I find this very interesting to discuss here..and I will go straight to the point..I don't think its advicible for a lady to always cook for the man she's dating anytime she's visits him.if you visit him 5 times,u can cook two times or once for him..its important that we ladies should know our place in our man's life..if you are his friend, you act like his friend..if you a re his girlfriend ,you act like one and if you a re his wife..you also act like one..A woman is meant to be explored..if am dating/courting you and during the course of that I cook all my delicasies for you,..what threat wil I give you when we get married?hmmm I can't find myself loitering around a man's kitchen when am not his wife..whats ur opinion ladies?men are also free to air their opinions too...reasonable comments please..thanks

Your advise or topic should be directed towards "sex" and not food. We have been eating food since birth and we didn't get bored of it, so their is nothing like ""what threat will I give you when we get married"". Their is nothing bad if a gf cooks for her bf home and away

Sometimes,I keep wondering why ladies keep looking for problems where there is none. If you cook sometimes/always for the guy, will it kill you? Moreover, how many times would you cook for a working class lover who goes to work or his place of business in the morning, and comes back at night;where would you get the opportunity to cook "everytime" for such a person? Assuming you guys get to see mainly on saturdays, and you cook for him on such days;is that so much of a task?

The reason why a lot of relationships fail,is because most times,we tend to elevate trivial issues and give them the kind of priority they normally shouldn't enjoy. This topic is one of such trivial issues that can ruin a seemingly lovely relationship;trust me.
Jah bless you my person.
Cooking for him when you have the time isn't a big deal unless the girl can't cook and so hides under the guise of 'it's not right to cook for him, I'm not his wife yet'...you might as well stay away from his house until you become his wife keh! Abi?
My sweet porero cooks for me especially when she comes visiting on weekends or when I visit her. And I stuff my fridge with her meals to last me for the week...what could be more romantic than that (I mean apart from the usual flirting, kiss**g, and other etc-ing that happen btw us tongue )

No biggy in my opinion though id rather eat out at least in the early stages of the relationship...not a food person...but based on facts on ground not some random online chick I think almost all girls cook for their bfs and almost all the time too and thats a fact whether at his place or yours so keep away from most female monikers saying they cant or wont cook...most of them are either males using female monikers or underage girls who prob havent been in a relationship

I had over 20 chics b4 getting married. 1 of the things dt made me settle down was the following:
i. When my wife usually came to visit me in my pops house back then, i dey give am cloth to wash
ii. I actually give her money to cook exactly what I want to eat for me and she does it for me in my BQ in those days
iii. She stood out among all the hungry, forming bitches back then because she was my wife
My advise...
i. if you want to follow this goat that wrote this piece, by all means do so, when u r 40 u will wake up
ii. How can you play a role that you are not accustomed to? you wan be wife but you no wan behave as such...
iii. ...and this goes to all the 30+ & co ladies wey dey give men deadline for marriage, unfortunately, there are a million girls (mostly not lagos born tho) who will take care of ur man d way you never would (cos ur mama was too busy making money for d family to teach u how) that chic will take ur man and ur man will soooooo forget u exist(ed).
Good luck to all the humble, good and submissive girls out there, even if ur man leaves you, HE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.

I personally do not see anything wrong with cooking for your boyfriend, only that let it me that you want to because you like to ,or saw a need to.but not so that he will make you his wife. if a guy do not want you,no matter how frequently you cook,he still won't want you. for me,I cook when o go to visit, that is because I like to cook, not to impress or hook him. Do whatever is right for you,do not let society set your standards. and yes is so sexy when I am cooking and I have to send him on errands *baby get the salt*

yes! you gerrit. I love that part most.

Beside, wont even leave her side in the kitchen. As she dey nack me spoon for head (wen I thief boiled meat chop) na so I go dey kiss and run away.

Very sexy thing!!!

Some olodos who are scared of letting out their awful cooking skills are setting mumu opinions.

Let her not cook, the guy will definitely not beg her! When he feels bored of her coming over and balancing her sorry self on the sofa,he will get a serious and better girl that will cook for him. I can bet with some CASH that any girl that refuses to cook(food that both parties will eat)for a guy she is dating DON'T know how to cook jack!! She is just a spoilt little piece of poo!!! Ask her and she will say "...honey let's go eat at TANTALIZER". As if that food was not cooked by a woman like her. My girlfriend cooks for me wella, and we both enjoy the meal together. I am even thinking of cooking for her,I pray she manages the CONCOTION I will put together. For your info, the ONLY GENUINE way to a man's heart is through his STOMACH,not the worthless sex you offer, which he will get elsewhere when you also choose to deny him that!!! Mtchew...no cook na,na only you go waka go your house that night. Laughs in latin. Case closed!!!

Me o i'd say it is not advisable. It starts from somewhere; from cooking to washing to cleaning. Unless there are plans for marriage or if she must, maybe once a while

my experience: met this guy in my 1st year in sch.loved him like mad.wen am in his house which was like always, I will cook, clean do laundry n of course fvck am, 3yrs down d line I discovered his screwing my Bestie n she's pregnant. everyone told me to leave it to God everything has a reason.1.5yrs later bros died in a car crash, my friend is now a young widow.but I learnt a lesson a man won't marry u cos ur doing all those stuff for him.if he no love u he no love u.my policy now, if u dey my house I go give u food if I dey ur house u can either cook or we eat out.
sis campus luv/co-habitation affairs are nothing but a fantasy life we create and plunge our youthful life in,just for fun, prideand experiment which has little or NO longitivity begating urgly past in the future...comparing ya past wt d real tin now will probably make u lose ya man if he's like me cz i knw what i want...help him out whn u are around atleast he will feel yu impact.

Godmother:
I see no biggy in it. If I go to my boyfriend's house I will cook. Even my best male friend, whenever I go to his place I cook for us both to eat. If the house is dirty we clean-up together. However, the day I don't feel like doing anything I will sit and cross my legs and we will sort ourselves out by buying boli and groundnut or something else if he cannot cook

Bless your heart. Honestly, i can't marry a girlfriend that comes to my house just because she wants to "visit". I will like to see my girlfriend (Wife to be) doing the house chores, showing off her cooking skills in my kitchen, discussing relevant matters with me and taking part in the running of my house like a true African woman while i will love her, be there for her and take care of her needs like a responsible African man even if she's got a job. That is what a relationship should look like before marriage. Only then will i feel the need to put a ring on that finger because she has proven beyond doubt that she can take care of our home and family.

Most of these girls saying "If he comes to my house i will cook for him" still live with their parents. What kind of man goes to his girlfriend parent's house to eat her cooking?

OP how old are you?

nice topic, firstly am a guy and i can cook WELL, i dont care if she cooks for me or not, infact i dont like a girl that am not married to, to alwaiz cook for me, but i expect her to cook once in a while, sometimes it feels good for a man to know he has a lady preparing his meal, thats an ego booster and that really makes him think of really settling down. like they say'' the way to a man's heart is his stomach'' that was then, today the way is just ''down there''...lolz
