I honestly don't know why you're getting the request for tax ID. Maybe you are doing something wrong or wait for anyone that did theirs recently. I did mine back in 2021; maybe something has changed, but I don't think so. 🤨

I think there was an option to indicate that I wasn't based in the US back then, so I didn't need any tax form.

Did you use a Nigerian address as your home address? And did you set your account to receive payment in a different country? Grey address is not your home address, but that of your US bank.

Looking at the screenshot by gentlekeny, they're requesting for an organizational tax ID. I operate as an individual, so that's irrelevant to me. I saw a prompt regarding that yesterday or so when I checked Afternic and I simply dismissed it.

On one of my GoDaddy account, I have $1,200 in it. The account is 6 years old.. In 2022, I sold a domain, made some withdrawals and left $1,200 in it. Then I logged into my GoDaddy February 2024 to see u have $1,200 left. Now I connected my grey to the afternic cos they no longer pay to Nigerian dom account.. I tried withdrawal, it wrote "processed" then after some days, my account got blocked. When it was opened, I saw the payment failed. I asked cc, they told me to buy domain cos it's been long I used it. I bought the domain with the same card I used in buying previous domain. I initiated withdrawal, it got to pending them cancelled again and account blocked.

My account got opened after 5 weeks, I initiated withdrawal, it was pending then told the cc about it after 4 days of "pending", it then got into "processed" and told me to wait 3-7 days ..

Have anyone encountered shit like this before.??

I have another GoDaddy account, newly opened in 2023. I sold domain from it in June 2024. Domain worth $100k+. After the sales, account got blocked in July.. and it has stayed blocked . In October, they requested for receipt I used in purchasing the domain, I submitted and it's still not opened yet..

Have anyone encountered shit like this before?

You must first contact afternic before u add that u want to avoid tax form but still add USA bank as a Nigerian ohhhh... ..

Look at the email I sent to them explaining and their reply.....

They will open an extra option during adding.. open eye and look very well at the payment screen below it's different from your own oh check am well well third screenshot it shows 3 different places for country .. main country... Payment country and country ... This won't open unless u first contact them oh ..... Then you won't have to fill tax form at all at all simple at abc....


And for next page Make sure it shows Ach/Direct Debit option else u go just lost your money don't go and click anything else ..

Then - send payment.

Is there a better alternative?

I observed that with GBP, it's always about $6 short when I do the conversion.

Atom usually follow buyer's transfer instruction, if buyer option for transfer out for domain under 60 days lock, in my own case, buyer doesn't respond to transfer choice on time while Atom asked me to push the domain to their Spaceship account.

I think if Atom has an account with the domain registrar while still awaiting 60 days lock, they can ask you to push to them so you can receive payout.

I think you can also use ns1 and ns2 - that's what they had on their website. Support made me understand that when I contacted them because I used ns5 and ns6 previously.

The most important thing is to point to Afternic servers. You set your lander options in your account.
