Considering ur story or labour wic eventually weaned off, they sshld hv augmented for u or rather let u stay in d hosp for continuous observation instead of sending u home. Wit wat u r feeling, don't hesitate to go back to d hosp,u nid gud maternal and child monitoring and care. All the best

its a federal teaching hospital...the SR and regs on duty tinks its best I go home,even when we called my consul,he said I shd see him on thursday...
My husband dsnt want dem to augment labor too(he is a Dr in d OnG dept too)..

Well, I need help ohh, I am about 18weeks and i still vomit, total loss of appetite, sleep problem, fatique. I believe the headache, tiredness and lack of sleep is normal even though I am in my second trimister, but my issue is the vomiting of very yellow abi green fluid with no food substance at all. please is this normal help pls

Prepare Ur mind. That sh*t hurts!!! But it depends on the type they do for you. I had one done during my last pregnancy and for about four hours, I was there in pain. After the stuff they put in came out, we waited for 6hours and nothing! I was then induced cos I was not contracting at all. But Ur own case should be different, since u re already dialating. And it wouldn't take long I guess

Welcome. I think its part of the package. If Ur vommiting is usually in the morning when u be had nothing to eat then that colour is fine "I think" but did u test for malaria or typhoid?
Meanwhile try to rest as much as possible. Some women have morning sickness all thru the pregnancy. And drink lots of water too..

Love ds forum, wsh all d preggies a successful delivery. Just bcame a mum for d first time 4mnths ago n it's a wonderful experience. Had a normal delivery n chose induction cos my baby was getting very big,so d doctor asked me to choose a date n come for induction. Was nervous on d D-day but labour came n progressed really fast n b4 I knew it, my daughter arrived. Though it was painful, but it's also a wonderful experience.especially wen u hold dem for d first time. Baby was 4.2kg.

welcone dear. I think u shld discuss those side effects wt ur dr. U may need to discontinue d drug. If possible, seek a 2nd opinion. I had painless contractions early too, bt didnt use salbutamol.

I had to send my MIL back to her place after I suffered in her hand. I ate biscuit and tea for a week after delivery cos of my hand pain which didn't allow me cook and MIL no cook for me. now I ve left lagos for ibadan(my papa house) wen I couldn't bear the wahala alone. So please bear with me. I'm writing it in bits and hopefully by next tomorrow I will post it. Thanks fir the mentions and messages.

I fell into labour when I was 26weeks.... Bad painful contractions and all that but I was given IV and lots of injections and was admitted as well.
The drugs I was given were just to prevent .e from throwing up cos of reactions to the too many injections. Complain to you doctor about how that drug makes u feel. And pls rest a lot. With twins comes risks. Meanwhile the painless contractions may just be braxton hicks. Google the term to make u understand better

I've heard of the OKA thing. My MIL suggested my 2nd dd had it when we were nursing her. And her opinion was for us to use agbo (herbs) for her. At first I agreed, but when I saw the herbs, I declined. And I used Gripe water for her and she was feeding well.
I don't know if that oka thing can be treated in the hospital cos I don't even know the English name.

sorry ma. thank God u took the decision to be wt ur pple. firstly u need to eat well as d mother so dt ur milk will be feeling to ur baby. the OKA thing is nt believed by medical doctors but from my own understanding n research it does exist n presently its only herbs dt can cure it. May God b wt u.

The heat is serious ooo, @31wks plus, to walk na wahala,getting so tired lately. I was climbing the overhead bridge today on my way to the market & at a point I have to sit on the stairs for like 10mins to ease the pains on my legs & the tiredness before I could continue my journey, see the way people were passing & looking at me, me no just send anyone at that moment o. Mehnn it isn't easy o. God will see us through

I'm really tryin as much as i can to rest.I knw of braxton hicks contraction,but i think it's too early. BTW,wot's IV? tnks 4 ur response

I was having similar pain in my lower abdomen throughout yesterday(like menstrual cramps kind of) and I'm 25wks. I just noticed dt it has reduced today. I pray all is well.

D truth s dat d dr i was using then gv me salbutamol, i wasnt so comfortable so sought a 2nd opinion. D 2nd dr told me i may nt b needing it, dat i shld tk it only if d contractions become painful and den report to d hsptl. D contraction never became painful before term so i didnt tk d drug.

Pele, I know its not easy. Try zobo with GINGER, it might not totally eradicate it,but it will help reduce the frequency&make sure you brush or gaggle with minty toothpaste after each vomiting episode.
Reason being that the bile being thrown up erodes the teeth enamel after a prolonged period, I never linked the extra gaps that emerged in my dentition to vomitting throughout kid 1 & 2's pregnancy till I stumble on the info online.

@beedam,
I feel for you on the no mum situation cos my mum becomes my glorified maid after childbirth. Do you have a close aunt or sis? On the oka thing, I am of the opinion that.
A) baby might be colicky or
B)your milk isn't filling cos you weren't getting adequate nutrition and therefore the milk production may be impacted.

Discontinue any medication that presents any uncomfortable side effect & ask for a 2nd opinion, I was placed on dat drug when I had this kind of episode but it was for a few days.
