Where is your military intel? How do you not spot 1000 armed men? Your "UAV's", satellites, special forces, "recon" teams didnt know 1000 men were nearby? Then what was the point of that base? Target practice for Boko Haram? Such a useless attempt by you....lol.

They came from inside Chad, and the base attacked was on Chadian side of the border, a multinational army base for joint ops, Nigeria is not flying surveillance aircraft inside Chad you dumbo !

North East Nigeria alone is bigger than the whole of Great Britain, talk less of adding Chad to it.

Illiterate you are, failed geography in school grin

yeah.the west african slave trade route.greedy traditional kings sold out their own subjects in exchange for rifles to wage more wars of conquest and cotton shirts to amuse themselves and impress rivals.
Yes, Bantu tribes under strong warrior minded kings never experienced such.

fact:
one Apache can beat down a squadron of rooivalk.
They're attack helicopter.

Their air to air combat capability is very limited.

But if an Apache and a Rooivalk were deployed for a certain mission, the Rooivalk would be favoured for its light logistics, availability etc.

The Apache is only better in terms of avionics, sensors etc

People in those countries are disaffected in many ways.

Somalia for instead Al shabaab wouldn't be able to recruit many people if the country was stable with a strong government.

Socio-economic problems cause such conflicts.

How do you spot terrorists in an area equal to the United Kingdom in size?

Um...it can be equal to the surface area of Mars for all i care. Eventually they will group up when preparing to attack. How do you NOT spot them at that point? Or did they attack one by one and still deafeat your army?

Same way BTR-4 is modular and can be up-armoured, so what?
.
So Nigeria doesn't have an industry to carry out such upgrades.

Photos show so many bullet holes on the walls of SANDF base, and your own soldier @Andrewza boasted here about SANDF killing Seleka men that climbed over the walls.

You see how fraudulent you people are?
So?

The troops were ambushed, they tried to investigate what was going on towards Damara.

The base came under attack. But remember not all the soldiers were in the base, they(Seleka) were allowed to climb to represent them selves as easy targets as ammo was starting to be seriously low.

Seleka couldn't get the main body of its force into the city.

I've told you. The A.O is equal to the size of the U.K. It is going to be difficult to spot the enemy with limited surveillance assets at the disposal of the military.

The Nigerian military has a combined UAV fleet of about 12 - 14 assets top. For the AOR it is very insufficient. Funny how all the news have been about baga, when scores of insurgents where killed in babangidda town in yobe state on the same day.

The media continues to give boko-haram a larger than what they actually are posture.

In cameroun in Cameroun Dagmee, Soueeram. Amchide and Ashigashiya are under siege.

The fact is the AO is quite large, it is virtually impossible to spot each and every one of these attacks, helped in no small part by the media which deliberately ignores gains made by security agencies, while overhyping B-H attacks.

A remote FOB in lake chad been attacked by over 1000 insurgents would be overrun.

No question.
The SANDF soldiers protected their FOB and town in the DRC.

Your operational 6 C-130s couldn't fly in supplies and reinforcements?

Your special operations forces' quick reaction force refused to aid their comrades?

Your 100 hinds couldn't fly to offer close air support?

Your combat jets don't have pilots on standby during a war?

Your air force and army operate independently?

Guys, don't waste your time arguing with these Southies who only read and paste anti-Nigeria sentiments. We know what is happening and what the agenda is.

As already stated, there is a deliberate attempt to ignore the daily success of the Nigerian Military by the anti-government press at home and abroad (we all know the publications in question) and blow out of all proportion BH attacks to make them appear credible.

We will all see over the next few weeks what will happen and the sudden amnesia that will befall these publications.

South Africa during the boarder had large are area to protected. Indian to the Atlantic Ocean.

But freedom fighters knew that if they entered Angola and attacked a village or installation Koevoet or other units would track them down as deep as inside Angola.

Your military are just giving excuses, by this whole "NE" is a huge area.

And oh!! Know one cares when bad guys die, but give attention when poor innocent civilians are slaughtered.

A remote FOB would get attacked, and most likely get overrun if an enemy numbering over a thousand attacks it.

Nope, if troops stand their ground air support can arrive in less than 30 mins.

But your troops offer no resistance, no fight, no bark, no flexing, no courage.............

Your commanders don't plan where to fall back to, when encountering heavy fire?

Your 10000000000 C-130s can't air drop supplies and airbourne paratroopers from quick reaction forces? SBS cowards?

Your Alpha, F-7 and Hinds pilots are not on standby but Nigeria is at war?

Your military can't move its forces in order to apply kinetic energy?

What does this say about positioning? Regarding your military?

Not impressive knowing other better vehicles in its crowded class.

It simply means assets are deployed to areas where they are most required.

Remote FOB's can be allowed to be overran while the army re-strategies and lays siege t on the area.

Better than the RG-32. The RG-32 should be compared with the Proforce PF2 MK2.

RG-35 isn't in the same class as the Igirigi. They are both clearly different vehicles.

The Reeva, marauder, nyala are the same as the Igirigi.

The mountain lion is an MRAP, again, not in it's class.

Yes, no one cares when bad guys die. Especially in some country in west Africa. But will give attention when soldiers abandon their positions and civilians are massacred as a result.

Southern Africa Freedom fighter were well trained. Training came from Soviet union, Ukraine, East Germany, Angola, Ugandan, Mozambique etc.

Southern Africa freedom fighters were supplied by the Soviet union and its
allies. Advisors slept, ate, died and planned with them.

The first bunch of the Mk were trained in Algeria, the Algerian that time had just came out of an hard hitting insurgency against France.

What's BH fighter compared to a Cuban soldier, SWAPO fighter, MK fighter, ZANU fighter, Russian soldier, Korean Soldier, Freelimo soldier, ZAPU fighter, AZAPO fighter, FAPLA soldier?

If you see white men with an accent you can't recognised from tv, scream :"Finally!!! You came brothers"
