Only if she wants to please him enough to want to marry her.. Or if she wants to rot his belly with poison or diarhea/dysentry so that he wants to leave her, thereby free her to escape him after she discovers she cannot be with him any longer... |

if you are a girlfriend and you don't cook for your man, how do you expect to proceed to fiancee or even Wife? That's a sound decision if you are having a fling and not in a relationship. |

Abi una no sabi cook? Una wan enter house finish come dey use cookery book for kitchen. Olodo people. IMO it is one of the things you need to do to convince your BF that when he marries you, he'll never think of the eateries. Some of you can only boil noodles! |

If you truly love him, you would do anything to make him happy, even if it includes cooking for hours.... It does not make you a slave neither does it guarantee your "graduation" to a wife, it only leaves an imprint of the kind of woman you are in the guy's heart if you end up with him or not. 10 Likes 1 Share |

What sort of threads are springing up on a daily basis by these pikins on Nairaland for Chrissake? If a lady does not cook for his guy, how do you expect the guy to know his kitchen affairs is safe in your hands? I wouldn't be surprised to see a thread some day on 'Must I have sex with my husband after marriage'? |

I personally do not see anything wrong with cooking for your boyfriend, only that let it me that you want to because you like to ,or saw a need to.but not so that he will make you his wife. if a guy do not want you,no matter how frequently you cook,he still won't want you. for me,I cook when o go to visit, that is because I like to cook, not to impress or hook him. Do whatever is right for you,do not let society set your standards. and yes is so sexy when I am cooking and I have to send me on errands *baby get the salt* 1 Like |

Sapphire86: I think he meant women who don't show wifely attributes and not submissiveness. If you don't show me how good a wife you can be while we are dating how do I know you'll be a good wife when we get married. A man will marry a woman out of a bunch if he sees she has good mothering qualities , good home keeper , great cook , gives less trouble ( I think this is where submissiveness comes in ) , has a great business acumen and is career/goal oriented. The physicals come way after all these have been met or at least has a good blend of all ( willingness to take one or two compromises ). Some guys do get it wrong and marry for other reasons , as long as he can live with it and her , who am I to complain. |

my experience: met this guy in my 1st year in sch.loved him like mad.wen am in his house which was like always, I will cook, clean do laundry n of course fvck am, 3yrs down d line I discovered his screwing my Bestie n she's pregnant. everyone told me to leave it to God everything has a reason.1.5yrs later bros died in a car crash, my friend is now a young widow.but I learnt a lesson a man won't marry u cos ur doing all those stuff for him.if he no love u he no love u.my policy now, if u dey my house I go give u food if I dey ur house u can either cook or we eat out. 3 Likes |

Most ladies dont know nada! Now, have you ever sat down, think and ask yourself... "Why am I dating him?" or someone just answer a this simple question. "Why do we have to date for a while before finally getting married?" |
Re: Should A Lady Cook For The Guy She's Dating? by chronique(m): 7:31pm On Oct 31, 2014 |
Sometimes,I keep wondering why ladies keep looking for problems where there is none. If you cook sometimes/always for the guy, will it kill you? Moreover, how many times would you cook for a working class lover who goes to work or his place of business in the morning, and comes back at night;where would you get the opportunity to cook "everytime" for such a person? Assuming you guys get to see mainly on saturdays, and you cook for him on such days;is that so much of a task? The reason why a lot of relationships fail,is because most times,we tend to elevate trivial issues and give them the kind of priority they normally shouldn't enjoy. This topic is one of such trivial issues that can ruin a seemingly lovely relationship;trust me. 2 Likes |
