Rather sad the extent GEJ would go to get votes.....Lagos State PDP is run by an ex-convict, Ogun State PDP by an indicted drug baron. Another indicted felon is running for a senatorial seat in Bayelsa, the governor of Ekiti State had charges dropped, same for the campaign director of the president and we are meant to ignore all these and cast our vote for him still! Lots of heads need examination!!! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Just examine the characters of those attacking Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. They are all political hypocrites and parasites. PDP did make OBJ great, because before 1999 he was already highly esteemed as founder of the Africa Leadership Forum (ALF) since 1988. The following facts on OBJ are more than enough to silence the intellectually retarded people saying rubbish about him, including the cultists leading the PDP to destroy Nigeria in their evil greed for power and multimillion dollar contracts and they don't give a damn about the masses who don't know how evil they are. How many of them have achieved the following: The primary focus of ALF is to help improve the current quality of leadership in Africa while at the same time helping to train the next generation of leaders for the continent. ALF provided the first forum where leaders could meet and exchange experiences with the view to improving their performance. ALF has spearheaded regional and continent-wide initiatives such as the Conference on Security, Stability, Development and Cooperation (CSSDCA),now a standing conference of the African Union, and the Africa Women's Forum. Within Nigeria, ALF holds programs such as the Farmhouse Dialogs that allow participants on both sides of important and/or controversial issues to sit down together and discuss their concerns. In 2001 ALF opened a new secretariat in Benja Village, Ota, Ogun State. This new complex includes a large conference hall, a digital library, Internet cafe, and training rooms. ~ http://www.africaleadership.or... Ironically it was the much maligned President Olusegun Obasanjo that did most to reintegrate Igbos. He appointed Igbos to head the ministry of finance, Central Bank of Nigeria, and the Director-General of the Nigerian StockExchange was also Igbo (Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Charles Chukwuma Soludo and Ndidi Okereke-Onyuike). Heading these three portfolios virtually left Igbos in control of Nigeria’s economy and monetary policy. That economic dominance remains as today Okonjo-Iweala has returned as Finance Minister, and Bright Okogu is the Director-General of the Budget Office. In addition, Obasanjo appointed Fabian Osuji, Chinwe Obaji and Obiageli Ezekwesili (all Igbos) in succession as the Minister of Education, and Dora Akunyili as the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control. Later, Obasanjo broke a taboo by appointing an Igbo: Thomas Aguiyi-Ironsi (the son of Nigeria’s first military head of state, Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi) as the Defence Minister. After Obasanjo left office his successor President Yar’Adua appointed Mike Okiro to become the first Igbo Inspector-General of Police in Nigeria’s history. When Okiro retired, he was succeeded by another Igbo – Ogbonnaya Onovo. Yar’Adua also appointed Ojo Maduekwe as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.~ http://www.gamji.com/article90... "Olusegun Obasanjo was Nigeria's military head of state (1976-9) and President (1999-2007). His career is made the focus for a history of Nigeria's first fifty years of independence (1960-2010) and of African continental affairs during the same period (Obasanjo having been an active opponent of apartheid and an architect of the African Union). The most important African leader of his generation, Obasanjo has had an extraordinarily diverse career as soldier, politician, statesman, farmer, author, political prisoner, Baptist preacher, and family patriarch. As a soldier, he secured the victory in Nigeria's civil war. As military head of state, he returned the country to civilian rule." ~ John Iliffe is a Fellow of St John's College, Cambridge. ℓ☺ℓ......Obj and his talks sha. He wasn't a drug baron when you brought him to limelight, he wasn't a drug baron when he was eating pounded yam and sleeping in you parlor, he wasn't a drug baron when he was running all your errands causing all sorts of discomfort in our state. But now that the man has come of Age and he feels he no longer owes you anything, he is now a drug baron.... I laugh in swahili to this state called Nigeria.....we need to start thinking different. Say No to those that still feel they need to control us. Obj was 39 when he became president but he won't allow sm1 young to become president now. Tell me is that not Hypocrisy |

I wonder how we forget in a hurry. This same Obj up till now has not been able to tell Nigerians the whereabout of N16 billion purportedly spent on the power sector during his tenure. He was the one that institutionalized corruption and made it core value in Nigeria. It's on record that Obj once told his newly appointed Special Advisers that he wasn't duty bound to accept their advice. Then, why is he calling for President Jonathan's head for not accepting his advice. I believe that Obj is the worst hypocrite this country has ever produced. He made sure that the National Assembly members that opposed his third term ambition never returned to the assembly. President Goodluck Jonathan inherited insurgency from the Obasanjo administration. Why didn't Obasanjo nip insurgency on the bud when it was at its primary stage. I think it's time for Obj to shut up so that he will have some respect left. Nigerians are tired of his rantings. He is corruption personified and is not even qualified to be an elder statesman. 1 Like |
