Why is nobody talking about how Hakimi came along with a private jet and psg owner accompanying him to the caf awards …. I’m sure he must have been told he was going to win it ahead of lookman just to make the award competitive |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Philosopher1979: 9:41pm On Dec 20 |
maidaboi: Chukwueze has a serious attitudinal problem. If he has osimhens determination, he will succeed but he is just too lazy and laid back. He is more naturally talented than ademola lookman but he is not intelligent and he does not want to improve on his weaknesses. Anyway they won't sell him this January as they need players but if he does nothing by summer, he may be sold. He is just too inconsistent and laid back. He needs to improve. |

M7even: Our players just need to be more committed and play with more intensity like they do at their club sides. For God’s sake they are not amateurs but professionals who understand the technicalities of the game. Coaching is not just the main thing but right attitude from the players 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Philosopher1979:Chuckwueze naturally talented than Lookman?...I think we rated these players based on their under 17 exploits and the bars were raised too high for them.... initially I thought Chuckwueze was better than Saka. 1 Like |

daveP:Did AE voted out of FIFA best men list....Messi was on the list so he has every right to pick him,so no need for us nailing him on his choice. Messi was ranked 6th best so nothing wrong with AE decision. I repeat if it's other way round Ivorian coach would be condemned for picking Lookman ahead of his country man. |

daveP:not picking your country man that is in the final list for an award is really crazy. One Nigerian journalist and prepetual( not really sure)were once dragged for not voting for asisat one year like that. The fact that the person is in the final list means that he is good enough to win. That is not the time to be logical 1 Like |

Kog45: Not voting countryman is a norm. The votes that AL got from Balon d'or shows countries with coaches that picked him normally in their top picks. Cos of merit. It just proves that AE choice is not by merit and that shows a lot about him. We all know why messi is still relevant and it has nothing to do with performance again. So why him? What happened to others better than him? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by daveP(m): 11:15am |
Amedino99: Why those two were dragged is because they used the sentiments and not merit to sidelines Zee. It is the other side of this dialogue. AE picked cos of sentiment. Those two, Nkwocha and Osasu picked based on sentiments as well, sidelining the one that merit. They can be in the final list, but it does mean all are equal. Especially with Afcon. Only few times we saw hugely contested and tight final 3. This year's own was never tight. Gap yapa like craze |

Pls I'm confused here. Ademola Looman wasn't nominated for the FIFA the best men's best player award. Why are people here now angry that Eguaveuon voted Messi and not Lookman as if Lookman was nominated in the first instance. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by daveP(m): 1:09pm |
For clarity, as it is confusing some, this is not about Looku. The bottom line is Bellingham, Vinicius, Rodri, and Haaland deserve that 1st spot way way way over the Messi he chose. He picking them as 2nd and 3rd is hilarious. Makes no sense one bit. Not one bit. In 2024? The bottomline is about who merits it more and also calls into question the judgement used to boldly arrive at that choice. 1 Like |

femianski: I want to believe he’s lying but that statement is an indictment on CAF and they need to come out to clear the air to preserve the integrity of the award. Again these North Africans will just continue to ruin the reputation of the game in Africa if CAF doesn’t step up and begin to call out their bluff with penalties like they did for Libya. Look at the last afcon with the great reputation of excellent officiating and even the reputation of just concluded awards in comparison to ballon dor. CAF has a great reputation now and they shouldn’t allow these idiots yes they are indeed idiots from North Africa to pour sand in their garri. The great reputation of CAF now is set to bring in huge revenue for the advancement of the game in Africa and its foolish to allow a bunch of nitwits to ruin it. |

daveP:This thing wey una de overflog no follow. If this is not about Lookman, to who does he owe explanation for his judgement? I for one do not rate many of this generation of stars and will gladly refrain from voting them butif necessity is laid on me based on my position as a coach to choose, as far as there more options I am free to "waste" my vote. |
