The Idea of the SW,SE and the SS uniformly seceding as the "Republic of Southern Nigeria" is intriguing. There was a time I actually thought this might be the best option. Unfortunately, I don't seee this ever happening for 2 reasons:

1]The present day Yoruba man has lost all sense of self determination and sovereignty (which is why us Igbos generally perceive Yorubas as cowards)


2] The Yorubas know that a Southern Nigerian Republic probably won't last very long. They know they can't control the Igbos by themselves. I think that the Yoruba man is more comfortable with Nigeria than a Southern Nigeria,hence the alliance with the North. The very idea of Oduduwa Republic scares the $hit out of them. They just don't have it in them to go it alone.
