Your bad grammar is testament to the falling standard of education under this inept PDP government. Go back to high school.

Some of the comments on these blogs show how little people understand the structure of the Nigerian Government. Actually most people who say GEJ has not performed and Fashola is wonderful have no clue what yardstick should be used.

E.g. you mention Education being poor under the PDP government. Well actually education is 95% administered by the States. All Primary and secondary schoools (except the Unity schools) are run by the State.

For instance if you want to evaluate Fashola's performance for education, check out Lagos state's performance in the last NECO. This is same for Health. The States manage public health. The Federal Government only runs the Federal Medical Centers in each state, all general hospitals, health centers etc. are run by the States.

So please lets be careful how we evaluate and rate FG vs State Govts.

My people, can you see how religion is going to rob us of good governance! I'm not saying Fashola is the only one that can do it but, he's tried and proven.

We in the SW need not join religion fanatics. We don't need religion, we just need to do the right thing!

Fella, I don't how astute you are politically but have you never heard it said that 'all politics is local'? By this principle, the success or otherwise of political office holders is directly interwoven with their ability to understand and influence the issues of their constituents.

Politicians must appeal to the simple and everyday concerns of those who elected them into office, no matter how mundane those concerns are. Those personal, seemingly mundane issues, more so than the lofty, intangible ideas, are what voters care most about, according to this principle. Some political analysts call such issues the bread and butter issues.

It is for this reason that when educational standard is evidently in decline in Nigeria as has been observed by most commentators, the buck ultimately stops at Jonathan's desk in Aso Rock. Afterall, the Federal Government remans responsible for formulating education policy in Nigeria. Or who would you hold responsible for students of tertiary institutions spending up to 9 months at home following the last ASUU strike? An adage says that the fish rots from the head down and I believe this is very apt in the rot Nigeria is currently experiencing. In fairness to you however, you have not really disputed my assertion that standards have fallen in our educational standard.

It is my hope that this clarifies things for you.

Where in that nonsensical write up does it say that Fashola has been disqualified? More so who is this faceless and nameless APC member that made the fabricated comment? Even if this were true, do you think APC would be so stup1d to show you dunderheads it's hand in this game?

APC is testing the acceptability of a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the southwest and from all indications, the Yoruba people careless even if it's Mohammed/Mohammed so APC knows the winning formula. Ibos' view on this matter does not count because we are not counting on your support!
Madam,I didn't say Fashola was disqualified by APC. I am from Kaduna for the records.

it's not actually about Muslim /Muslim candidates , the real problem is the northern born to rule ideology which Buhari is giving testament to.
At this stage we are in this country, we shud do away with which tribe rules, it shud be about competence and not tribe or religion..I don't care abt the tribe or religion who rule this country, all I want is good governance and if its an igbo man that will give me that I will vote for him if its an hausa man that can give me that I will vote for him

Apart from a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the party also has three other known presidential aspirants."

I hope obiageli can explain this.

I thought Okorocha is one them? he's name was not even mentioned, even Nda Isiah christian from the North, a party that is planning primary election already knows the religion that will likely get the ticket. Yet madame obiageli said the ticket was not zoned, maybe it was roamed to the north
Will Ibos vote Okorocha or Nda Isiah?

I understand your point of view but as it stands now in Nigeria we simply need emancipation from the great difficulty we are facing by jettisoning some protocols like religion or ethnicity.

Obasanjo and co got this so wrong buhari/fashola is a winning ticket. I have never voted in 9ja but with this I would have been a voter for the first time and do my own mobilization.

I think APC is loosing a golden opportunity.

But the fact remains that the Nigeria of 1993 is not the Nigeria of today...thanks to Jonathan. The president has succeeded in brainwashing some gullible Nigerians. The country has never been this divided...in terms of religion. I blame some so called christians.

I am a born again Christian but i didn't vote Jonathan in 2011 and i will still not vote him in 2015. I don't vote based on sentiments!!!

Learning is a continuum...we keep on learning everyday. Only that we are supposed not to keep on making the same mistakes.

It's clear that religion and ethnicity have not helped us at all.

Because MKO Abiola was a cult figure in the North, South, West and East parts of Nigeria. Hey was loved by even almajiris and non-muslims alike. Not tribalists and fanatics that parade themselves as elders and statesmen.

Agreed. MKO cut across all divides during his time.

But he never served Nigeria as a president or any other political position so we don't have yardstick to measure his competence as a leader Nigeria desperately needs.

We need someone who can deliver us from institutional corruption that has held us at the jugular, and if nothing is done urgently then our survival as a Nation is slim.

I am finally tired of Nigerians, I give up. I am taking all my money abroad and starting afresh with like minded people.

We deserve the leaders we get because we are a bunch of idiots focusing on religion and tribe, ignoring reputation, competence and integrity. I am tired of complaining because things never change. BH will diminish the north while corruption and Niger-Delta boys diminish the south. If you can, get the hell out of that country because there is no future after February 2015.

Nigerians are idiots being ruled by more idiots so if you are smart, get the hell out before it implodes. Bloody religious bigots...
