BH,should use his old way of Cleaning I mean with his brooms to clean from his 1-10 of his corrupt party leaders first.APC people should know we are in 21st century where Cleanings are done with meachines. They will send Nigerian s to backward thinking. uote author=xrisdon post=31572731]Buhari promised to kill corruption if elected! http://leadership.ng/news/417280/ill-kill-corruption-in-nigeria-buhari But here is my personal submission..... buhari can never kill corruption!!! he couldn't kill corruption when he had absolute power as military dictator, but think he can do it now as a constitutional president, what a joke!!! first, buhari do not know how to fight corruption! supposing he did know, Nigeria would have been corrupt free by now, because buhari was once a head of state! secondly, l prefer Gej's way of fighting corruption to that of buhari! buhari believes in fighting corruption by jailing people with little or no care on the root cause! while Gej on the other hand believes in building corrupt free system that can last even when he is no longer there!! but unfortunately most Nigerians prefer action with no result, for instant, do you know how many people buhari would have sent to jail because of fertilizer scam without solving the problem itself! but Gej came in change the corrupt system that have been there for years even to the time of buhari, But now it is impossible for corrupt people to operate with the new system without making too much noise about it. Stating the obvious problem of corruption in Nigeria (a problem common with all past administrations, Buhari's inclusive) is not anything to applaud but what you are offering as a solution is what matters. In any sane democratic setting, an unrepentant coupist dictator and murderer with an unforgivable human rights records is not qualified to handle any public office. To even think that these people (Buhari supporters) think they are elites and refined while their opponents are touts make me even more confused. 1 Like

Op, one thing you are not considering in the past millitary administrations is the fact that none of them was an administrator, they grab power as opportunity presents. Why do you think all of them want to come back and rule as a democrat apart from the juice to be squizzed? Anyway as per the GMB system of fighting corruption, it may work well this time because of his running mate. PYO is an administrator that I believe can stabilize things by book as a policy maker. Need to say also, that GMB's approach of jailing will work too cuz Nigeria at dis stage needs somone to instill fear as well for things to change in this nation. What you should look out for is the combination of the DUO. |

I was hoping to see something that will make sense but this does not make a bit of sense to me. There is an adage in Yoruba that says "ika to ba jale ni abe n ge" that means which ever finger that steals the knife cuts. Look at Ghana today, how did they curb corruption? they did that by killing all the corrupt elites. Look at china today, who ever that is in charge of public office found guilty of corruption is sentenced to death by hanging or firing squad. 1 Like |

Death sentence for armed robbery is still part of our laws, yet robbery did not stop even becoming more daring. Obasanjo paraded many corrupt politicians during his time yet "killing corruption" is still part of our campaign promises today. It is a fraud unfortunately many will realise when it is too late to withdraw their vote. 1 Like |

Boss13:I agree with your post but you just stated your perception about Goodluck's anti-corruption system. Before you keep misquoting Goodluck like every other APC supporters Goodluck never said corruption is good or everyone should be corrupt. Am glad you mentioned constitution and am glad earlier on, Goodluck has specifically hammer on the constitution's inefficiency in fighting corruption hence his back door tweaking of using technology and it is a valid arguement that a responsible government ought to take the yam from the goat so that he wont have to take blame for other's corrupt practices. Well did you bother to read the constitution on our anti-corruption law? Now how many senator deem it fit to take action for it to be review? And if the law is not strong enough to tackle it the C-in-C that is not a dictator cant use veto power to go against it. Top of the countries with least corruption index are those that have a better system of channeling government's funds like the Swiss and Some Europe countries compared to China that keep fighting and prosecuting etc. In my own opinion we have more roles to play by being anti-corruption as a society first. In China people report corrupt practices straight up cos the government cant go about the street just as you've highlighted in your post. Part of the confab report is the removal of immunity and constitution review,so yes to Goodluck and no to Buhari cos his method of 'killing corruption' sounded like word of mouth to me. He said only corruption free people will be part of his government,my question is what if the people get corrupt along the line? Yes take the yam away first then chase the goat away. |

Av u ever wondered y corrupt govt officials detest a buhari presidency? Am very sure its cz of hz track record, dey knw under a buhari presidency doz convicted of graft wld be jailed.
