SalamRushdie: Compare this post of yours with the trash you first posted, any relation or similarity? I'm neither an HIV patient nor a health worker but I'm not ignorant of the scourge of HIV and the roles of free medications over the years 2 Likes 1 Share |

Too bad. Population of HIV careers will increase, just watch out. Why do African men love $ex so much?. Some illiterates think the HIV statistics are fake in Africa, dig deep and you will know it's true. Just ask any health personal working in the hospital. |

Seunmuham:I don't believe they love China. They appreciate China. China is yet to seep into mainstream media. Once China or Russia or whatever country becomes the go-to destination for fun, financial services, games, technologies and whatnot quality of life, leaders would love it. And China grows more in military technologies, and capable of defending itself and poses as at least 70% independent in military self-defense, your political leaders and their relatives would naturally love the China, and diplomacy with them would be freer. Should China then couple it with free monies here and there, the ministries would prioritize any China-related items in their queues. Just be the go-to for quality of life items and destinations, pose great military strength and have foot in other countries (through aids or whatever) and have a great share of the mass media, you're the leader. Check all great empires. And US? US isn't loved because it's become a bully. Even the Americans are seen as ignorant, arrogant and proud. USA is tolerated, not loved. And now, they'd have no reasons to tolerate it anymore cause there's no more benefits for them - no money, no aid, nothing. |

EmperorCaesar: How about we look at this from another angle - the American angle, that is. See, on the scenes of international politics, no country does anything entirely for charity. Trump, here, has been implying (long before now) that the US of A has been doing a whole lot for other nations and is having little to nothing in return. He has cited numerously that instead, some of these countries antagonize its international policies. It is not unexpected for Trump to halt funding to societies that won't support America's course. Recall his Make-America-Great-Again slogan; he is all about prioritizing America and Americans over other countries...and this is exactly a fantastic attribute of any president. Now, let's look at this from the Nigerian perspective. Question is, over the decades since the first diagnosis of HIV was made in Nigeria, if our government were responsible, shouldn't we be able to stand independent in providing care for our PLHIVs today? We, like other African societies, are neck-deep in being "welfare-dependent." Our leaders have repeatedly failed to be responsible for the citizens they claim to lead. They have failed to prioritizing healthcare. Since 2000, the budget allocation for healthcare has remained less than 5%. See healthcare allocation in serious societies in 2024: USA, 17.6%; UK, 11.3%, in Australia, 27%. Why is the Nigerian story different? Let's not look at this from the viewpoint of a victim. To ensure neutrality of judgement, if you analyzed this situation as a third person, you would find that Mr. Trump has done no wrong, and this is exactly what any meaningful president should do - prioritize his/her citizens and country. Rather, Nigeria should send delegates to Washington to expressly convey our deep gratitude for the good the American government has done to us over the years. Now, am I excited that the USA has paused (and possibly terminated) PEPFAR because I did not support Tinubu? Absolutely not! This would be outright childish, evilish, and wicked of me! But, it is what it is, Trump is in the right here. Let's all gather in prayer and hope for two or three things: that the POTUS would permit PEPFAR to continue, that our leaders would acquire more sense and humanity, and that God would continue to preserve our collective health as a nation. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Trump and his wahala. I wanted to throw a bag of face mask away yesterday. Then I remembered that trump is now the president. I immediately changed my mind and now keeping the masks till he completes his tenure. If he had not disbanded the pandemic team placed in far East Asia when he became president during his first tenure, what we would have had would have been endemic to that region and not turn to a global pandemic like COVID 19. 3 Likes |
