Gents and ladies, I have a brother that was banned for 10years in 2010 for not disclosing his previous application and passport with option of apapeal ( he was denied student visa in 2006 for not provoiding details. That was before E-paasport). He is now in good shape (good job and family),finacially comfortable with extensive travel experiences. The question is can he re apply for the UK Visa? Please note that the ban will expire in 2019. |

daramolavo: Yes I also got the mail and someone said if you have a ref number and d salutation read dear your name and not applicant then you are successful. Well was so nervous when I opened mine and was granted a 6months multiple. |

I just realized I made a stupid mistake on my application. I had a passport I never travelled with b4 d e passport only have a rejection for uk visa on it. I though it was retrieved by nis in exchange for my e passport. Just found it today, while my hubby was searching for something else. I even wrote an explanation in d form that I had a passport but didnt have d records cos it had been retrieved.i really believed this story. I have absolutely nohing to hide on d passport nd already filled in details of my previous rejectn but stated i cldnt remember d details nd d date but only d year.nw my issue is I must have sent it in with my visa dt was approved in 2010. Nd I knw hw quick they r in assuming an applicant has lied. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vanillasky: 10:00am On Apr 04, 2015 |
aibisoye:No I had no records of it. But I stated in d additional info page that I had a previous passport. It had been retrieved nd that I had used it in applying almost 10 yrs ago. |

@Justwise:I was denied this year January on basis of not having family ties in the UK (Invitation Letter). The basis was on my closing balances which were less than 10,000 NGN, thou I had about 620k in my account for the trip but it was not considered, cos the fund the was deposited few weeks to the application. I intend to re-apply but want to build my salary account with about 700k for the next six months. But I do not have working friends in the uk so as to obtain an invitation letter. I have a good job here, just want to visit the uk and return to my job, dats all. Please advise on my chances of getting a visa. |

hoomogh: What is your salary range now? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by worry357: 1:51pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
hoomogh: You have NOT been refused because you do not have family or an invitation to the UK. Do not know where you got that idea from! You do not need an invitation for a visitors visa. Your funds must be sufficient for your travel. accomodation and food, plus spending money. This must not empty your account! You will still need funds when you return home. Leaving nothing after the trip looks like you plan to stay. You need strong ties to proove that you will return home, like letter of leave, or family, or managed landed property. |

Vanillasky: Pls I really would like input on this. It was an honest mistake...I really believed dt was d case nd I am hoping doing something about it now will save me unnecessary issues. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by hoomogh(m): 2:30pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
worry357:Yes, I provided an introduction letter to theBritish High commission, my letter of employment, sizx months payslips, evidence of landed properties were also included. The only doubt is that I withdrew funds during the process the application was filed, does this mean they contact your bank for current account balance? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by worry357: 2:42pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
hoomogh: They always have ways of checking your statement and funds. If what you claimed to be there does not match with what they found then rejection. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 2:53pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
Vanillasky: I don't see this as a major prob if you met all other requirements, the good thing is that you acknowledged previous refusal. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by hoomogh(m): 6:52pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
worry357:now I get! Can I deposit like 600k, along side salary inflow for the next three months before I re-apply? Please advise on how long should I leave the funds b4 and after application. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by worry357: 7:13pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
hoomogh: If you boost your account with large amounts they will just suspect money logement and you are doomed again. They want to see a steady pattern of transactions. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by hoomogh(m): 8:10pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
worry357:Kindly explain what you mean by steady pattern of transactions. I have set aside 600k for my trip to and fro. My question is how long should this fund remain in my account before I tender it for re-application.Note that my salary inflow is steady according to my offer letter. |

hello guys, good job to you all, i'm a new user, i wish i had found out this forum earlier.. i have been reading from page 1 and still reading, but please i have some questions, i have been recently refused a uk visa and i want to reapply. i found out that the box for reason for refusal is not enough to input the reason, please how do i go about it? i also intend to attach a letter to address the previous reasons for my refusal, is there a particular format for this?. I have a letter from my employer adressed to the ECO, british high commission, i hope that is the right address. looking forward to your replies. God bless |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 11:20pm On Apr 06, 2015 |
hercules906:You can use additional paper, just write your reference number on the sheet and attach it to the printed form. There is no special format for this letter provided it is written with standard spellings. Addressing the letter to the ECO is ok, but ensure that you deliver it by hand (not by post) along with your other documents |
