jln115: Your Cheetah jets, if any remain are dead in bone yard and ZERO qualified pilots to fly them. SAAF has ZERO cheetahs jets in service, even the Gripen that is in service have half in cold freezer storage and no combat qualified pilots, now you bring up dead Cheetah, dead Boeing 707.....aircraft that are no longer airworthy and having no pilots. We don't entertain dead equipment on this forum, you only argue with what you have. You must post source of Gripen jet flight endurance, it's your aircraft. No normal jet fighter flies 10 hours non stop, Su-30 Flanker is one of the most enduring in the world, yet with air refueling, its range is about 5,000 km....less than 5 hours endurance. Show us specs of Hawk jet endurance, it's you claiming 10 hours flight with heavy bomb load.....prove your fairy tale claims ! . 1 Like |

vandalZA:. Not an excuse. One subtle judgement of education is to know when to write more formally and less casually. And for a student, ( I'm guessing both of you, including the mzilakazi guy are)who still have plenty of strict formal writings to do in exams, projects, assignment and term papers, it is absolutely inexcusable. There's no way such teenage scribblings and lazy economy of literary efforts will not catch up with you when writing in exams or making a formal report. Part of education is knowing what writing style to apply in certain platforms. When talking to foreigners in an international forum which can be accessed from any part of the world with the immediacy of internet technology, YOU HAVE TO FVCKING BE AT YOU FRIGGING BEST. If he doesn't know this, that makes two of you large babies in adult forms If you check his (rudzsa)last post, he employed a conscious attempt at writing more intelligently Now away with you, kids don't bother me. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 9:14pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
jln115: Nope, you first brought up SAAF Cheetah jets and Boeing 707 jets and I said they are all retired and out of service, no proof of air worthiness and no qualified combat pilots, or else I would bring up NAF 18 Jaguar jets and 22 MiG-21 jets adding 40 new jet fighters. You started distorting the argument by bringing up dead South African aircraft from the graveyard, fool . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Nobody: 9:18pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
agaugust:NO!!! I said the 707 can be refurbished AFTER that post , YOU said that you would bring up the Jaguars and Mig-21s!! I only mentioned the 707 in my first post!! |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 9:19pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
jln115: And I said SAAF has ZERO air refueling capacity, your Boeing 707 died 8 years ago and is now in a MUSEUM "During 2006, the squadron was involved in the Gripen development programme with a 707 flying to Sweden to conduct in-flight refueling trials. Operations ended with the Boeing 707 flight flown on 10 July 2007 to Bujumbura, Kinshasa and Kindu. Aircraft 1415 was flown to AFB Makhado on 3 0ctober 2007 and 1419 allocated to the SAAF Museum at Swartkop." http://www.af.mil.za/news/2007/170.htm SAAF cannot fly combat jets beyond Zimbabwe.....eat the humble pie whitey . 1 Like |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 9:24pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
jln115: ....Your Boeing 707 air refueling plane is now a museum piece .....Gripen or Hawk will never fly 10 hours non-stop even if demons refuel you from the sky, aircraft have endurance limit before engine malfunction starts, even Rafale jet that is superior to all SAAF jets has endurance of only 3 hours maximum, no matter the air refueling. http://www.deagel.com/Strike-and-Fighter-Aircraft/Rafale-C_a000479002.aspx Thank me for educating you about endurance and range, they are two different things. SAAF cannot do combat beyond Robert Mugabe's land ! 1 Like |

agaugust: AND? I know its retired!! I said if the need arises then we could refurbish it!! We are also getting new transports in the next 2-3 years!! Oohh and BTW.....our Gripens flew all the way to the DRC!! |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Nobody: 9:43pm On Jul 10, 2015 |
agaugust:Dude!!our Gripens flew to the DRC let alone Zimbabwe!! And i ask you again PROVE that the Gripen can't fly for 3 hours straight!! And your source only provides the flight endurance with the available fuel load of the Aircraft, it has nothing to do with the endurance of the engines! |

jln115: Your short-legged Gripen jets could NOT fly direct from South Africa to Congo DRC, they were stopping over to beg for fuel and engine cool down in Zambia, half way on their journey. Pretoria to Zambia is 1,150 km and only 1 hour flight. http://www.mapcrow.info/Distance_between_Pretoria_SF_and_Lusaka_ZA.html "Four Gripens were seen at Ndola airport in northern Zambia in early April, flying out of the Democratic Republic of Congo on their way back to South Africa, and carrying offensive weapons. The movement of Rooivalk and Gripen aircraft to the CAR region is believed to be the first time these assets have been deployed outside South Africa’s borders for potential combat operations." http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30633:rooivalks-gripens-and-troops-were-sent-to-the-car&catid=111:sa-defence&Itemid=242 That is the Gripen jet you idiiot want's to fly for 10 hours non stop to Nigeria across the ocean, LOL....Shark will eat all your pilots when your jets drop into the sea water. I am teaching you about your own air force jets capabilities dude Next, show me proof that SAAF has capacity to put a Boeing 707 back into combat from a museum, you don't manufacture the aircraft ! BTWN, retired jets or museum decorations are not recognized as air worthy combat aircraft. You will fly with no bomb to DRC, but if you carry bombs, you won't fly past Mugabe |
