GogetterMD: Presidential pardon is for criminals and looters not for saints and good citizens bro...it is granted by state council which buhari and all APC governors are members...it cannot be granted if they don't support it... On ffk, what's his crime? did any court convict him? Do you know that APC leaders like saraki, goje, etc have similar cases in court; why not ask APC why they allowed them to represent them...that's if we follow your line of reason... |

bidex:so reasoning amount to being bribed? Its not your fault, you've been brainwashed. Just before you think its an abused, been brainwashed means to be conditioned to think along with someone else's ideals without thinking twice...for example if APC said anyone that think GEJ is trying his best, they'll see the person as being bought by PDP. APC have been manipulating people since 1660. |

The belief that GMB will fight corruption is a LIE. He doesn't understand the workings of demoracy in the first place. He believes he can send people to jail but forgot that it is the judiciary that will determine that; unlike in the military Era. Whereas GEJ system is about prevention instead of cure. Things like e-payment for job done has eliminated cheques duplication in the ministry and parastatal. The man on the street do not know how much nigeria has saved from these. Also the detection of ghost workers, fertilizer allocation system, etc which has prevented the committing of the crime in the first place is usually better than jailing. Prosecution is a cost element to the state treasury when prevention was possible. GEJ believe in building schools rather than prison. He believe in awarding scholarship so that the greater populace will become indeed productive. GMB on the other hand, believe in jailing people. He seem to have the sharia discipline sort of. Such sharia tendency does not serve any institutionalised long term goals; it practically dies with the leader, just like he did in his first tenure.

Boss13: All what you said requires the support of the judiciary and the legislature. The executive arm of government cannot solely fight corruption in Nigeria. This is what you should all understand. |

Jbenue: Presidential pardon is constitutional and is meant for criminals and looters not for saints and good citizens bro...it is granted by state council which buhari and all APC governors are members...it cannot be granted if they don't support it... Finally, how can we fight corruption better in your own understanding |

Whynotthetruth:u still haven't told us what institution gej is building to fight corruption because last time I check efcc is more active during obj tenure and even if there is this institution, the truth is corruption is on an astronomical level during this tenure than any other. and lastly how much did nwobodo stole? |

Whynotthetruth:.... did technology stop farouk lawan frm collecting bribe? did GEJ approach stop d money dah wznt remitted into NNPC acct? Did hz approach stop d kerosine subsidy scam? Even going by ur analogy, u seem nt to agree wiv pple being convicted of crimes. Prob u want a state of lawlessness whr offenders go unpunished. |

xrisdon: Mister, please stop pretending that GEJ is fighting corruption. If he was, Nigerians are not dumb not to have known. Apart from the fertilizer subsidy scam which you refer to, what other sensible steps has GEJ taken to prove your point that he is doing anything with fighting corruption. To a stunned national audience, GEJ declared that he is now coming up with plans to fight corruption. Is he for real? Coming up with a plan after almost six years? And you want to defend a man that says "how much did Nwobodo stole that Buhari jailed him?" Are you for real? |

I am not criticizing anybody. I just feel that punishment should been apportion to whoever commit a crime under wise, if some people go scot free just like that after a crime committed, it will turn to everyday thing.! Whynotthetruth: |

I think GEJ's way of fighting corruption is best to GMB coz you can not send an accuse person to Jail without a competent court find him or her quity of d crime which I believe dt's what Buhari wants to do |

To some of you examples; with the latest automated system of revenue collection Jonathan introduced... most agencies and ministries won't have access to cash talk more of stealing same...it is a cashless system...When there's no money; there won't be any stealing and you won't have a farouk lawan or subsidy scam because the system has been fixed...Now some exceptional cases that will crop up; will be very easy to detect and punished.... Just like how the system crashed last December when some people wanted to manoeuvre and steal...hence they only delayed federal staff salaries but didn't steal again... you can now trace such people and punish them...it is this magic that also helped stop fertilizer scam without much ado....thanks |

Whynotthetruth:Another yeye question..the question you should be asking how many years did GMB stay in office? So you expect him to convict every criminal within a short period in office..GEJ has spent 6 years in office, how many corrupt officials has he prosecuted?.. He is even pardoning and defending them. |

davico2006:.... u cant conclude base on wat u bliv. dere's no way he wld jail an accused person in dz democratic dispensation without a court trial. U need to be well informed bro b4 u draw ur conclusions. D APC intends to constitute a separate court to fasten corruptn cases nd dey'll change d penal code. All these things cant be possible without d lawmakers passing d bill into law in d upper nd lower chambers. He isnt cumn as a military administrator, things av changed. Dont equate a democratic govt he intends to preside over wit hz military reign. |

Focus on corruption: In nigeria everything is corrupt. You and me. *I beat traffic, do u? *I desire excessive gain and u? *I m selfish, u? *Lie somethines, u? *Cheat if chanced, u? *Slightly Tribal, aren't u? *emm possessive, To shorten this list, build me friendly environment, not to jail or kill we. Therefore u not corrupt if u'r innocent of the list. Be the one to fight corruption. |
