112k plus vat in a month |

Let me speak for myself.... So I'm on band A and ain't gonna lie, I think in the month of September, I experienced power outage just thrice or so (one lasted for some hours, the others lasted just about 10 minutes). Tho that shii is costly AF! |

Re: Do You Enjoy 20 Hours Of Light In Your Area? by Arapmoi22: 7:46pm On Sep 30 |
Kasalagoburst: You are right. The cost is high. I knew we weren't paying enough when it was N67.5 per Kwh. So, I wasn't really moved when the new rate was announced. Compared to some countries I'd stayed, we were paying too low for energy. |

Arapmoi22: But for poor urban planning, this band A thing should have been exclusive to industrial cities and those who our inefficient tax system can’t fleece. For the mean time, many will groan due to this high charge and if the Naira doesn’t further south, who knows what the future holds. By the way, why do you bear the name of that crooked man, Arap Moi? |

CyrusVI:I agree completely with u. We've been enjoying over 20 hrs of steady power here in makurdi, benue state in recent months. This is no child's play i must say, even when the power goes off, it doesn't last up to 10mins before its restored back.... For this, i make bold to say that it is justified. |

Arapmoi22:What is fact? That Nigeria is generating 5,000 megawatts. That is the only fact you need to counter the lie that 40% are enjoying 20hrs of power supply. How can a country with population of 180 million have 40% enjoying paltry 5,000 megawatts? |

iwaeda: For weeks now they have not taken our light. And if they eventually take it, it'll be for like a maximum of hour for the whole of a week, and it'll be restored back . We have been switching off our refrigerator intermittently because of over freezing. Prior to this regime, we usually have steady power supply sha. |
