Williamso:My bad! Quick one, can working weekends say only Saturday be added as a working day? if yes, then i guess a an Msc student, the academics there is quite different from ours and probably you could get 2 almost free from school work days in a week in accordance to the schedule so 3 days still stands. Lastly, you can get a job for 10-12euros and still make about 800euros in a month. |

kbsoft:Dude! Honestly you need to lower your expectations... Will you have time to study? assignment? etc etc Well, if you can cope, no problem. Lastly, you can get a job for 10-12euros and still make about 800euros in a month. My disclaimer should have sorted this out. You can even break into the 4-figure monthly range. But make no mistake; once you break into the tax threshold, you will be taxed (brutally). 1 Like |

Williamso: pheeww ..to be frank, that is sadly very true! plus who would want to study with that good opportunity and not make excellent grades? Williamso:yeah! sure more money more responsibilities more tax |

Regarding block account funding. I visited just two banks (GTBank, Fidelity Bank) in my area Festac Town. After I explained what I came for, I discovered that some of these bankers to a large extent lack knowledge of the task they have been saddled with. As for GTBank- the lady I was directed to made some calls and told me sorry that they have stopped Form A transactions. When i insisted and mentioned thier HQ, she said i should try their HQ that they might be an exception. As for Fidelity, I got in there, went to the Funds Transfer section and made my inquiries but I was surprised the lady said to me, I must have a corporate acct b4 I can talk about Form A transactions. So I got out and sent a mail to their headquarters and this is their reply below- Dear Mr. Kingsley, Thank you for your mail. Regarding your enquiry, please note that we do not send out soft copy for form A. You will have to visit the branch with the following requirements: FOR PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES 1. Current School Bill (the validity should be within the existing school calendar year and also under school logo) 2. School admission letter (for authenticity, it must be under school’s letterhead, or school logo, if sent via e-mail) 3. Copy of Applicant’s (account holder) International passport bio date page or certificate of incorporation/business registration for corporate bodies. 4. Customer’s Letter of Authority to debit for the transaction (properly verified by the branch) 5. Completed Form A with the school’s name indicated as the beneficiary. 6. For post-graduate degree, copy of First Degree Certificate (not Statement of Result) Note that school fees will be paid directly into the school’s account. FOR PAYMENT FOR STUDENT’S UPKEEP OR LIVING ALLOWANCE 1. Estimates of the Student’s Living Allowance on the school’s letter-head for authenticity 2. School admission letter (for authenticity, it must be under school’s letterhead, or school logo, if sent via e-mail) 3. Copy of Applicant’s (account holder) International passport bio date page or certificate of incorporation/business registration for corporate bodies. 4. Customer’s letter of authority to debit account for the transaction (properly verified at the branch) 5. Completed Form A with the student named as the beneficiary. 6. For post-graduate degree, copy of First Degree Certificate (not Statement of Result) Currently, the only option for form A payments is interbank funds which can be accessed any day. The rate is as advised by Treasury Group. Thank you for choosing Fidelity Bank. .....so the bottom-line is that it is 100% possible using the Form A for funding the students acct. Again, seems one must be an acct holder. What I don't know now is what type of account needed ( savings or current). 10 Likes 2 Shares |

UPDATE ON FORM A So Fidelity Bank debited my account at an Exchange Rate of 220.985NGN for 1EUR, that's 2naira plus what is currently obtainable on google.com This was done two days after I formally initiated the transfer at their BRANCH OFFICE. And their charges? Very Very insignificant. WOW!!! FIDELITY ROCKS!!! Make boys go hustle Blocked Account money oh.... Cos #WinterIsComing and #EuroIsRising I must tap into this low exchange rate before e go high. Twinkle1, forgive my rather harsh tone oh... I just didn't want to give you a soft landing, and wanted you to THINK OUTTA THE BOX . My Apologies. 1 Like |

crowns2:Do a NIP (dunno if I got the acronym right) bank transfer. But just go to your bank and meet the Customer Service and tell them you want to transfer money from your account to another account in a different bank. They would direct you on who to meet or do it for you. Eke40seven: abi oh.. Even me wey bin dey try calculate the thing sef don decide to just rest till I reach there. But one thing is certain, boys no fit hungry if you work SMART. iyke20024: oga mi, thank u once again for discovering Fidelity. 10 bottles of Origin for you. Oga e get question wey I wan ask u. After the debit of your account by the bank, how long did it take you to get the telex receipt? and how was it sent to you? You prolly would have answered this question before, but pardon me for asking again. |

crowns2: We are in same situation. I'm lookin for cheaper means too...still considering how to move funds from my zenith to fidelity cos zenith bank charges are sometin else; N3 for every N1000 sent. They still charge you for VAT and oda strange abbreviations following it up. moving letz say 2m to fidelity will cost norin less than N7000 in charges. Thats my major problem now! That 7k cant just go like that |

Kelvinpam: lolz I just dey look u..u dey find cheap means.. Why u no use ATM take withdraw the 2m or use ATM do transfer? lol.. No mind me. Abeg if ur money don complete, lock up for the intangible 7k make u fund that DB account ASAP. Cos once Greece gets out of their economic mess, the Euro would rise again, and you might end up spending much more than the 7k wey u de try save. |

Hi guys, while the struggle for blocked account cntinues, I will like to chip in something for those who wanna transfer large amount of money from account A to account B Just approach ur bank and open an online banking platform. stanbic bank is free First bank is 1k or so Gtb is 3k plus token, then initiate the transfer. Its as simple as that. #150 will be charged for Max of 1m withing 24hr so in total, you will part with #300 for 2m. My candid suggestion. 1 Like 1 Share |
