The initial performance of the dish before it was dented will tell you if you need to cover it with another pan...as for the lnb it should be able to at least give good signal on regional tp before deciding if to replace it with another lnb..if it is not doing well on fringe reception!if the dish is good even an offset lnb will do well on 10992_7.3west! it will give up to 98% on the tp!since you are using 3.3m dish..unless on weak fringe transponders!so count lnb out for now!

cheers![/quote thank u sir.the dish was made by a man dat have made dish for gurus in this forum.d dish came like dat.d maker confirmed he tested it before delivering.i belive him because i have seen some of his works.he has done dish up to 4m.i think d dish was not properly handled by those transporting it.i believe dat was where d dish got dented.i have a feeling dat if i change d circle at d center.all will be well.let me explain it to u.a cirle pan was placed at d middle then cut to accomdate the six petals.the center was not part of the cirle d six petal made.so a circle pan was made and pined.and then cut into segments.those segment now make the center of the dish that is dented.so if i remove those circle pan dat was cut to make the segment will look like a pan was placed to cover d segment.although i will get in touch with the dish maker for further instrution.the whole senarion has been a great experience for me.sucess dont come easily. realy thank u qnd all other guru.but advice is still needed.GOD bless u sir

@ 82 percent here no cracks..it is always the weather responsible for that not electricity.

Sunene, concerning your irib cracking whenever u put on your gen. can't really say what is causing it but from experience jus move DAT generator further away and it should b fine. See one day I was fine tunning my My Irib signal from 70% to 75% I was almost hitting it on my 1.8 meter offset dish at DAT time..Suddenly there was a power cut luckily my inverter kicked in and I continue working ...Gbam got my signal to 74% and as I was about to call it a day my neighbor suddenly put on his 3.3kva generator, behold my irib signal started dancing Asonto and cracking badly..at first I just kept staring at d dish and wondering what d hell was going on, immediately I called him and begged him to turn off his generator for 2 mins..he did and behold my signal became steady again., I told him switch it on again and almost with immediate effect my signal started cracking seriously again. so my advice move your gen away, apart from gen even telecom Mast can make you not to get irib signal at all.

Bros guide me on how to track that ses5 pls, am not a pro, but I've been able to nail dstv, multitv and amos5. A hint on how to move the dish from Amos 5 position and the best tracking to will be helpful.

Don't be too quick to condemn that dish.Although you didn't mention the name of the guy who fabricated your dish but I suspect he may be the same person who made my own 4m dish. Curiously, I had almost the same kind of problem with mine which came about also during transportation.Seems to me that those drivers who run that route are too careless and do always rough handle goods put in their care.My own dent affected almost two or three of the segments and were so big that I instantly lost confidence in the dish ability to track even DTH signals not to talk of out-of-footprint ones. However, when I talked to my man he assured me there was no problem.Also luckily for me I had taken the proactive step of asking him to come over so we could do a joint installation. So I waited for him to arrive. When he came, what he did was to use a small hammer to gently tap all the affected segments in order to straighten them out.After that we repainted the entire dish and allowed it to dry.The second day we started coupling and proceeded to tracking. And the rest is now history as they say.
Two years and counting, the performance of the dish has never dropped apart from the occasional issues with weather which affects about every other dish.
I don't know the full extent of your dish dent but you can learn from my own experience and try similar methods to remedy the situation.

@GEORGE D.thank u very much.i have never for once written the dish off.i knew the shortcoming could come from me.i read back past work which he did including urs.when u replaced ur 3m firber with 4m pan.i had a chat with him.based on wat he told me today.he said the dented center is of no significant.dat the dish will still perfom.d problem i had was dat of focal lenght.the focal lengh i used initially was wrong.i made d mistake of not asking.he told me wat i need to do.so i will put it to work tommorrow and let u know how far.the problem is how to get heavy duty jack.he was d person dat fabricated urs.he knows is onion when it comes to dish making.he is very good.i have trust in his work.so i will do wat he ask me to do.and thank u again.i noticed u changed ur lnb inverto to fuji four ways.if i may ask.why.
