iterator24: LOL what do the "projections" say about INFRASTRUCTURE and standards of living in Nigeria? Do you think Sweden sits crying about the list? All countries ever needs are enough money for their lot. That's the only objective of economic activity. And have enough Nigeria does not and will not. Do you wish to see your population growth projections? Probably not. Mexico, Pakistan, Nigeria - all countries in the same boat. Massive populations and low standards. Mass exodus to other countries as well. Top contributors of immigrants. |

DieVluit:lol, derailment upon derailment, little countries like Sweden don't count. What's her population again? Should be under 10 million i guess. Matter of fact if not for EU, Russia would have annexed little countries like Sweden, Finland and co. Anyways, Mexico is about 80 million, Indonesia 2hundred and something?, Nigeria 180, where on earth is that over population? Your country by all projections is irrelivantly redundant economically and she will fade into oblivion in the near future. High time your presido came to the synagogue. He shouldn't forget to bring Julius Malema and co even though he belongs to another party now. 1 Like |

And then when you are done, enjoy the following: - "And how could there ever be enough to eat if everyone had twenty young" _Hyoi, Out of the Silent Planet. That, my friend, is the story of Nigeria and its GDP. Tell me if you want a picture of your population growth curve posted. And I ask again - do you think Sweden sits crying about the list? 1 Like

mzilakazi:wow!,you must have consulted sangomas to pull out this analysis once again.even your most vaunted source, the world bank, has made a projection that nigeria will be in top 10 economies by 2050,with south africa nowhere to be found.we are growing our infrastructure and middle class at a surging rate....remember,china is the number 1 economic power on earth, yet it is the country with the highest number of poor people in the world.like lezz said, you are a renown wizard.how do you do,oh great sangomas?! 1 Like |

EVarn: Yes, there is greater power to shout in a loud voice when starving. I have never seen such a rubbish post in my life. You could, of course, prove that it is not rubbish via posting proof - which you will NEVER post. Already, at 180 million, Nigeria has a large population and its poverty rates and infrastructure deficit are high. Already, your own official said you cannot reach South Africa electricity generation numbers because of the amount of money involved. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/daily/news/46468-uninterrupted-electricity-impossible-in-nigeria-now-nebo ||||||| Uninterrupted electricity impossible in Nigeria now—Nebo Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, says it is impossible to provide constant, uninterrupted electricity to everyone in Nigeria in the near future. Speaking with newsmen in London over the weekend, the minister said: “Nobody in the world can provide 24/7 electricity everywhere in Nigeria”, adding that 160,000 megawatts would be needed to do that. The current capacity is 4,500 megawatts. “The cost of providing electricity per megawatt on average is $2billion. To get to where South Africa is, you will need about $3.2trillion (about N672trillion). Where will you find that kind of money?” he asked. In addition to the huge amount of money involved, Prof. Nebo said power projects also take time to come to fruition, stressing that it takes between four and six years to deliver the power projects. 1 Like |

DieVluit:"massive population" ? That's looks like population problem to me and none of the aforementioned countries have population problem. Why do you keep talking about population curve? Are you shying to use the word over populated? By all projections, the future is bright and the Nigerian band is banging .....lol. Talking about Sweden, I think she would have been a power broker in Europe and the world if she had the right population. Now she'll be only relevant under the "collective" power of the EU which is steered by Germany who "coincidentally" has roughly the same standard with Sweden but enjoys higher population; 80 million roughly with Mexico you touted. Let's face it, the West never thought globalization would resort to 3rd world countries with huge markets (population)becoming economic and industrial empires. It has become the fate of China India Brazil Indonesia Nigeria Turkey Mexico Russia. That's why today's billionaires and millionaires are emerging from these countries. And apart from the economical gains, there's is global political power play. Hehe, Come the time for a permanent UN security seat..... I laugh in a junkie frenzy of Bantu accent. 1 Like |

lezz: Just one picture bra. And then just one quote: The current capacity is 4,500 megawatts. “The cost of providing electricity per megawatt on average is $2billion. To get to where South Africa is, you will need about $3.2trillion (about N672trillion). Where will you find that kind of money?” he asked. And your GDP is already pegged at higher that South Africa's, but you don't have enough money to get where we are.

DieVluit:we are growing our infrastructure to meet future demands,we currently have over 30 local airports and 5 international airports,we have a 3400km standard and double-guage railway,we have a 120km monorail,we have 60 000km tarred surface roads in nigeria,we have free trade zones, industrial complexes, national and international trade centres in abuja,we will a 40 000MW generation capacity by 2020 when all the numerous power plants come on stream.all these massive infrastruction are barely used by nigerian yet, they are infrastructures for a teeming population. 1 Like |

EVarn: Growing infrastructure? Every country in the world has a growing infrastructure. It is your INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT that is the issue. And the fact that you don't even have the money to get to South Africa's level says it all. Your "big" GDP is not enough bra. And that is the only point. |

lezz: Dream on, I hope God answers your prayers. BRICS will still stand firm above MINT even in the year 3000. Your views are merely advanced by the right groups who are merely scared of the leftist growing power which seems to thrive despite all the challenges. Their only hope is now rest on MINT to challenge BRICS and neutralise them from deleting G8 out of the league of being seen as important. Their fear is China. |

DieVluit:does even the world bank have $3.2trillion to lend us?,have your country even smelt a whooping $3.2trillion in your existence?.he said, for us to generate 160 000MW of power,we need $3.2trillion,an amount which no country on earth can spend at one go. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:42am On Feb 13, 2015 |
EVarn: Your own official said: "Impossible....to get where South Africa is, you need..... where will you get that kind of money" Your own official. So who are you? You don't have the money, my man. You have too many mouths to feed; and you always will.

EVarn: $3.2 trillion you have accepted you can't get. $3.2 trillion which shows how big the INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT is. $3.2 trillion for power alone. Exactly! Meaning that once you add other things, the amount is even higher. You are up shyte's creek without a paddle, mate. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:50am On Feb 13, 2015 |
DieVluit:he didnt say that its impossible to reach 'SA level',he said that "to reach SA's level we need funds,to surpass SA's level and generate 160 000MW,we need $3.2trillion".you dont have that kind of money, the world bank doesnt, even the US doesnt. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:51am On Feb 13, 2015 |
EVarn: He said to get where South Africa is, you need $3.2trillion. You can't surpass South Africa's level if you can't get where it is. EVarn: Exactly! So, Nigeria will never get that kind of money for power. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:53am On Feb 13, 2015 |
DieVluit:you think that we can consume 160 000MW as at now?,even SA that has a bigger industry, operates below 50 000MW.that 160 000MW figure was a future projection,to augment our surging economy and population. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:55am On Feb 13, 2015 |
EVarn: You can't consume that which you don't have. You generate approximately 4000 MW. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 10:57am On Feb 13, 2015 |
DieVluit:to get to where SA is?,by the way,where is SA?,you are generating barely 40 000MW of power,our minister was mentioning 160 000MW of power!,so do the mathematics,hasnt that surpassed you?,is 40 000MW bigger than 160 000MW? |
