sowii to bust your bubble, now aint the ryt tyme to buy nada, no sudden rise in stockprices anticipated as core investors have moved on (and watching if 9ja survives), its a long bearish season coming up, and stocks are gonna crash. we'll start buying dec/jan, with some folks chilling till feb, wen the prices are at the lowest and trapped folks are begging to get liquid. grin

Chief, from all indications, this looks like a very wrong time for new investors to invest in Nigerian bourse. The major players are exiting. For most firms, the volume of stocks on offer right now compared to the bids portends an enduring bearish season, and this would probably continue until the completion of the forthcoming election. Would you rather advise prospective or new investors like myself to hold our horses till rally commences, or better still, till election is about to end? Or are there stocks that can still endure the inherent bearish season?

In other news, seems you guys are not watching the index, it has touched 35,000 points today. The market is currently down 2.4%+. Anyone on the offer on Dangcem? Look at it and go figure where we are headed. The worst days are not here yet.

Dangcem finally felled by 5% and the index is down 4%+.

Dexterax:

Bruv......barring any unforseen events and forward-looking paragraphs, myself and a few others were waiting for oando at NGN 8.00. However, a friend was kind enough to shift the entry price to NGN 2.00.

My oga, if the 2 naira should happen by end of November 2014, I will close my eyes and allow it pass. Where is the NSE with the NGN0.01 plan?

I'm still holding Okomu Oil. I plan to load up more as it plunges.

In times like these, there's nothing like an illiquid stock. The slow movement of the stock would make a snail thankful.

Massive transfer of wealth going on and people are running away..

I have been buying just 2 stocks daily for the past 3 days...

100 units of FBN and 100 units of GTB

hopefully by the time the market bottoms out I would have liquidated my fixed deposits and also borrowed from my kids accounts to buy..

Disclosure: I can afford to hold for another 5 years!

Sir, the bear affect everyone and we have been on these road before. I choose strength above fear. So i have nothing to fear or worried about. And i will keep saying it, the detriment of fear have much severe effect when it comes to financial dealing which investment comprises of. As i always stated, one thing that is certain is that stock market go beyond our imaginations or predictions...IT IS WELL!

For instance, the same people that will sell FBNH for N9.96 will come back later and buy it for N18. So nothing to fear or worry about.
