Yet again you dont know what you are talking about

Kodani is being held by the Kurds against ISIS

Kobani was about to fall when the bombing commenced

Since the bombing has started it is still holding out despite being besieged on 4 sides, ISIS on 3 the Turkish border on the 4th

Kobani has turned into Stalingrad for ISIS with the loss of (realativly) massive ammounts of manpower and material with limited gains, while the FSA has been able to make inroads against ISIS in other regions and an ISIS offensive against Bagdad was stopped dead.

So, in actual fact, Kobani is a shining example of the effectiveness of PGM's and multi-role fighters deploying them

Clown.

Kobani has show Fighter Jets are useless in the CAS role.

Since the bombing began, the Turks have let in pershmerga fighters with heavy weaponry into kobani to assist the Kurds. Same Kurdist fighters the turks and U.S consider terrorists.

Since the bombings in kobani began by the USAF, Saudis, Emaratis and Australians, there have been over 500 air strikes on the town. Yet the Air strikes haven't pushed away the terrorist who still hold a significant part of the town. They've only succeed in halting their progress. For a small town like kobani, it is a military failure, halting their advance cannot be classified as a success. Towns have been over-run, and would still be taken back.

For bombardments to have commenced in over 2 months, yet their are terrorist still dug in, it means one of two, the targeting systems of the F/A18 and F-15E's are poor, or the uselessness of Fighter jets have again been brought to the fore in kobani.

So infact, the kobani example proves again, if you want to prosecute CAS, get a CAS asset.

Nope all 3 sources are about the gripen c/d just READ the sources PLEASE, i dont want to quote the sources for no reason when it clearly states that its about the gripen c/d.

All credible sources i've seen classify the Gripen as a 4th Gen fighter, while the E/F model as 4th+ / 4.5.

I agree 100% i think its a great buy, i really do, for the money its a very capable aircraft and the fact that its based on earlier mig models like the the j-7 makes it more familiar to NAF Pilots and mechanics dus easing maintenance, plus its a true swing/multi role fighter and can preform a wide range of tasks. And if a conventional war does brake-out then at least you have a very capable fighter instead of being stuck with COIN aircraft.

Bravo.

You are a true village idi0t my friend.
The source says as i quoted it before, the hms on the jf-17 is only used for targeting.

HMSD or HMS/D = HMS you cant have both only the one or the other

Technical definition says you can have both on one helmet. Fool !

Reason why I said you have cognitive learning defect, both HMS and HMD are technically combined to become HMSD or HMS/D and in modern aircraft both are sometimes called one name HMS, that's according to the source definition:

"A helmet-mounted display (HMD) is a device used in some modern aircraft, especially combat aircraft. HMDs project information similar to that of head-up displays (HUD) on an aircrew’s visor or reticle, thereby allowing him to obtain situational awareness and/or cue weapons systems to the direction his head is pointing. Applications which allow cuing of weapon systems are referred to as helmet-mounted sight and display (HMSD) or helmet-mounted sights (HMS)".

these islamic terrorists should be eradicated before they begin to learn how to fly military jets.they're already learning to use heavy tanks and SAMs,and ISIS recently developed a rifle that can propel bullets as big as human arms.its only a matter of time before they think of training to use jets.these guys have the time, resources and manpower for such training.

The Gripen is slightly faster than the Block 1. Nobody's buying the Block 1. The Block 2 flies at Mach 2.

The Gripen only has a hardpoint more than the block 1, Nobody's buying the block 1. The block 2 has more.

The JF-17 Avionics as it is are better, seeing the JF-17 operates an Open Architecture, it is even "more better". Same for E.W. The Block 2 has an air-air refuelling capability.

The JF-17 would blow the Gripen up on the run way in waterkloof. With an over 1360km combat range, you should better start peeing in your pants now.

It won't increase the number of pilots you have from 8 to 9, plus, you're too broke to acquire any smart bombs.

Everything makes the JF-17 better. You should be very afraid.

SAAF acquired GBU-12(s) to use on the Gripen.

Low level air defence, the inner tier of the layered air defence network is protected by CRAM capable guns.
With the Skyshield important infrastructure or bases can be fully protected against airborne threats.

Nigeria is buying NOTHING!!!! What are you hoping to achieve with 2 pilots.

The peace-time South Africa of today is a product of the war-time Angolan Bush war needs that were identified, today's South African military is built to fight a national army relatively as strong as Cuba with USSR supplied latest and best weapons.

War-time Nigeria is being built to fight Islamic terrorists, but if the threat is relatively the level of Cuba with USSR supplied weapons, you would have seen Nigeria buying anti-aircraft missiles with 400km range and cruise missiles with 1,000 km range.

Get it?
.
Go lie to some else.

During the war in Angola South Africa had 250 fighter aircraft, after the war or should say following the 98 defence review the numbers were reduced or replaced with 50 advanced fighter planes.

If what you're is the case SAAF would have 36 Rooivalks, taking delivery of indigenous twin engine fighter jets, maintaining nuclear weapons, developing ICBMs and more!!!

Southies are dreamers, they have obsolete Gripen C/D with 20 year old generation radars cheesy cheesy

Reason why Brazil refused to buy the SAAF's kind of old fashioned Gripen
.
To cut the story short.

Brazil announces a project to replace one type of their jets. Following normal procedures an RFI followed be request for proposal.

French, Swedish and American companies responded by proposing their aircraft from the Rafale, Super hornets to Saab Gripen NG.

The Gripen NG was chosen. Augubugubu is wrong again.

It is possible to upgrade the C/D Gripens to the E/F status. Around 2016 SAAF Gripens might be upgraded.

JF-17 engine is MiG-29 engine, and between MiG-21 and MiG-29 there are 3 different MiG series gone by !

Engine proves JF-17 is based on MiG-29 Fulcrum 4th generation fighter

I can show you one that proves you wrong :

"The official said, "This transfer of technology—transposing the aircraft systems from the J-10 to the JF-17—is what makes the JF-17 so cost-effective". The use of computer-aided design software shortened the design phase of the JF-17."

JF-17 is a mix of MiG-29 Fulcrum, J-10 Dragon, and the other newly created unique featured of JF-17 itself, like the never-seen-before wings
