Berem biko hapum a ka.

Two Buhari thread made frontpage after your clamour. One was removed and the other left on the homepage. The one removed was created yesterday and had to do with the preparation for his declaration. The one on the homepage is covering the event live as covered by ait thus is more current.

It's obvious there's nothing that can be done to please you. Why Berem, why? sad cry

You guys are so pathetic in your bias and jaundiced mind. You are comparing a television camera phone shot to the live feed given by people present at venue/event. You MODS have taken asslicking to a whole new dimension.. you forgot you had double thread on Okonjo iweala as African finance minister of the year.

Yet you want to justify it and attack the integrity of people who complain. Funny how you try to justify this clear cut case of partisanship and unhidden shame and cowardice. Ban my moniker for its worth.

An umpire must be seen to be unbiased. Moderators, to be fair this post should be the original post on FP. It had live pictures before the actual event, was being updated with live pictures from the event, was relatively devoid of any form of hate or abuse and was objective . Moreover, it was only moved to the front page after alot of plea from posters despite the excuses about it not being the APC primaries.

@ Seun please try not to refer to people's protest or comments as poo. You are a public figure and despite the fact that you own nairaland, it has become the people's platform for expressing their view. you have the power to moderate comments and contributions but never again refer to people's comments as poo. It is unbecoming of a statesman. Please do apologize and do the needful posterity beckons.

Let us be the change we preach.

Yes it's always right to speak up for what you believe in. But while doing it, ensure that you make your case very clear. I wouldn't have known that the other thread was a caricature until you brought it to my attention. Regards.

Well that's by the way.
Seun needs to be unbiased especially as we approach the election year.

APC 'Big boys' flood Buhari's Declaration

Top members of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), including four
governors, were at the Eagle Square
in Abuja on Wednesday for the
declaration of Muhammadu Buhari, to
seek the party’s nomination for the
2015 presidential election.
This contrasts sharply with the
declaration of his rival, Atiku
Abubakar, which was not attended by
any senior member of the party.
At Buhari’s declaration were
Babatunde Fashola, governor of
Lagos; Tanko Al-Makura, governor of
Nasarawa; Rotimi Amaechi, governor
of Rivers state; Adams Oshiomhole,
governor of Edo state; George Akume,
former governor of Benue state;
Olorunnnibe Mamora, former speaker
of Lagos state.

But Kano governor, Rabiu Musa
Kwankwaso, who is also seeking the
party’s nomination, was absent.
Buhari expressed appreciation to
those in attendance, promising to
transform the nation if elected.
He said the ruling Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) had lived
below expectation, lamenting the
high rate of poverty and insecurity in
the country.
“I want to pay tribute to Nigerians
who are enduring all sorts of
hardship and degradations on a daily
basis,” he said.
“Many are grappling with extreme
poverty and barely eking out a living.
Nearly all are in living in the fear of
their lives, also of their friends and
family, due to insurgency by the
godless movement called Boko
Haram.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it is
everyone’s duty to resolve and help
overcome these immense challenges.
I will like to appreciate members of
our armed forces under the new
leadership. I will also like to
commend the police for their efforts
in confronting these challenges.
“I will also like to thank our
supporters up and down the country,
for their perseverance and resolve in
face of the oppressive PDP
government.
“This is an occasion to celebrate our
effort and resolve to continue until
victory is won. I humbly wish to
present myself before you, before all
Nigerians and before God, seeking to
be elected as APC’s presidential
candidate.”

He said unlike the ruling party that
lacks democratic tenets, APC has put
in place structures to ensure free and
fair polls during the primary election.
“We have worked very hard in the
last 18 months to put up structures
from the polling units, to wards, local
government, state and the center,” he
said.
“These structures will lead to free
and fair polls. There is no point in
holding elections if they are not free
and fair.

“The interference in the wish of the
people, which PDP has practised
since 2003, is the worst form of
injustice. Denying people their right
to appraise their candidate. Whether
they like it or not, injustice cannot
endure.
“Since 1999, PDP has presided over
our country’s decline. Nigeria, in my
experience, has never been so
divided, so polarised by an
unthinking government, hellbent on
ruling and stealing. We in the APC
are resolved to stop them in their act
and rescue Nigeria from the
stronghold of PDP.”

Since 2003 when Buhari has been
contesting for the country’s highest
office, he has been emerging second.
In 2003 and 2007, he contested
under the platform of the All Nigerian
Peoples Party (ANPP) and lost to
Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa
Yar’Adua, respectively. But under the
Congress for Progressive Change
(CPC) in 2011, lost to Goodluck
Jonathan.

To all good and patriotic Nigerians we all have seen the beauty of not keeping quiet and fighting for our rights.
We allowed the PDP to take us for a ride for 15 years and running just because the opposition were disjointed and never united.

The significance of the BROOM the symbol of the APC comes to mind here, We can always get what we want as long as we are united, firm and solid in our quest.

The support is unwaivering and our demand is simple.

NO TO IMPUNITY AND CLUELESS LEADERSHIP.

Let the significance of the return of this thread to the homepage resonate in us that we can get what we want as long as the demand is genuine and justified.

It is not called "ascent". It is accent.

Yar'Adua had the same accent. If you had no complaint about Yar'Adua's accent, why the complain about Buhari?

I wished I'm in Nigeria to support this man. His tenure was the only good time I ever enjoyed in Nigeria since I was born. Many are just fabricating lies about this man. I was not too small to notice what he did for the country as a whole.

Who still remembers the groundnut pyramids in the North, the Coal in Enugu and Permkernels, the Cocoa in the southwest. Oyibo people respected us. We can still be like that again. We need someone to kick out corruption. He's the only one that can do it. He's done it before. He told us in his speech when he rescued us from the corrupt civilians that he would do it and he did before agents of darkness IBB came to restore corruption again and all his successors too followed suit. He's back to do it again, this time as a civilian.
May God reward IBB for all his evil deeds.
