I read the transcript of an interview in one of the Nigerian dailies where the king of Ode-remo claimed they migrated from iremo and ilode quarters in Ile -ife, hence the name Ode-Remo.
I have a friend from Ijebu-isara, it's not listed above. Not many people also know that some part of ijebu share boundaries with some Ife villages.

It is hard to see how if China a more advanced country with 300 million people a civil service a navy etc in the 19th century could be treated as itt was what chance any group in West Africa had. At that time Nigeria could not hae been more than 20-30 million people in small nations or tribes

The Ijebus themselves were never all within one Ijebu Kingdom and while today we have a so called Awujale of Ijebuland we must remember that "land" is not a Yoruba word. IJebus as a group were never part of the Oyo empire

You've got all the useless stereotypes these folks attach to Yoruba people, including the idi.otic claims that only Ijebus sold slaves. When all Yorubas groups did (Oyos were even bigger slave traders than the Ijebus cos they had more slaves) - and the number of slaves sold by all Yoruba groups combined before kiriji wars (19th century) was minimal (not even up to 10,000 combined based on all the slave records I have seen), compared to the other coasts who sold slaves in hundreds of thousands. Now you want to intentionally add chest-beating and being conceited to it - just allow, man.
