Oh, the difference is huge. Hyrdoelectrictiy refers to the generation of electricity using water-based sources, typically by powering turbines using a dam. It's a potentially complex process. Now, gas, on the other hand, is fart - what Nigerians call mess. The proper name for this is natural gas. When enough Nigerians fart, which we do a lot, (trust me 200 million people farting up the place daily no be beans -- well, yes eating lots of beans can help). So as I was saying, this fart is collected by the federal government and compressed. I'm sure you have being hearing about the government's CNG conversion program. This CNG stands for compressed natural gas, or in simple terms, compressed fart. It is highly flammable and can be used to generated electricty.
Is this a joke or what?

Re: Do You Enjoy 20 Hours Of Light In Your Area? by Arapmoi22: 3:19pm On Sep 30
I have been enjoying 20 hours plus for 6 years.
Yeah in Lagos.
Lucky to be on industrial appendage.
Life's good.

The only time I don't have energy is when truck hit down a pole or transformer has issues.
That happens once in a while.

I prefer Ikeja Electric power to generator.

Next time you ask for this kind of survey, abeg ask people to state the Community or nearest street crossing, town/neighborhood, and then state. undecided

As you can see, most of the responses don't help at all in narrowing any of the claims. Imagine someone claiming that there is an improved electricity supply in Lagos State when there are communities in the same Lagos that have not even gotten electricity in many weeks. angry

Mischievously strategic - Rainy Season!

Remember those guz who were posting pix of broken beer bottles in their refrigerators (guess what & when) during Rainy Season when Buhari took over in 2015?

Stop lying! Have you been everywhere in Anambra State to make this ridiculous claim of yours? According to the Ministry, only about 12.6 million households out of over 26 million households are connected to the discos, and this claim is being made of only 5.4 million of those households. So, how can you come out to claim an entire state of Anambra has 20 hours of electricity? Una brand of mumu dey too much abeg! undecided
Re: Do You Enjoy 20 Hours Of Light In Your Area? by OJojossy10: 3:44pm On Sep 30

The man's claim is that about 5.4 million households in the entire Nation have access to 20 hours of electricity each day. Remember, that this is a country of over 200 million people, that is over 26 million households; also remember this is about households — businesses are not even being considered at all. What is good about this power you describe? What are you yarning when nothing has improved and only a handful of people have access while so many more others are left in pitch darkness as a result? undecided

And someone somewhere in the same Lagos is probably getting zero hours of electricity as a result. So should we rejoice?
