*scoffs*,nonsense, those things would be made fireworks by any competent airforce.
How many air forces use IRIS-T missiles?

Aren't air forces like the German Lufftwaffe and Swedish SWaF competent? They use it.

The IRIS-T is a serious missile, able to attack targets behind the aircraft.

But what I've since concluded about you is that, you're misinformed and your knowledge on military matters is very limited. You're only driven by patriotism. Soon I won't be replying to your st.... posts.

So tomorrow, i'm starting a nursery school numerical class for all south-africans on this thread.

I want you to prove to the rest of your soweto nation that you can count and keep records.

Erm, you cant read? Where does it say SAAF is broke?

Now I know why @Henry wants to open an elementary school to teach you South Africans at basic education level. Pity undecided

so much for the Su-30..

Not a closed case, Su-30 Flanker was seen in Nigeria same as Super Tucano but both in just very very few numbers.

However, with NAF going for 40 units of JF-17 Thunder, the Su-30 may be returned, same way India returned them.

Also as NAF is interested in 24 Scorpion jets, the Super Tucanos may be returned.

40 Thunders + 24 Scorpions, NAF may not really need 3 Flankers + 3 Tucanos anymore, anything could happen because of the new massive acquisitions of larger numbers of aircraft

But the problem is that, you're only buying 12

NAF is buying 25 to 40 units of JF-17 Thunder.

First 12 is drinking the appetizer, when we top 25 we eat main dish, at 40 units we swallow the dessert-sweet.

Junk Fighter has poorly copied Chinese versions of 20 year old radars and engines that dont have enough horsepower

Again, Junk Fighter is a poor mans F-16 B40

JF-17 Thunder has a new wave of ready buyers confirmed form London air show few days ago, Nigeria is just the first and fastest buyer.

Show me how the potential buyers' list is for poor men....including Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Algeria, Iran, etc, all are oil rich nations whose current air forces are far better than that of South Africa, flying Eurofighter Typhoons and latest brand new Su-30 MK Flankers, yet they all want JF-17 Thunder now

You are just butt hurt because the trend of this forum/topic/thread has suddenly turned against South Africa to give you a bad appetite during Christmas......Pity undecided Pity undecided Pity undecided

He read your post and decided to look the other way.....down memory lane I see Patches as the criminal who has been posting old time photos of dozens of A 109 LUH to deceive us that all the 30 helicopters are all flying today including the 4 that crashed ....LOL....all are still flying today.

Never trust a South African photo !

I can bet if someone would reveal the truth, only one South African navy frigate and submarine are fully operational today.

These Southie RSA guys tell lies a lot with old time photos that show us false pictures of reality as at today
.

The artical is pretty clear, the current grounding is due to paperwork being out of order and nothing else.

Lol, the Junk Fighter is comparable to the F16 Block 40, which entered service in the late 80's

First, no one said you would get 40, the number is 25-50, likely only 25 as Nigerian uses 12 plane squadrons

Second, there is no Su-30 or Tucano in Nigeria

Third, did you just pull the number of scorpions out of your bum?

Saudi is not looking to buy them, so that is a flat out lie.

And here is the official list of potential buyers, should we examine them?
http://thediplomat.com/2013/12/pakistan-begins-producing-block-ii-jf-17-aircraft/

- Azerbaijan: Poor
- Bangladesh: Poor
- Congo: Poor
- Egypt: Arms embargoes
- Indonesia (which has already signed an agreement with Pakistan): Poor
- Iran: Arms embargoes
- Nigeria: Poor, Arms embargoes
- the Philippines: Poor
- Sri Lanka: Poor
- Sudan: Poor
- Turkey: doubt it, they just orderd 100 F-35's from the US
- Venezuela: Arms Embargoes
- Zimbabwe: Poor and Arms embargoes

Wow, that is really an impressive list of buyers, all are 3rd world and the ones who have money are interested are only interested due to Arms Embargoes.
