GTB rates are quite high. I think it's more cost-efficient to just open a UK account and have your folks transfer all the money into it. I should know. I used a GTB card, switched to Stanbic and eventually had to transfer money from my Nigerian banks to a UK bank. Just imagine how hard it must have been for me to transfer from Nigeria to UK while staying in the UK.

Good day friends,

Pls how best can i apply and get a job here. I live in Cranfield and school in Cranfield University (MSc on scholarship) but want to do some hustling to make some extra cash while I study.

Cranfield is a less commercial village in terms of activity, what make it is the university presence. A more busy neighbourhood is Milton Keynes.

I have tried getting a job but have not yet gotten any. Any help guys on how best to go about it?

Most scholarships and how to get them are advertised online. NLNG, AJIP, NNPC/MOBIL, NDDC, name them. Even the Commonwealth you mentioned. So you have to keep your fingers crossed and make good use of the internet you have to get what you want. Plus prepare for the test(s) and/or the interview(s) that may follow.
Best wishes.

Greetings to the house, please I applied for nursing to five schools through UCAS for march 2015, so far I've gotten three reply and the three out of d five z unsuccessful. I called a representative of one school in Nigeria and she told me dat no UK university accepts international student for nursing, pls how through is that?
Again, she said that there's nothing lik school starting in march for undergraduate studies, dat it's only in September, is it true? she equally said that I can't get any undergraduate admission without a foundation class for a year, pls someone should help me out of dis dilemma, pls **tears***

Studying nursing in the UK is usually free and only entitled to students that have recourse to public funds, because it's funded by the NHS.
Session usually has two entry periods(Sept & Jan).
I hope your questions are answered?

Information that you could have found by using Google search!

International students wishing to register and work in the UK nursing profession are required to complete the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP) as part of their studies.

I really don't think that foreign students are offered nursing courses in the UK as its funded by NHS.

Hardly any school start admission in March, its Sept or Jan.

Yes you can get undergraduate admission without doing foundation course for one year, if your English language is not good enough many schools will enroll you in a module like English language for communication, it will be just extra module in your first year, you do it the same time with your first year degree modules.

Simply Google job agencies in cranfield and call them. You can also network with your fellow students, check notice boards and speak to student services.
