Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by Nobody: 8:59am On Oct 27, 2014 |
I said I wanted whoever wins HOH to put up Tayo, but after thinking on it, I've come to the harsh realisation that none of those HMs have the ballz to put him up...maybe Nhlanhla, and that's a big maybe, but the others are scared of the dude. So let the HOH put M'am Bea up instead. I just want that Kaycee dude out, I can even stand Perming lotion more than I can stand that sell-out |

UjSizzle: This your post ma'am was totally hilarious and unnecessary. You coming after Reincarnated had mentioned you in his post (you wouldn't have been here if he didn't brought you up in their discourse), to act all saintly and godly like you've been here all these while, makes it more laughable. The only active mod on this thread out of the three mods in this section is Briaeros. Only him and NO ONE else. I've been a silent reader so I know what I'm saying. Yet you arrive after a CIVIL argument to make it look like you've been here all along and that they are fighting. And no, people argue, it's no crime. It keeps the thread alive, it keeps the fun rolling. Like you acceded, it's a civil one. All that Reincarnated and Spade mentioned are all part of jokes people on here crack and it's part of the BBA The Chase happenings last year. Briaeros was here last night when it all started and if they'd crossed the line, he' have done the needful. There's no reason to talk about bans because none of the arguers crossed the line so save your ban threat, we are not kids. About the derailing, this thread is all about derailing. Without derailing (I don't call it so though) we might as well close the thread and leave NL. Where was this your sermon when Ochon brought up the football discussion? Where were you when people brought up other discussion not related to BBA? Where were you when this same Safarigirl acting all holy-holy now was discussing her university with Dannyxy? The Mugabe talk between LaBellaZA andf Obrafour started from BBA-related issue, so it's not politics discussion. It's part of the BAA. In as much as we value your contributions as a mod, don't come here treating us as kids. Spade and Reincarnated broke no rules. You were on last year's thread and didn't scream derailing when they're hooking up and having fun long after the show ended, but now Reincarnated mentioned you, you turn up like a god dishing out rules to her subjects. On politics section, people are insulted and they don't get banned as long as it's civil insult. So what are you talking about? Please don't kill the vibe of this thread. 18 Likes |

Forwetinnah:thank you. we all have, even I have. just imagine if someone like mark zukerberg, aliko dangote enters the thread, and all they see is "fhucktard", "Bytch", "nigga" flying everywhere, they would conclude we are just a bunch of delinquent highschool kids. big brother needs alot of sponsorship from cooperate bodies for it to run, if such cooperate bodies enter a thread like this, and see the way vulgar words are been used unecessarily, they would draw the conclusion that the show is being followed by teenage delinquents, in such situations, do we think they will give their cooperate backing for the show? all said and done, there should be moderation in whatever we do. good morning. |

Safarigurl: LOL.. So the equation is balanced? But I think, people use Twitter more than FB these days so at the end of the day, Tayo's minions will have better bragging right. |

Dannyxy: So Zuckerberg, Dangote, etc., don't watch AA-movies filled with Nigga and bytche word? So FB, Twitter, Instagram that these personalities use, ain't filled with "nigga", "fhuck" and "bytch" words? So reddit, Goal.com don't have those words spoken by even foreigners themselves? Now it comes to NL, the rules have changed? It might interest you to know that The Wolf Of Wallstreet had the highest mention of the "fhuck" word in any movie ever produced - between 509 and 569. And guess what? Bill Gates and Co watched it and probably nominated for Oscar Award. So what matters most is the moderation. Off NL, I don't use the F, N or B-word. Chillax abeg. 5 Likes |

UjSizzle: Madam uju, I didn't want to reply initially, but I just couldn't resist. First if all, the other mod has warned against confrontations and unnecessary banters on this thread, matter of fact, I got banned thrice for deviating. According to him, we should endeavour to keep things clean on here, which is what has been going on.. Any subsequent offender had been sentenced, safarigirl and ghkwame got jailed two days ago, but never had he complained about derailing on this thread because he understands that this thread is a little derailers paradise, most people on this thread are no strangers to each other, this thread is only an extension of last year's. In a nutshell, I am saying derailing on this thread is inevitable, it's all part of the fun.. I am only baffled you claim not to know this seeing as you witnessed the events of last year's. Babe if you are gonna be banning anybody for derailing, no one would be left here, you can as well just close the thread and move on with your duty.. I understand you don't get to see an interactive thread like this in this section everyday, dis is a different thread from those you know, maybe you need to adjust your rules to suit the thread.. Stop threatening us with bans, it's unbecoming of you mods or "were you just trying to remind us you are a moderator", don't worry, we still remember except you are trying to imply that the other dude does not know his job... Nd why didn't you say anything before you were mentioned by reincarnated, why is my name even on the list, I follow them dey argue? No worry, BBA is the only thing bringing us to this section, as soon as the show end, we go vamoose... thanks for your anticipated cooperation.... Yours sincerely 8 Likes |

ochon: What Danny trying to say is such words dont make one look or sound responsible, especially at a certain age. See rappers like Jay and Kanye are changing their bytch slurs cause they're now fathers with daughters.( People are trying really hard to be politically correct so as not to wade off certain opportunities) Wolf of wall street is a movie..gates , zukerberg won't walk into a board room or conference shouting fhuck, niggah even if they watch such movies. I understand what he's saying.. But then this is NL, anything goes *thats if the mods allow it though* Hollywood is one machinery messing up the World big time 1 Like |

Dannyxy: Trust me not to let stuffs like these slide. (1) According to who? oh Yeah, according to SAINT DANNY. Dude get it straight. You are in no position to decide what is necessary and what isnt just because you are comfortable with one rather than the other. How narrow minded can one be? Swear words makes you uncomfortable, why not get off the FORKING web. Ok so you really want to know whats unecessary? I'll tell you. Dirts and filth in the streets of lagos are unnecessary. So you really want to assist us (Lagosians) in getting rid of them, Ill suggest you join LAWMA. (2) NIGGA I suggest you take a career in stand up comedy. Maturity is now being determined on the basis of swear words. How ridiculous! 'people that use swear word uneccessary are not taken serious, if you were to be in the cooperate business world you would know.' NIGGA, where do you think i work? Civil service hell no! I work in the organised private sector dude. Imagine, a student, telling someone who's already working what obtains in the sector where he works?? NIGGA, you are such a JOKE. (3) LMFAO! please feel free to take me as anything you may desire. Primary school kid, unserious teenager, embryo, anything at all. I really DONT GIVE A FORK. You know why danny? Three things. First is your impression DOESNT MATTER ONE FORKING BIT. It doesnt decide who I am or who I'm not. Second, your so called impression doesnt add ONE NAIRA to my bank account. Third, I may never see you in real life. So why THE FORK should i give A FORK about what one E-CLOWN thinks of me? This is so laughable. (4) Imagine you are an enterpreneur and you bid for a contract worth N500M. Then the old man of 50 years is the managing director of the company that called for the bid. And he tell you all that you said in your post. Are you saying you will withdraw from the bid no matter how bright your chances are at winning cos the managing director used swear words? Or when you graduate, you are fortunate to meet the MD of an upstream oil company who takes a liking to you cos you impressed him when he had a discussion with you and he tells you. 'Danny, you seem a bright and i feel you can add value to our company. Can you send me your forking CV first FORKING THING TOMORROW FORKING MORNING.' Are you telling me you won't forward your CV to him on the shallow basis of using swear words? AGAIN, YOU ARE SUCH A JOKE! (5) Thanks for the compliment (old man like me). But my advise to you as an old man is that you open up your mind, study hard, pray harder. Hope you graduate with good grades and that God will grant you divine favour as you hustle your way thru the saturated labour market so you can land a FORKING good job. bye for now NIGGA |

So because your child came first for 3years you'll tell him/her not to bother the next year? Why take part in something without trying your best to win. We'll only stop trying to win when Nigeria no longer participates[/quote]I was just thinking we should chill out you know-just watch the game-if we win it that'll be like 4 times already ...come on let's give other housemates(countries) a chance |

ochon:I am responsible for what i post, not what you understand, you know that right? you were not among those I even had in mind when I wrote that post, I don't really fault those that use it, when they are angry, or having war of words, after all they are angry. my problem is with those that use it unnecessarily, I keep stressing the "unnecessarily".. bro we are saying the same thing, all I am advocating for is moderation. it's a movie, I have not watched the movie tho (I am not a movie freak), I am sure it's the story line, the message in the movie that kept them captivated, not the number of "fhucks" |
Re: Big Brother Africa 'hotshots' Official Thread by thandii1: 9:45am On Oct 27, 2014 |
Forwetinnah: Madam, this is bba thread, and half of the discussions here are informal and I want to believe we all are above 18 and everyone has a right to post the way he or she deems fit. Why call people lame because they choose to type some way. You and danny do not know any of us offline so it is very wrong to assume those who type those words online are irresponsible. You are not in ANY position to force your 'moral' beliefs on us. You are no different from those who think everyone who watches BBA is a kid, jobless, and immoral. Quit the judging already and let live. Mr rennasaince and njokusboy, thanks for setting the records straight for that busybody mod. I have personally used the report button more than twice and I don't see her green light on this thread. Briareous is the only mod who maintains sanity in here, so let no one come here to claim peacemaker and address us like we are kids. And for the records I'm not one to cower at the at the sound of ban or lick azz to avoid being banned. If you wanna ban derailers, just ban all of us on this thread. I've lost count of the derailment that has happened on this thread since the day it was opened, yet the viewing board is never empty. The so called personal arguments have cooled off. The participants have come a long way, so thank you we are not fighting. We are used to kissing and making up, it only makes us human. 3 Likes |
