Please dont go fighting or hitting anyone, she is an adult she should handle it and seems to be handling it. How many men will.you beat up amd confront? Adults should handle their own issues, she has a mouth and two hands

Dont go and enter police station or God forbid prison ( you never know the state of someone's health you go hit him maybe he get one sickness come die). You think if you get locked up fighting your babes toasters she will wait for you to comot abi?

I and my girl have been going out for more than a year now and she is the sweetest soul I have ever met. Recently I mistakenly saw a text message from an unknown number declaring foolish exhortations of love and when I checked further I saw she had replied the guy, telling him in clear terms to keep off. I brought it to her attention and she laughed it off and told me it was some random guy and I should forget about it which I kind if did.

Three days ago we were talking when her phone rang and she cut the call. It rang again and I became suspicious when she put her phone off. So I probed and she said I shouldnt worry but I insisted she put it back on and eventually she did. Sure enough, like 15mins later this guy calls with same mysterious number and she put it on speaker. It was then I realised he's my friend at work! He was smooth talking her and she warned him once again that she wasn't interested, even went so far as to insult him and finally cut the phone. The guys last words with his fake american accent was 'P*** baby, don't be like this..."

She has assured me that there is nothing going on between them and I believe her but what is really pissing me of is this guy is my friend at work. If we are talking rank he is a junior colleague. I've tried to be matured about it and forget the matter but seriously anytime he walks by my desk I feel like giving him a serious beating. I'm wondering wether to confront him about it or let it slide. Seriously if it were somebody else I think I would have given good advised but now it's happened to me I'm severely confused. I want to beat him up.
how did he get her number?

@op, u be mumu. u no dey watch Hollywood?

the next time u see the guy, beat him up, give him a red eye and a swollen lip... preferably far from your workplace.

invite him or trick him to a place you can do this.

If after that, he doesn't feel remorseful..... record the phone call and eventually talk warning him for the last time.

Also, pick on him at work and set him up.

Somehow I smell trouble - don't confront the fellow, smile/work as if nothing happened cos any form of talks/conversation can make a good story of "Jealous, over-bearing, are you sure she's even Ur babe, guy park well" headline

Don't dwell on it.......simply accept her assurance.

**actually I have lost a girlfriend to a friend that way#smile

She claim they were fellowship members , little did I know he has telling her to leave me and come with him

They are married now

Am more interested in your story......lol

Have you spoken to her/him?
Are you still friends with them?

Don't mind my aproko-ism but I just can't help it when I hear stories like this.

Of course he knows. That's why he was hiding his number/using a different number.

Like I said we all know each other. Like a group/clique thing. It was him using a new number and I guess trusting my babe not to say anything..smh.

Anyway I called him with the mysterious number and sent him on an errand. When he asked how I got the number I told him my gf gave it to me since his other numbers weren't going thru(obvious lie tongue) Guy was so silent I thought he had cut the line. Finally responded. At least the work will keep his idle mind busy for a while. Hopefully he's not an idi0t and will get the message.

I'd advice you ignore the dude. Confronting him over it would be kinda hand falling. Keep your pride up and don't give him the impression you're aware of the whole thing. If your girl is yours, she would respect herself and not behave stupid. One way to make him feel stupid,is for your girl to pick the call the next time you guys are together, and put it on speaker. You guys can continue discussing and when he starts his talking and professing his love for her,ask her: "baby, who's this slowpoke that's always disturbing you"? Let her laugh and say: "it's jeff(your so called friend's name). Then, you ask: "jeff,is that truly you"? You can be rest assured he'd cut the call and next time he sees you,he'd start looking for where to hide his face.

The moment u think a touch of lightening is needed might make you wish a calm movement of a moving stream can achieve a better effect......look at this way - the gentle wave makes a nasty stone so smooth and beautiful compared to the sudden and soon forgotten lightening.

Take the assurances of ur lady

Op, it's a free world, anybody can toast any girl he wants, you don't have the right to beat him up just because you can, would you consider beating him up if he was bigger/stronger than you.... No, it won't even cross your mind...
Just don't consider him a friend no more cos real niggers don't stab each other lyk dat...
But if you beat am, your 5 mins madness go become permanent by the time police finish knack you kondo for counter... or buy the time you chop lafun with groundnut oil and aya as dinner for kirikiri...

Utter tosh.

~ Men are territorial.

~ They are jealous creatures

~ They don't share their women.

If he loves her, he will fight to keep her by proving his worth. It's the basics of survival of the fittest. If he can't stand his ground and ward off his adversary in very clear, unambiguous terms, then he doesn't deserve her and he should quietly slink off into the shadows like a true weakling.

It ain't rocket science.

I hear guys usually forgive each other these things and move on like nothing happened...??
I think the most important thing is your babe is handling it and you should leave her to conclude it. Confronting the guy about it is unnecessary.
Re: How Do I React To This? by crackhaus: 9:54pm On Nov 02, 2014
After doing everything to avoid commenting on this topic, the above comment (by Efemena) just couldn't pass me by cheesy

5minsmadness, don't do that.
Confronting him directly will actually make you look like a weakling with no control over his woman. Like someone mentioned in the previous page, if a guy comes to confront me about his chic telling me to stay away from her, imma feel sad for him - that's like telling me you're scared of losing your chic and can't put her in check yourself.

Make friends with the guy and hangout more. You could invite him out for drinks, make sure your girlfriend is present as well.
Remember he doesn't know you know anything yet, you're the one in control and with the power/advantage.

Lol...I'm done typing. Can't be giving this advice to a man on this issue - you should know how to handle your chic and sh1t bro grin

Oh??

We aren't in the 16th century? Who says so? As far as your average Naija dude is concerned, wė're yet to enter the dark ages.

And as far as men are concerned with regards relationships, it's all about conquering. You lot do the chasing, pee on trees to leave your scent and mark off your territories from intruders.

@op's "friend" is a trespasser and needs to be put in place. And don't go making distinctions between girlfriends and wives. They're all fair game for you lot.

What are you going on about?
I am kinda lost...

Answer my question when you are sure of your stand... the one about the fighting girls, are they in the 16th century too or just being territorial, or just being Nigerians undecided
