Can south east go their separate ways so you can enjoy your vats and revenues?

You are quite apt with your inference, however, we still have one of the lowest tax to GDP ratios on the continent.....a state is free to choose what it taxes as that as always been the case,if a state is comfortable with it's paltry allocation from faac,no problem.

It's a states ability to develop and retain human capital that would determine it's economic development and sustainability...... states in the north are earning nothing from direct taxes while a state like Lagos is benefiting enormously from it's location and commercial hub of the country.
Our tax to GDP figure is not correct i can boldly say. There's a bigger taxation that occurs in the informal sector and of course there's a huge amount of indirect tax in the system that's not captured.

Agric based states should be allowed to tax agric products if we want just taxes. If not, agric derivatives should be taxed and shared with agric inputting states. That's what I think so be fair and just

Yeah not proud or loud. Ebonyians are quiet, humble and hardly insultive or agitational, also hard-working.

You completely miss the point. A huge percentage of the vat paid in Lagos and Rivers state is still paid by the people You hate, the Igbos.A single importer pays more than 4m as vat on a 40 ft container

Did you read what I wrote before your hateful bigotry push you to reply? I was talking about other states beside Lagos and Rivers States, and asking why are there VAT greater than the Eastern States which have large commercial centres?
Re: VAT Generated In States Across Nigeria (August 2024) by Omeizamon: 7:33pm On Nov 20, 2024
This analysis is wrong. The total VAT collected is less less than Lagos and Rivers State. Check your figures correctly before posting

Just as Anambra and Imo have GDP higher than Ogun, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti.

A GDP that is not generating higher revenues for their states and people's use is nothing to be proud of.

Why would Benue State be generating more VAT than Ogun State even though Ogun is the second highest industrial state after Lagos in Nigeria? De tin still de shock me.

Apart from Anambra, which is just about N700m higher, Ekiti has more VAT revenue than all the states in the SE

I'm happy for the south west and I just pray that they will use it to build good toilets in their region.

Your TPain tax collector governors are draining you people dry and you are here rejoicing about it.

And by the way, Igbos are possibly responsible for more Lagos VAT than yorubas who are constantly deported from Lagos to their states for non productivity

Shut up. Mobil has never been headquartered in Akwa Ibom. Yes Shell West was headquartered in Warri, Delta State, before leaving. They didn't leave to Lagos, rather they closed their Warri office and moved their workers to Shell East which is headquartered in Port Harcourt.

How can Ogun State generate only 1.7billion as VAT? With all the industries there?

Most of the industries in Ogun State are crooks. Chinese, Lebanese, and Indians - they cook books and under-declare their revenue and profit.
