That's a lie,tho d guy from Absu made 1st class but Longe Opeyemi from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko,Ondo state was the best graduating student in the Nigerian Law school for last year.

*though very young,only state university in the lot

I don't know why some people will always make contributions without any analytical mind and a capacity for deep thinking. The ratings of all law faculties in Nigeria has always put Unilorin ahead in everything. As a student and faculty president back then in school, I led the school team to conquer Africa in Kenya in an International Arbitration Competition, after Unilorin had conquered Nigeria.So, we don't say we're the best based on Law schl performance alone. Even Jamb confirmed Unilorin as the school with the highest preference by ADMISSION seekers last year.We're just BETTER BY FAR. Unilorin..making sense since 20BC.

[b]Unilorin is Excellent. However, rating based on just the Bar Finals performance isn't a sufficient method of accessing a good faculty of Law. Anyone who has written Bar finals before will understand that whichever school you graduated from has extremely low influence on your result.

The Faculty structure, Composition of Academics, Resourcefulness of the Law Library, Delivery methodology and Ethical Compliance with the Professional Regulations should be the major yardstick in any profound rating of Law faculties.

In many cases, the least significant students in the University comes out with the most shinning results at the Law School, and vice-versa. This is because Law School training is a different therein from the University training. Law School is a Professional Training Ground while the latter is just a home of Academics.

Thus, if all the other criteria are taken into cognizance, The Lagos State University Faculty of Law LASULAWS can never be omitted from the list, especially with its largest University Law Library in Nigeria. [/b]

Of course. Nigerians now take sides on issues based on tribe. We are busy complaining about South Africa, yet we are almost getting to their level seeing the way we attack other tribes verbally on various issues.

Tribalistic killings go start soon in Nigeria if care is not taken, and the government does not start a programme of oneness in Nigeria...

where Council of legal Education rating us to have best
results in August 2014 bar exams.... Lolz they should have
asked our lecturers from 100level... What do you expect
from a class that has a certified first class, 48% second
class upper and numerous 2.2...no 3rd class....

OAU, Ile-Ife Nigeria's most radical and well known lawyers. Femi Falana, Mike Ozekhome, Bayo Olujimi, Fred Agbaje, etc are products of the school. O. C. J . Okocha and Rotimi Akeredolu, two former NBA chairmen are products of the school. I still remember Muhammed Fawehinmi, the son of Gani Fawehinmi saying his greatest regret is not studying Law in Ife.

Even the Chief prosecutor of International Criminal Court (ICC) - Barrister Fatou Bensouda is a product of OAU ( Oba Awon University)

The rating was based on cumulative performance of 3 years (2012-2014) and not just a single year...The School is truly better by far.
