CEO...Nobody was born with a dull brain, its left to individual to work on his/her intellectuality..Like my lecturer do say " There is no excuse for failure"..The poorest(also an orphan) won the best brain of a whole faculty in Unilag...Tho I understand some situations beyond one's control can contribute negavitely on one's academic performance but that shouldn't be an excuse...For there were so many peeps at the outdoor who were in a more difficult situation than yours and they finished very well...

Back to your question: Do you have a sponsor? Cos studying in USA is quite expensive....Try to check on Google the schools that offers your intended course of study and accept a very low grades. Gurus can help you out on suggestions...Send an email to the grad cordinator if they do accept that grade(very important)...If they do,.Pay the application fee from $30 upward, send your transcript, your recommendation letters, personal essay, standardized test etc..Some schools may request for transcript evaluation from any naces evaluator,(but 2.74 will be extremely low after evaluation).. Pray extremely hard,..Pls don't go through any agent, you can do all this yourself...
I wish you all the best bro

good to hear but can one apply for visa himself too without an agent?

Start by googling the schools that accept that grade and lower...and you can throw the question open to peeps here, I'm sure there will be one or two on this forum who can also help you out on schools like that...What course you going for?..

Check these schools if they offer your course and check their requirement, its 3.0 and less than
Southern Illinois university Carbonsdale
Alabama state uni
University of Arkansas, Monticello
Mississippi valley state uni
West virginia state uni..

Check more bro...Cheers!!

If you as a person with this clear and matured way of resoning in situations of this nature. When you get here, don't drop this skills or be swayed by the reasoning of most Nigerians you find here.

Not everyone here is coming for schooling and from their comments it's not hard to tell.
Yes sir. I'll do my best.

Goodmorning and how was our nyts? Owk,I got admission for Jan this year,I was meant to resume in school on the 23rd but I got an appointment for my interview on the 19th Jan cos dia was no closer date. I was denied visa wit a letter wc has(214b) stated on it,so I had defer my admission till August. I dn't knw au best to prepare again so I need and I wnt to knw d percentage of my gettn visa ds tym around.

Still this is not enough info for anyone to know where the issue was. What school, who got the school for you, what's your credential, what do you know about your department, who is your sponsor, how did you prepare, how did you perform in the interview, and so on.........

FYI: You can get the visa a day to resumption. So, forget about the fact that you went on 19th while school resumed on 23rd.
