while driving home, I spotted the proforce leopard ACV, a police leopard ACV with sirens.

I mean, the vehicle is much larger than these photos suggest.

I ended up cursing the Nigerian who suggested Pick-ups for N.A troops.

Ukrainian APC-4 were
Tested in the Battle of
Sloviansk: RPGs, Bullets, and Mine
Fragments.

Near Sloviansk the terrorists repeatedly hit
the new Ukrainian APC-4E with mortars but
it survived and is ready for a new battle.

Only that eastern Ukranians that hold their Russian heritage dear and refuse to submit to a murdering, nazi putsch regime are NOT terrorists....

Chief Henry,

I feel your pain, but understand there is always a role for soft skinned transport vehicles in every army. Only a handful of very rich countries can afford to put all their infantry in APC type vehicles. Even the US Army with its huge resources still uses the Humvee (even with the MRAPs recently introduced).

However, the crime is in the tactical naivete of soldiers who consistently allow themselves to stumble into the firing line still mounted on softskinned vehicles. The idea is to use the soft skinned vehicles up to the forming up areas and then dismount to attack.

The issue is that the NA still uses Hilux vans for fire support, whereas they need to mount heavier cannons on their Cobra, Igirigi, MT-LB Apcs etc. for the fire support role.

Man, I understand fully we cannot afford to have or run a fully mechanised infantry, but man, if you had seen this vehicle with the police, you'll also curse our Army planners.

I mean, the Army is so too slow to change. I know I can be an ultra-nationalist at times, but this has nothing to do with over-hype. The leopard ACV was quite menacing. It is almost as large as the Otokar cobra.

I agree completely with "the crime", it is in that role, I have the most problem with the hilux. I don't blame the soldiers though, it is difficult to predict an ambush.

I've consistently maintained that the Igirigi should replace our LAV and hilux in actual combat support role, seeing the ACV in actual operations, it should be included.

Awesome I'm inlove with the super hind upgrades, I wish S.A would get a couple of these and at least use them as reserves.

Are they the Super-Hind Mk-3 just like the ones Algeria got??

They both use the 9mm round.

I'm afraid you're wrong. The P90 uses 5.7x28mm rounds, same rounds used as the FN Five - Seven pistol. It does not use 9mm rounds.

The BTR-4E is Nigeria's single most important asset procured to deal with this insurgency. It is more important than the Helos, T-72AV's, beryls and Igirigi.

We bought the most advanced BTR-4E in the market, the shakval module.

Crew: 1
Armament:
Automatic gun 1 x 30mm – 360rds stored
Grenade launcher 1 x 30 mm – 150rds stored
Machine gun 1 x 7.62 mm – 2000rds stored
Anti-tank missile system 9P135M Konkurs or Baryer - 2 missiles stored

It can swim and carries up to 9 fully armed troops. It's an amazing combat support vehicle, and like you, I hope we ordered at least 120 of these. Until we know actual figures, nobody at this stage knows how many we ordered.

Well, its a great asset

But you have made some mistakes.

The BTR-4 fitted with the Grom capusle is the most advanced. Yours is fitted with the SHKVAL module

Yours are devoid of ATGM's

And the grenade launcher is optional and if fitted is fitted in the place of the ATGM's

Its a big step up for the NA. Now you guys just need to order a couple hundred of them to ensure logistical unfiromity and strength in depth

Hind does not suite our doctrine.

And its not significantly cheaper to run than the Rooivalk

It's an Amazing up-grade. They most probably are the same up-grades the Algerians got.

I honestly don't think 11 Attack Helos are even close to being enough for protecting a country of our Size, Super-Hind could be used as a temporal Solution to fill in that gap, plus I heard ATE bought a significant number of them so delivery would happen within a few months, if our government was serious about reopening the Rooivalk factory then they should have done it a long time ago, France is not the only country that Manufactures the parts we need, there plenty of other countries that could help us.

I wish they would just post a pic of the entire Helicopter.
