berem:This is berem in Lagos who in the last seven months has been begging B2mario for pictures of Orlu; this is berem now asking me who is on ground in Orlu to interact with people in Orlu to know developments on ground. How do you measure the rise of development in an area? Between 1999 to 2007, more than six new banks opened office in Orlu. Since 2011 till date one of them closed shop and no new one came in. You ought to know that humans and inflow of capital create and sustain urbanization: Owerri has all the facilities in Imo state like educational institutions, government ministries to attract humans to it. Okorocha government encourages more of those facilities in Owerri only. That's where he gets it wrong. 2 Likes |

Ahead of the 2015 gubernatorial election, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano, and former Interior Minister, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, have served the Imo State Governor a quit notice, vowing to reclaim the party’s stolen mandate. Speaking at the sensitization rally of the party held at the weekend in Owerri, Imo State capital, Umeh, in his address, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness showcased by APGA leaders in the state which he attributed to the party’s determination to reclaim its stolen mandate in the forthcoming general elections. While charging party members to always work harmoniously towards actualizing total victory for APGA, Umeh also assured that only responsible and true Igbo sons and daughters without questionable background would be nominated as candidates of the party at different levels in the state to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. Also speaking, Governor Obiano, who was visibly elated, urged party members to remain steadfast and com mitted to the party’s victory in 2015 bearing in mind that APGA was formed to realize and protect the collective Igbo interest. He promised to give the necessary support needed in Imo for the party to reclaim its mandate and win over whelmingly in the forthcoming general elections. He acknowledged that it would be a difficult task for any other political party to defeat APGA in Imo judging by its present strength and the grassroots support the party enjoys in the state. In his own words, the former Minister of Interior and governorship hopeful Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho re assured that the party leaders and stakeholders in the state have agreed to close ranks to ensure that APGA wins the governorship election in 2015. Emphasizing that APGA has been well repositioned ahead of future political challenges, Iheanacho revealed that Imolites have already embraced the party again believing in its ideology, adding that it was a clear indication that APGA has been deeply entrenched at the grassroots to win elective positions in the state. He promised to rewrite the history of the state in the areas of socio- economic development, job creation, women and youth empowerment, affordable and quality healthcare delivery, industrialization and quality education system. Highlights of the rally included the formal defection of a very close political ally of Governor Rochas Okorocha and Pro-Chancellor, Imo State University, Chief Clement Owunna, Hon. Ifeanyi Oguzie, former Transition and Executive chairman, Isu LGA and others numbering over 5,000 from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). |

Abagworo:In Orlu depopulated since 2011, when Okorocha government finishes building market stalls will it go to import people from elsewhere to come and occupy the market stalls? Okorocha government's project in Orlu is building market stalls. |

millionaireman:nwoke m, I have pleaded with you in the past to post updated pictures of Orlu since you are on ground but you refused to do that. You're not different from Chino who keeps spamming this thread with old pictures. You claim you visit Orlu but you have never posted recent pictures of the town. I haven't been to Orlu since january so I sincerely have no pictures to post. Biko, let me enjoy Abagworo's pictures of Orlu while I await B2mario's pictures. 1 Like |

Abagworo, thanks for your interest in Orlu, but pls bring pictures of what matters to Orlu people. bring pix of the devastated Sam Okwaraji stadium Orlu, or if there is any ready replacement for the stadium pls show it. bring pix of the Imo-European University which governor Okorocha said should have opened this academic year? bring pix of Okorocha's long proposed Prince Hotel, Orlu? These are projects that could have attracted capital, humans and development to Orlu, hardly roads. Recently, I have dropped current pix of those projects on this thread. |
