primary pupils..it almst the same as that for secondary bt please ensure u make use of instructional materials.they are vry important..
And i will advice u use the Roleplay or demonstration method...
Remember they are kids,lecture method wont be effective

The only reason why I agreed to the offer was that I will only work there for some days to gain more experience before I go to their secondary section, but the way am seeing things now, they don't want me to leave the Kg section. I plan to quit tomorrow because i can't cope with the children any their parents wahala again.

Teaching toddlers is tough, i hope you have lots of patience. If the money isn't much you might have to reconsider.

Bro... teaching little children is a different ball game cos u need all d creative abilities God gave you to deliver an effective teaching. Lemme ask you,do you know how to sing very well? I was once a school Administrator in a Nur/Pri School.My ppu no be joke o,I quit d job after 4 months on d job.Though d salary was attractive but I was nt aware dat little kids can b dat troublesome! Not to talk of tolerating d intolerable troublesome parents.

Great Educators ! Great minds! I have been following this thread for a while now and it has been beneficial to me in the area of knowledge. I have applied for some relevant vacancies, and I am still expecting to get a text message or a call... I am hopeful. Thank you so much to all those wonderful gentlemen and ladies on this thread. I need help and I need it urgently pls, any one who can help. I bagged my NCE cert from FCE(sp) , Oyo and after that, I got admitted in Unilorin where I studied Performing Arts. I have about 3 years teaching experience in English language and Lit-in-English, however , I love teaching and I want to get more certified in this area to boast a better prospects . please, I want a your advice on what Professional Course(s)to go for and how to go about the registrations. Hmmm, I don't really know o as I'm not a trained teacher. I teach pry 1 pupils and as u said its maths, i make use of sticks for tens and units, oranges cut into 2 to show halves, sheets of paper too,etc etc.

Then the usual rule the board in 2, write date n all that.
