so what do you say to the women who use sex to punish their hubbies? is that reverse râpe? cheesy

Reverse rape? Lol...that is emotional abuse, still parts and parcel of domestic violence. If you feel you are being abused, there's always an option of breaking off the relationship.

The truth is that these men are VICTIMS too!
They suffered unspeakable abuse from their fathers and MOTHERS as children.
A generational CURSE! angry

You can tell from the way some "boys" write on NL.
VERY ABUSIVE.
You can tell the "func" was capitalized in their domestic and spiritual lives! cheesy
Just to answer simple thread na verbal assault!
Conceived by generational PEDO-PHILES and RAPPPPPIZTZ! cry

So now you are INSISTING that you know my own family members better than I do? I don't blame you, anything to make a point. This back and forth is unnecessary and unproductive. If you have been exposed to men that did such I wasn't. Stop peddling what you experienced as the norm because it isn't.
How much exposure do you have?I'm not insisting that your family members are that way,I'm just saying wife beating is common in Nigeria.
What i do not agree with the Op is the question of percentage. She makes it look like it's a norm and widely spread.

I already wrote about what my family is like.Your opinion won't change that.

there's nothing wrong with the title, if the stats is as high as 50%, then one can conclude its a nation of wife beaters - especially when nothing is being done by the law to curb the menace.

police rarely get involved in domestic violence. the churches usually ask the victims to persevere and stay in the marriage. this is not good enough. steps should be taken to punish the culprits.
i like this new coogar.

I find it very funny when people say they laugh at feminists who according to them ends here. You want equality and women to be treated well but you don't want to do anything about it. Yet you can sit down and laugh at those that are doing something. The internet is a powerful platform to reach people. Facebook would not be rich today if people did not recognise that you can reach a lot of people. At the time feminism was at its infancy in the west, there was no internet and even today the western feminists use Internet. Also how many feminists in nairaland do these people know outside nairaland for them to know that it ends here or do they want to tell us that they don't know any feminists in the real world?

What manner of fuckery is this thread?
Most cases of spousal murder in Nigeria are carried out by women! So do we now say Nigeria is a country of husband killers?
Most domestic violence in Nigeria are carried out by women. It is sometime like a ratioof 85:15 .
Men are indeed suffering in Nigeria.

I saw this on YouTube and thought it was nice enough to share.

The Internet is a good place to influence public opinions.
Instead of supporting all the schools-of-thought that damage the image of the black man, you can change it by dumping ridiculous mentality that doesn't benefit us and of course showing your good sides too.

Don't let all the focus be on the wrong things all the time.

Not that it's my business but I don't think her comment was a snide one. (At least to me)

if everything like that is regarded as snide, maybe any person who professes feminism online is also correct if they saw your first own post as snide.

It's funny "when people" say it end here really?coco? And how does she know i don't do anything about it?So posting on NL is doing something about it? I do a lot by the way about it,and here on NL.Some young ladies who i will keep anonymous can attest to it yet i don't shout feminist everywhere.

When i talk about feminists my true opinion about it is that i don't see any here; That's just me and i was not even referring to Nairaland alone but Nigeria as a whole,as you can see i was referring to Freecoco post.

It's like someone saying married women are cheats, why should i feel offended when i am not?And suddenly it was no longer about marital rape but about feminists?really? Is what the topic is all about?
