Please, I tried to fill DS-160 today but after filling out some information,saved, and coming back to retrieve and continue it was showing incorrect ID. I did not copy and paste the ID cos I screenshot it. I carefully typed it but it was showing incorrect ID.
Then I noticed that just below the application ID, there's expiry date showing as 9/30/2024.
Can someone please explain to me what the issue is.

Make selection, scroll down, click on the "DhL pickup...." Click on book appointment, enter your details select a date two days ahead otherwise you will pay....just use your intuition from there, they will generate a pdf for you.

1. You have to wait for 24 hrs and receive the payment confirmation before you can proceed. It can be 48hrs at time. Log in, and log out of AVITS twice in a day, the page will change for you to continue when they are ready. If by Friday nothing happens, then raise a ticket and call them next week.

I was able to schedule my visa (renewal Interview waiver) last night. I have been pending appointment request for a month, got canceled and I re-uploaded my 1-20.

The only thing I did differently was to use another browser. I didn't know if that helped or not. But yes, I was able to proceed last night. Lagos Consulate.

I got a letter, appointment confirmation letter with the option to either bring the documents to the embassy (free) or schedule appointment with OIS to drop off my documents.

Does this apply to only document pick up? I saw that you mentioned date scheduling. Please pardon me if my question sounds stupid. US Embassy has messed up my brain because of interview schedule for visa renewal. And I need it so badly now. Thank you.

I did not remember saying I got an email. Do you have a any letter from your graduate coordinator??
I uploaded my signed I-20, letter from department, screenshot of my pending thing etc to the ticket I created.

Like I said, I don't really know what really worked for me.

If i may ask, so, you just ignored Lagos, filled another ds-160 and chose Abuja right?

How long did it take to get confirmation email, if there any?

How long did the whole process take to get schedule a date?

I'm considering switching to Abuja if that will help. Thank you.

Yep. When u book a new post for your visa, just edit some information otherwise the website won’t let you go

Yes. That’s what I did. Got my visa yesterday. This is what you do; fill a new DS-160, choose Abuja this time. Go to the appointment booking page. Fill in your info and all that. Note that if u enter the same passport number that u enter in the appointment booking page for Lagos inside this new one that you’re booking at Abuja, it say “duplicate user found” so what you do basically is to change one digit in your passport number (preferably the last number). Go ahead and book. Your appointment slip will come out with this new passport number. Don’t worry! It doesn’t matter , no one cares since your DS-160 confirmation page and your passport already bear the correct passport number. No one even notice, cuz I initially plan to tell them, but the appointment slip was only useful at the gate when they’re validating your appointment on their system.
